Best Premier League Predictions for Week 9 (With Reasoning)

Here’s a more detailed version of my EPL picks and odds on each, offered by the best soccer betting sites online:

Man City vs. Brighton: Both Teams to Score (-225)

Manchester City and Brighton have developed a habit of producing entertaining encounters, with both teams finding the net in each of their last four meetings. That trend makes backing both teams to score an appealing option, especially given the attacking quality on display from both sides.

City have been particularly dangerous going forward, scoring at least twice in eight of their last ten matches. Their ability to consistently create chances and put teams under pressure should give them plenty of opportunities against Brighton. However, the visitors have more than enough firepower to get on the scoresheet themselves.

Brighton recently demonstrated their attacking potential by scoring five against Crystal Palace and three against Arsenal. They have also conceded in five of their last eight Premier League matches, suggesting there are opportunities for City to exploit.

With both sides showing plenty of attacking threat, backing Both Teams to Score at -225 looks like a strong play.

Tottenham vs. Crystal Palace: Tottenham to Win (-176)

Tottenham head into this London derby with momentum on their side after picking up back to back Premier League victories. Spurs followed a 3-1 win over Coventry with an impressive 2-0 result against Chelsea, showing signs of finding their rhythm at an important stage of the season.

They are also unbeaten in their last three league outings, having picked up a point away at Manchester United with a 1-1 draw. That recent consistency should give Tottenham plenty of confidence heading into this matchup.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are struggling for form after losing their last two league games. Even more concerning is their defensive record, having conceded seven goals without scoring against Brighton and Newcastle.

With Tottenham playing with greater confidence and Palace looking vulnerable at both ends of the pitch, the home side are well positioned to claim all three points. I expected to see something like -200 for the Spurs, so I’m more than happy to grab the -176 available at most bookies.

Aston Villa vs. Fulham: Nicolas Jackson (+135)

Nicolas Jackson has been showing plenty of attacking threat this season and looks a strong candidate to find the net against Fulham. The striker has already scored four Premier League goals, registering 19 shots with seven on target. His willingness to get into dangerous positions and test opposing goalkeepers makes him an appealing anytime goalscorer option.

Jackson has also found his scoring touch in recent league appearances, getting on the scoresheet in consecutive matches against Tottenham and Brentford. He recorded ten shots across those two outings, highlighting just how involved he has been in the attacking third.

His threat extends beyond domestic competition, too. Jackson scored twice in Villa’s emphatic 6-0 Champions League victory over Fenerbahçe, further demonstrating his ability to deliver in front of goal.

With his recent scoring form and consistent shot volume, Jackson has the tools to make another decisive contribution. Confidence is the key for strikers, making the Villa forward lethal right now, so the +135 available for him to find the net against Fulham is one of the best EPL picks this week.
