Top World Cup Player Prop Bets for June 18: (With Reasoning)

Here’s why I selected today’s World Cup player prop bets:

Canada vs. Qatar: Alphonso Davies to Score or Assist (-118)

Canada had many bright moments against Bosnia, but the lack of class in the final third was the reason they didn’t win their opening match. If the team manages to dominate possession in similar fashion against Qatar, I expect a better result.

The home nation will be able to rely on the returning captain Alphonso Davies, and he could make all the difference in the world. He’s by far the team’s most creative and talented player, adding that extra class in the final third.

Davies is a great dribbler, can create for his team, and score himself. There’s a good chance he will be involved in most of Canada’s dangerous moments, so getting -118 for Davies to score or assist in this match is one of the best World Cup player props today.

The Bet
Davies to Score or Assist
-118

Switzerland vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina: Embolo to Score or Assist & Switzerland 4+ Corners (+130)

Switzerland is in a tough spot after a shocking draw against Qatar in the opening match. The European team controlled possession and had 20+ shots, but poor finishing and the lack of urgency in the second half left the door open for their opponents.

As a result, Switzerland is now under pressure entering the game against Bosnia and Herzegovina. I expect them to once again have more of the ball against a team that was contend to defend in the opening match against Canada.

We should see plenty of possession for Switzerland, which is the reason I decided to combine two wagers. The first one is for Breel Embolo to score or assist. The striker was his team’s most dangerous player in the opening match, scoring the only goal and creating 5 chances for his teammates.

Embolo will likely have chances to find the net and should be able to create some opportunities for the players around him as well.

To boost the odds a bit, I combine that with Switzerland to have 4+ corners. That’s a very low line for a team that’s expected to have the ball in like 60+% of the game. For reference, Switzerland had 10 corners against Qatar.

That combo leads to the nice price of +130, so I’m happy to pick that for my World Cup daily player props.

The Bet
Embolo to Score or Assist & Switzerland 4+ Corners
+130
