Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), June 24

There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.

Minnesota Lynx (-9) vs. Washington Mystics (-115)

Minnesota (13-4) heads into this matchup looking for a response after a surprising 84-79 home loss to Washington. Olivia Miles paced the Lynx with 22 points, six assists, and five rebounds, while Sonia Citron added 21 points as Washington (8-7) secured its third straight victory. The Mystics also controlled key areas of the game, finishing with a rebounding advantage and scoring from the free-throw line far more often with a 21-13 edge.

Still, this feels like a favorable bounce-back spot for the Lynx. The biggest factor in the upset was Minnesota’s unusually poor shooting from beyond the arc, where it connected on just four of 21 attempts. For a team that has been the league’s most reliable three-point shooting group all season, shooting at a 38% clip, that performance looks far more like an exception than a trend.

Washington deserves credit for its recent surge, but asking the Mystics to duplicate that effort against an elite opponent is a different challenge, even at home. Expect Minnesota’s offense to look much sharper in the rematch and do enough to create separation.

Portland Fire (+133) vs. Chicago Sky

Portland (8-9) enters this matchup with momentum after an impressive 94-89 victory over Seattle. Bridget Carleton led the way with 24 points, while Carla Leite delivered a standout all-around performance with 20 points and 10 assists. The Fire were lights out from deep, knocking down 17 three-pointers, with Carleton hitting seven of those.

Chicago (4-12), meanwhile, is searching for answers. The Sky have dropped six straight games and are coming off a difficult 92-63 loss to Connecticut. Kamilla Cardoso posted a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds, but the offense struggled badly overall. Chicago shot just 23% from the field and connected on only four of its 30 attempts from beyond the arc.

Despite playing at home, the Sky have not been able to capitalize on their home-court advantage, posting just one win in seven games. With Portland coming off a confidence-building performance and offering plus money, the value lies with the underdog at WNBA betting sites.
