Bayern vs. PSG Betting Preview: Odds, Predictions, and Best Bets (2nd Leg)

The Bayern vs. PSG odds for the Champions League semifinal second leg suggest we should see a great show once again. The opening match delivered one of the craziest spectacles in soccer history at such high level, so it’s interesting to see if the game will be as open again.

The best part is that the tie is still very much in the balance, with both sides confident in their chances to reach the final. But which team will keep a better composure to win this one? I explore the latest odds and betting lines before sharing my Bayern vs. PSG prediction and betting pick.

Bayern Munich vs. PSG Odds and Betting Lines (Second Leg)

  • Bayern to Win: +146
  • PSG to Win: +300
  • Draw: +445
  • Over 4.25 Goals: -106
  • Under 4.25 Goals: -114
  • Bayern to Advance: -112
  • PSG to Advance: -122

The top soccer betting sites don’t have a clear favorite to progress here, with both sides evenly priced at -112. Bayern has the home advantage in the second leg, while PSG is leading by one goal after the first one, so it could go either way.

I can’t argue with that, and it’s interesting how the totals line has moved after that crazy 5-4 in the opening match. It was set at 3.5 goals for that one, which was my main pick for the first leg, but the bookies have now moved it to 4.25.

While I don’t expect the second encounter to be that wild, it’s almost certain we will see plenty of chances again. If you want to bet on many goals again, or target any other market, Lucky Rebel is a great place to do it. The bookie offers hundreds of wagers for this one.

Bayern – Can They Find the Right Balance?

I’m not sure what to make of Bayern’s performance in the first leg. If you focus on how they played in attack, it was out of this world. At the same time, the team looked like they don’t really care about defending, which led to five goals in their net.

It must be mentioned that Manuel Neuer didn’t make a single save, as PSG were very efficient. If you look at the xG numbers from the opening match, you will see that the French side generated under 2 expected goals. Bayern themselves did better with 2.78.

PSG’s efficiency made the difference, so the question is whether Bayern want to take the same risky approach for the second leg. While I trust their attack, going all-in would be like rolling the dice on the roulette table: it could certainly go either way.

Instead, the team should look into controlling the game better and providing some cover for the defense. This is not Bayern’s strongest area, but another shootout might be too risky.

PSG – Can They Even Play in a Different Way?

Most of the things I said about Bayern Munich apply to PSG as well. The team is deadly up front, but the defense looked lost in the opening leg. The big question here is whether the French team can even play in a different way.

If you remember their UCL title run last year, it was a wild ride. People keep saying they were the best team in Europe, and I agree, but PSG could’ve easily gone out against Liverpool, Aston Villa, or Arsenal. The second clash against Villa was especially impressive, as the English side completely dominated the future champions of Europe and would’ve at least forced extra time if they were clinical enough.

Overall, PSG relies on outscoring the opposition, which is fine until you meet your match. Bayern Munich is arguably the only team on the same level offensively, maybe even slightly better, so that begs the question if a tactical adjustment is needed.

I think the answer is yes, but finding a solution that will allow PSG to stay dangerous while limiting the opposition is easier said than done.

Bayern Munich vs. PSG Predictions and Best Bets

This should be another tasty match between two giants, making it hard to predict who’s going to win. Bayern’s team is slightly better, in my opinion, but Luis Enrique is the more experienced coach. I trust him more to find solutions for the opposition.

All things considered, betting on the draw at +445 seems the obvious choice. You would normally except to see something like +300 for such a game, but I suspect no one is targeting that outcome after the hectic opener.

This creates an opportunity that I can’t ignore, so I’m going for the draw in this one. It’s a risky betting pick, but the potential return is excellent.
