Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), October 2
There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.
Dallas Wings vs. Golden State Valkyries: Valkyries -8 (-112)
Game 2 was a wild one. Arike Ogunbowale put on a heroic performance with a WNBA playoff-record 45 points to drag Dallas back into this series with an 108-100 overtime win. But let’s be honest: the Wings needed everything to go right just to escape with a victory. That kind of lightning-in-a-bottle effort rarely strikes twice, especially when you’re heading back into a hostile environment against the league’s best defense.

Golden State’s home-court advantage is real and backed up by the numbers. The Valkyries went 14-9 against the spread at home during the regular season. Dallas, meanwhile, struggled badly on the road all year, going just 7-15 ATS away from home. The Wings also already absorbed a 24-point beatdown in Game 1 at Golden State. That’s not a fluke, that’s a matchup problem, and a good reason to back the Valkyries at WNBA betting sites.
The Valkyries own the league’s best defense, and that unit is not going to let Dallas’ offense explode for a second straight game. Playoff defenses make adjustments, and Golden State has the personnel to take Ogunbowale’s supporting cast out of the equation. Expect a more controlled, dominant performance from the home side tonight.
