England (+330)
England again goes into an international competition with lofty expectations and big pressure. The team is often among the favorites in big tournaments, but rarely delivers.
On top of that, manager Gareth Southgate needs this Euro Championship badly for job security. He’s working with one of the best national teams in the soccer world, but is yet to deliver a trophy.
Shockingly, England’s appearance in the EURO 2020 final was the first time they reached the championship match. The country has never won a European Championship. In fact, the England’s only major trophy is the controversial 1966 World Cup victory at home soil.
Despite England’s repeated failures, the sports betting sites still have the Three Lions as favorites because of the talent at Southgate’s disposal.
Impact Players
Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane is the centerpiece and skipper of the English squad. The 30-year-old is in the prime of his career and is being depended on heavily to end England’s drought.
As the undisputed leader of this club, Kane’s impact goes well beyond the pitch. In 2023-24, Kane is on his way to capturing the Golden Boot award this season. He has tallied 32 goals and seven assists in 29 matches this season.

23-year-old Phil Foden, 20-year-old Jude Belingham, and 22-year-old Bukayo Saka should provide England with a nice lift. The youngsters already have plenty of experience at the highest level, so England’s attack should be deadly this summer.

In England’s latest effort, the national team took a draw against Belgium after a 1-0 loss to Brazil a few days earlier.
In their final EURO 2024 qualifying matches, they defeated Malta by two goals in a 2-0 match and then a draw against North Macedonia, 1-1, in November.

Aside from the 3-1 win over Italy in October, England haven’t been at their best in international friendlies lately. The nation has talent, but they haven’t played like a championship team.
England’s odds to win EURO 2024 suggest they have the best chance, though Kane might have to play the tournament of his life for it to happen.
I do not recommend betting on England to win as a +330 favorite. They should qualify in a group with Slovenia, Serbia, and Denmark, but beyond that, there are no promises for Southgate’s Three Lions.
The head coach often relies on his favorites instead of picking the squad based on form. On top of that, his tactics are basic and don’t get the best of the team.
England has the talent to go all the way and could still do it, but the odds are just not good enough if you consider the Southgate factor.
France (+350)
Six years after France won the 2018 World Cup, the country still has bragging rights over England and other European rivals. However, the French are hungry to win another major international tournament after coming up short at EURO 2020 and losing the World Cup 2022 final.
France was knocked out of EURO 2020 in penalties versus Switzerland. It was a shocking defeat for the country, which entered the event as a favorite. That being said, there is some level of forgiveness after winning the World Cup. France was a team that went into EURO 2020 overconfident and too relaxed.
Following that disappointing performance, Didier Deschamps is expected to have this team re-focused and prepared for EURO 2024.
Impact Players
Paris Saint-Germain star and France’s captain Kylian Mbappé is one of the best soccer players in the world. The 25-year-old continues to elevate his game and could be considered the best player and not just one of the best.

With his incredible speed and athleticism, Mbappé can be unstoppable. He has the talent to play right or left wing and finds similar results as a playmaker. In addition to being physically gifted, Mbappé is mentally strong and likely won’t be overwhelmed by the EUROs.
In 2023-24, Mbappé has been a true impact player for the national squad. He’s scored nine goals and five assists in eight matches! In top form playing alongside another athletic playmaker in 21-year-old Eduardo Camavinga, Mbappé will have goal-scoring help at the European Championship.
The team has world-class players in all lines, so Mbappe won’t have to do it on his own. France is equally capable of dominating games and defending a lead, so this team will go to Germany with only one goal in mind – the cup.
Recent Performances & Team Form
France has had lukewarm results in international friendlies this year. They looked out of sorts in a 2-0 loss to Germany in March and had a couple of defensive lapses in a 3-2 victory over Chile.
Still, Germany is the only team to beat France since the World Cup, which they were able to do twice. On September 12, 2023, Germany ousted France in a 2-1 final.

Germany (+600)
After England and France, the UEFA EURO 2024 odds drop off significantly to Germany at +600. The host country must garner some respect, as a team that has had recent success against France, though.
Germany has won the EUROs on three occasions, the most recent in 1996. While they are tied with Spain for the most titles, it has been roughly 30 years since their last.
Looking to impress the home crowd, we’ll see if Germany hoists the UEFA European Championship trophy in Berlin.

Joshua Kimmich leads the Germans into EURO 2024 on home soil. The 29-year-old midfielder is a world-class talent who possesses all the tools to propel Germany far in this tournament.
The Bayern Munich midfielder is a dynamic two-way player who can quickly contribute as a defender or facilitator. With Kimmich contributing in more than one way, Germany is in good hands with Marc-André ter Stegen manning the net.
Barça’s outstanding goalkeeper is in the process of a massive tear in La Liga. If his form carries over to the EUROs, and I believe it will, Germany will surprise a few people. Ter Stegen has the ability to steal a game or two for the Germans at home.
If you also factor in defensive star Nico Schlotterbeck’s presence on the pitch, Germany will be tough to score against at EURO 2024.

Germany has worked well as a team in recent international friendlies after a poor run of form last year. There are no concerns for Germany’s team chemistry. In two 2024 matches, Germany cleared France for a 2-0 win and a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands.
However, Germany did not finish 2023 in great shape. They dropped a 2-0 defeat to Austria and 3-2 to Turkey in November. This followed a draw versus Mexico, 2-2.

Despite the lackluster results in the second half of 2023, Germany put all concerns aside against the Netherlands and France. They als drew one of the easiest groups, as Germany has Scotland, Switzerland, and Hungary to contend with in Group A.
If you add the home support, the Germans can’t be underestimated. And yet, the team has struggled to deliver at the highest stage recently, so I’m reluctant to back Germany before I see how the team looks early in the tournament.

While England appears like a lock for the top spot in Group C, the second qualification position is there for the taking. The Serbs are likely to be a tough match for Denmark, but the Danish side won’t go away quietly!
I wouldn’t discount Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Rasmus Højlund as major contributors at EURO 2024. Denmark stands a decent chance of getting out of the group stage, but they will face strong resistance in the knockouts. However, at +4000, I am willing to back the upset-minded Danes. This team has the habit of overachieving at EUROs.
