2023 NFL Week 12

The NFL Week 12 slate features a slew of weekday action with three games on Thanksgiving Day, followed up by the first-ever Black Friday NFL football game on Amazon Prime.

We will evaluate the holiday matchups and then dive into the NFL Week 12 odds for Sunday’s card. Check out our Week 12 NFL predictions for every game on the board at the best NFL betting sites. All odds are courtesy of Bovada:

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Green Bay Packers+7.5 (-110)+275Over 45 (-110)
Detroit Lions-7.5 (-110)-350Under 45 (-110)

The Lions have hosted Thanksgiving Day football every year since 1934. One of their most frequent opponents has been the Packers.

The Lions are 7.5-point favorites to win and advance to 9-2 on Thursday afternoon at Ford Field. Following a poor performance from the Lions’ defense against the Bears, expect a much better effort on Thanksgiving.

Jordan Love should be under pressure frequently. We like the Packers’ defense, but Love won’t come up with enough plays to cover the point spread bet.

Packers vs. Lions Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Detroit Lions -7.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Detroit Lions (-350)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 45 (-110)

Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Washington Commanders+10 (-110)+340Over 45 (-110)
Dallas Cowboys-10 (-110)-460Under 45 (-110)

The Cowboys have made Thanksgiving football a tradition since the 1960s. In this year’s matchup, they welcome the Commanders to Arlington for a divisional showdown.

While the Commanders should make a game of this in the first half, the Cowboys’ pass rush should prove too much as the game progresses.

Expect to find Micah Parsons in the backfield often against a mediocre Washington offensive line. The Cowboys should pull away for a comfortable double-digit win over the Commanders.

Commanders vs. Cowboys Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Dallas Cowboys -10 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Dallas Cowboys (-460)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 45 (-110)

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
San Francisco 49ers-6.5 (-115)-280Over 43.5 (-110)
Seattle Seahawks+6.5 (-105)+230Under 43.5 (-110)

In the Thanksgiving nightcap, the 49ers and Seahawks meet for a critical battle in the NFC West. Since Deebo Samuel’s return to the field, the 49ers have looked like a Super Bowl contender again.

This looked like it would be a competitive game a few weeks ago. However, Geno Smith may not play due to an elbow injury, and the 49ers are hitting their stride now.

If Drew Lock has to play, the 49ers should roll. Smith at less than 100 percent doesn’t afford the Seahawks the best chance, either. We like the 49ers to win and cover at Seattle.

49ers vs. Seahawks Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: San Francisco 49ers -6.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: San Francisco 49ers (-280)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 43.5 (-110)

Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Miami Dolphins-7.5 (-110)-360Over 42 (-110)
New York Jets+7.5 (-110)+280Under 42 (-110)

The Dolphins and Jets clash in a meeting between one of the best offenses and defenses in the NFL on Black Friday.

Are the Dolphins interested in hitting the road for the holidays? The Jets should have their moments on defense in this one. Despite the Jets’ QB situation being in disarray, Zach Wilson or Tim Boyle should have quality field position to work with.

They might manage to catch the Dolphins napping and slightly disinterested on Friday. Beating the Dolphins should be tough, but keeping the final score within eight points is entirely possible.

Dolphins vs. Jets Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: New York Jets +7.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Miami Dolphins (-360)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 42 (-110)

Carolina Panthers vs. Tennessee Titans Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Carolina Panthers+4 (-110)+170Over 37.5 (-110)
Tennessee Titans-4 (-110)-200Under 37.5 (-110)

The Panthers and Titans engage in a battle of teams looking ahead to the future. Will Levis and Bryce Young hope to factor into their plans.

Young has not looked like a first-overall draft pick thus far in his career. Levis slid to the second round, where he has shown some flashes of potential in small doses.

Should you lay four points on Levis and the Titans at football betting sites? The Panthers have been a disappointment this season, but probably not.

Expect a field goal to separate the Panthers and Titans in Nashville.

Panthers vs. Titans Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Carolina Panthers +4 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Carolina Panthers (+170)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 37.5 (-110)

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Jacksonville Jaguars+1 (-110)-105Over 46.5 (-110)
Houston Texans-1 (-110)-115Under 46.5 (-110)

At the start of the season, you likely didn’t predict that the NFL Week 12 odds for this matchup would favor the Texans. Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud has been such a fantastic rookie. He has already exceeded most expectations.

Nevertheless, we spot some value on the Jaguars at these odds. They were sitting ducks two weeks ago against a frustrated 49ers’ team coming off a bye week. The Jaguars responded with a 20-point win over the Titans in Week 11.

The Jags appear to be back on the right track and regained their confidence again. Look for the Jaguars to emerge victorious at NRG Stadium.

Jaguars vs. Texans Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Jacksonville Jaguars +1 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Jacksonville Jaguars (-105)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 46.5 (-110)

New England Patriots vs. New York Giants Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
New England Patriots-4 (-105)-185Over 34.5 (-110)
New York Giants+4 (-115)+160Under 34.5 (-110)

We know that it is the Giants, but laying points on the Patriots as a road team presents no value. It doesn’t matter whether Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe is under center, the Patriots’ offense doesn’t have any playmakers. They do not have a Saquon Barkley on their roster.

