Mike Tomlin next team odds will be one of the hottest markets when they’re released! Tomlin and the Steelers parted ways after 19 seasons, which was the longest tenure among NFL head coaches. But what’s next for Tomlin?
I’ll sift through the Mike Tomlin next team odds, go through the favorites, contenders, and sleepers, and give you my prediction at the end of this article!
Mike Tomlin Next Team Odds (Snapshot)
| TEAM | ODDS |
|---|---|
| Tennessee Titans | +200 |
| Atlanta Falcons | +300 |
| Miami Dolphins | +600 |
| Cleveland Browns | +800 |
| Baltimore Ravens | +900 |
| Las Vegas Raiders | +1200 |
| New York Giants | +2000 |
| Arizona Cardinals | +2500 |
Top NFL betting sites have Tennessee (+200) favored to hire Tomlin with an implied probability of 33.3%. But Atlanta (+300) is right behind them with a 25% implied probability.
The next tier features Miami (+600), Cleveland (+800), and Baltimore (+900), and I have my thoughts about the AFC North teams below!
Finally, there is Las Vegas (+1200), the New York Giants (+2000), and Arizona (+2500). The Cardinals are the only team I don’t analyze, simply because I don’t think they have a realistic chance of landing Tomlin. I’m surprised that Dallas isn’t among the options here, as Tomlin’s history and profile is the type that owner Jerry Jones would fall over himself to bring to “Jerry’s World”.

What Happened Between Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers?
Tomlin stepped down as head coach of the Steelers on Tuesday afternoon.
Tomlin does have a great record of never finishing below .500 in 19 seasons in Pittsburgh. However, he was also 8-11 in the playoffs, and had lost his last seven postseason games. The Steelers lost 30-6 on Monday at home to Houston, and that sealed Tomlin’s fate. He leaves Pittsburgh with a 193-114-2 record, and a Super Bowl in 2008, which was his second season with the Steelers.
It is more likely that a combination of factors contributed to Tomlin’s decision to leave the Steelers. The lack of playoff success is a big reason, but it might also be simply fatigue. Not many coaches stay with one team that long, and Tomlin almost got to 20 years with the Steelers. The team, and the organization as a whole, may have just wanted a new voice, even though most Steelers’ players seemed to love him.
The Steelers Still Hold Tomlin’s Rights
The Mike Tomlin next team odds will be stacked when they’re released. There are still nine teams left to fill vacancies in the NFL head coaching carousel, including Pittsburgh.
There is also an interesting wrinkle in that Tomlin wasn’t fired by the Steelers. Therefore, a team would have to trade for him in the future. New Orleans did the same thing with Sean Payton, who retired from the Saints. He then took the job in Denver, who had to give up a 2023 first-round pick and a 2024 second-round pick for Payton, while also getting a 2024 third-round pick.
The reports are that Tomlin might take the year off and work in media. However, that doesn’t mean a team won’t step in and try to make him an offer he can’t refuse!
Mike Tomlin Next Team Betting Favorites
These two teams are at the front of the line in the Mike Tomlin next team odds, if Tomlin decides to put the headset on in 2026!
Tennessee Titans (+200)
The Titans finished 3-14 this season, and haven’t finished above .500 since 2021. Mike McCoy took over for Brian Callahan, who was fired on October 13, 2025. But the Titans are now looking for a new permanent coach. They also had a rookie quarterback in Cam Ward, and the 2025 #1 overall pick out of Miami definitely had growing pains.
Mike Tomlin, meet the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee, meet Mike Tomlin. I’ll let y’all take it from here. https://t.co/gbg9jpFeWY

I don’t know how attractive the Titans are to Tomlin, even though they seem to be set at quarterback. They don’t have much at receiver, and the defense has talent, but was put in tough positions by the offense.
Tennessee should reach out to him to gauge interest, but I wouldn’t put too much stock in their Mike Tomlin next team odds.
Atlanta Falcons (+300)
I think the Falcons should be the betting favorites over Tennessee after an 8-9 season, which tied them with Carolina and Tampa Bay in the NFC South. However, the various tiebreakers gave the Panthers the division title.

Atlanta has running back Bijan Robinson and receiver Drake London, and the defense is solid, if unspectacular. The biggest question is under center, where the Falcons have an old Kirk Cousins, and Michael Penix Jr. continues to deal with health issues. There also aren’t many quarterbacks worth checking out on the free-agent market.
But the Falcons could have a bright future with Tomlin, who would raise their floor. With a good quarterback, Atlanta would be the best team in a terrible division!
Mike Tomlin Next Team Betting Contenders
These next three teams are in the running, although I think two are overpriced.
Miami Dolphins (+600)
The Dolphins might lose out on John Harbaugh, and Tomlin would be the next best option. They fired Mike McDaniel, intending to go hard after Harbaugh. But they have yet to interview the former Baltimore head coach.

Miami has talent, although they’re still figuring out what to do with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who said he would be ready for a fresh start. But with McDaniel gone, that could be the fresh start he needs.
The Dolphins had the chance to hire Tomlin before he joined Pittsburgh, but they can right that wrong here. They desperately require a winning culture, and Tomlin could provide that!
Cleveland Browns (+800)/Baltimore Ravens (+900)
I’ll put these AFC North rivals together as I don’t think it’ll happen, and I think they’re not worth these Mike Tomlin next team odds. I just can’t see Tomlin going to another AFC North team, as he has too much respect for the Steelers’ organization and their fans, despite the latter calling for his head over the last couple of seasons.
If I had to choose between either, it would be Baltimore, as they have two-time MVP Lamar Jackson at quarterback. But it would be the biggest shock of the offseason if Tomlin wound up in Baltimore.
Mike Tomlin Next Team Betting Sleepers
These two teams should at least be considered, but various reasons could keep them from bringing Tomlin in.
Las Vegas Raiders (+1200)
The Raiders’ job isn’t good. They fired Pete Carroll after one season, and it looks like standout defensive end Maxx Crosby could be on the market. They do have tight end Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty, but the Raiders will likely move on from quarterback Geno Smith.
Las Vegas does have a massive amount of money in cap space, which is interesting for any new coach. There is also the #1 pick, which the Raiders will likely use on Indiana’s Heisman winner, Fernando Mendoza, or Oregon’s Dante Moore.
Minority owner Tom Brady is aiding in the process of finding a new head coach for the Raiders. However, unless he can come back to play quarterback, I don’t think he can entice Tomlin to join him in Las Vegas.
New York Giants (+2000)
There is a ton of value in the Giants’ Mike Tomlin next team odds. However, I think they’re going to land Harbaugh, which would obviously take them out of the running for Tomlin.
The Giants would be a great landing spot for Tomlin. They have young talent on offense in quarterback Jaxson Dart, running back Cam Skattebo, and receiver Malik Nabers. The defense is talented, but they underachieved this season. Tomlin can help there.
I would keep an eye on the Giants and Tomlin. The longer they go without hiring Harbaugh, the higher their chance of persuading Tomlin to take their job and not go into media.
Mike Tomlin Next Team Betting Prediction and Pick
For my Mike Tomlin next team betting prediction, I’m taking Atlanta at +300! They’ve recently restructured Cousins’ contract, which would free up money for the Falcons to use. Except for the Giants, I think Atlanta is the best job on the market!
If Tomlin does choose to dive back into the coaching game, I’m backing Atlanta at +300!
