Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), August 11
There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.
New York Liberty (+135) vs. Indiana Fever
The Liberty (20-13) arrive in Indiana (20-12) riding a four-game winning streak. That momentum is backed by something more sustainable than hot shooting, which is a defense that has been consistently reliable. Breanna Stewart is playing at a high level right now, and when Stewart is locked in, New York is a genuinely dangerous team regardless of venue.

Indiana’s offense is terrific, no question. But the Fever’s defense has been sloppy, and that opens the door for a Liberty squad that knows how to grind out wins. The bigger red flag for Indiana bettors is their ATS record. The Fever are just 8-9 against the spread as a home favorite this season. That’s a team that consistently underperforms expectations when the public loads up on them.
Getting the Liberty at +135 is real value for a team on a four-game roll with a defensive identity and a star player in form. Laying -160 on a Fever team with a leaky defense and a shaky ATS record as a favorite is exactly the kind of spot sharp bettors look to fade the public.
Washington Mystics vs. Las Vegas Aces -7.5 (-115)
The Mystics (19-12) have been on a roll lately, winning seven straight games. That sounds impressive until you dig a little deeper and realize five of those wins came at home. This one is on the road, and Washington’s offense, which can stall out at the worst times, is going to face a much stiffer test away from friendly confines.

The Aces (22-11) are coming off a blowout loss to New York, but that game came with A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young, and Chelsea Gray resting. Think of it like a scheduled day off, where the result doesn’t reflect where this team actually stands. Outside of that outlier, Las Vegas has been putting up some of the best offensive numbers in the league, and they are going to come out with a serious chip on their shoulder here.
The spread at WNBA betting sites is -7.5. That’s a decent margin to cover, but when a team with elite offensive firepower is motivated and facing a Washington squad that struggles to score consistently on the road, the math works out in Vegas’s favor. Back the Aces to win big and cover comfortably.
