Beat The Geek Leaderboard

Rules and Overview

1. Join the game by making a free account with The Sports Geek.

2. Players will make weekly picks on the spread for NFL games during the 2026-27 season. Only games that occur on Sunday will be eligible to select from.

3. The deadline to make your Beat the Geek picks will be the earliest kickoff of that given week (typically 1:00 p.m. EST).

4. Tiebreaker questions will be required to dispute any equal scores at the end of each week.

5. Players will earn one (1) point for each successful spread pick.

6. There are five types of prizes to be won throughout the season — see the Prizes tab for more information.

Beat The Geek Prizes

There are multiple prizes to be won from playing Beat The Geek. See each prize type below, and make sure to take advantage of the Referral and Early Bird Draws which are available for a limited time only.

Early Bird Draw

Contestants who register for Beat the Geek prior to September 1st 2026, 12:00am E.S.T will qualify for one entry into the Early Bird draw.
Three randomly selected entries will be awarded a $500 gift card each of their choosing, issued via our gift card partner, Giftogram.

Referral Draw

Contestants who refer another player to play Beat the Geek will receive an entry into the Referral Draw after their referred entrant completes (at least) one week’s worth of picks.
Three randomly selected entries will be awarded a $500 gift card each of their choosing, issued via our gift card partner, Giftogram.

Weekly Prizes

Each week, the overall winner (i.e. most successful picks, plus a tiebreaker if necessary) will win a $500 gift card of their choosing, issued via our gift card partner, Giftogram.

Overall Winner (1st Place)

At the completion of the NFL regular season, the user with the most successful picks over the course of the season (i.e. 1^st on the Overall Leaderboard) will be awarded a $2500 gift.

Grand Prize: NFL Vacation Package for 2

For each week that a user scores better than The Geek (i.e. places higher on the Weekly Leaderboard than “The Geek”), they will receive one entry into the grand prize draw. At the conclusion of the contest, one randomly selected entrant will be selected as the winner.
Our grand prize winner will be issued a trip for 2 to a 2027 regular season NFL game of their choosing. This package includes flights and two nights’ hotel stay. A max value cap will apply to each of these prizes.

Terms and Conditions

No purchase necessary. To participate, contestants must register for a free TSG account.
Contestants must be residents of the contiguous US or Canada, excluding Quebec.
Contestants must be 21 years of age or older at time of registration.
Only one entry per user; participants attempting to register duplicate accounts, bot accounts, or otherwise fraudulent behaviour will be removed from the contest without warning.
The Referral Draw and Weekly prizes will be issued within 30 days of the completion of the 2026-27 NFL season.
The Early Bird Draw will be issued within 30 days of NFL Kickoff (Sept 9^th).
The Grand Prize (NFL Vacation Package for 2) will be issued within 30 days of the announcement of the 2027-28 NFL schedule.