The Patriots can win this game, but laying four points is questionable. At +160 odds, consider taking the Giants to cover and win on the moneyline.

Patriots vs. Giants Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: New York Giants +4 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: New York Giants (+160)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 34.5 (-110)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Indianapolis Colts Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Tampa Bay Buccaneers+2.5 (-110)+120Over 42.5 (-115)
Indianapolis Colts-2.5 (-110)-140Under 42.5 (-105)

The Colts return from their bye after a 10-6 win over the Patriots in Germany. It wasn’t a memorable offensive performance, but give credit to the Colts’ defense.

They handled their own business and have been showing improvement following a slow start to the season. After a physical contest against the 49ers, the Buccaneers’ defense should be gassed against a fresh Indianapolis squad.

This is another matchup where oddsmakers are expecting a close game. As short home favorites off a bye, the Colts are likely the right side over the Buccaneers.

Buccaneers vs. Colts Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Indianapolis Colts -2.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Indianapolis Colts (-140)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 42.5 (-115)

New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
New Orleans Saints+1 (-110)-105Over 41.5 (-110)
Atlanta Falcons-1 (-110)-115Under 41.5 (-110)

The Saints and Falcons converge at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for what should be a competitive matchup, according to the NFL Week 12 odds. Several of our NFL Week 12 predictions include bets near a pick’em.

We favor the Saints in this important NFC South showdown. After the Vikings handed them a 27-19 loss, expect the bye week to serve New Orleans well.

They should have ample time to prepare for Desmond Ridder and a one-dimensional Atlanta offense. The Saints are the play as a small road underdog.

Saints vs. Falcons Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: New Orleans Saints +1 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: New Orleans Saints (-105)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 41.5 (-110)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Pittsburgh Steelers-1 (-110)-115Over 34 (-110)
Cincinnati Bengals+1 (-110)-105Under 34 (-110)

Do you have faith in Jake Browning to lead the Bengals to the playoffs? With Joe Burrow ruled out for the rest of the season, Browning will have to mature quickly.

Once Burrow left against the Ravens, the team just seemingly called it quits. Browning didn’t play poorly, but the life was sucked right out of the team.

The Steelers are banged up in the secondary, and the injury report didn’t improve after Week 11. Ja’Marr Chase and Browning will have chances to connect. Browning is unproven, but Steelers’ QB Kenny Pickett has been regressing since Week 1.

We like Browning to play adequately enough to lead the Bengals to a win over a limping Steelers’ squad.

Steelers vs. Bengals Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Cincinnati Bengals +1 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Cincinnati Bengals (-105)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 34 (-110)

Cleveland Browns vs. Denver Broncos Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Cleveland Browns+1.5 (-110)+115Over 36 (-110)
Denver Broncos-1.5 (-110)-135Under 36 (-110)

The Browns survived to edge out the Steelers by a field goal in Week 11, 13-10. They leaned on their aggressive defense to provide rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson with a big assist in his first career NFL start.

In Denver, at Mile High Stadium, Thompson-Robinson will have to come up with an extra play or two. A win won’t come as easy on the road.

We like the Broncos to cover the short spread in a competitive Week 12 contest in Denver.

Browns vs. Broncos Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Denver Broncos -1.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Denver Broncos (-135)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 36 (-110)

Los Angeles Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Los Angeles Rams-2 (-110)-135Over 46 (-110)
Arizona Cardinals+2 (-110)+115Under 46 (-110)

Last week, the Cardinals had opportunities to knock off the Texans on the road. Despite a strong effort to intercept Stroud three times, Kyler Murray was unable to deliver against a pesky Texans’ squad on the road.

Back home in Arizona, the Cardinals are likely going to be involved in another close game. However, this time, look for the Cardinals to be on the other side. Murray and the Cardinals should eke out a win to cover.

Rams vs. Cardinals Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Arizona Cardinals +2 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Arizona Cardinals (+115)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 46 (-110)

Buffalo Bills vs. Philadelphia Eagles Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Buffalo Bills+3 (-105)+160Over 47.5 (-110)
Philadelphia Eagles-3 (-115)-185Under 47.5 (-110)

At first glance, the Bills were a decent value as underdogs. But, it’s hard to recommend the Bills with their injuries in the secondary. Already banged up going into last week, the Bills’ secondary suffered three more injuries against the Jets.

Entering the 2023-24 season, the primary concern for the Bills was depth. They managed to pull away from the Jets despite the injuries, but it will be significantly tougher against Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

After dealing with the Chiefs on Monday Night Football, a letdown is a concern, but they should be in fine shape offensively. The Eagles win and cover at home.

Bills vs. Eagles Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Philadelphia Eagles -3 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Philadelphia Eagles (-185)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 47.5 (-110)

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Kansas City Chiefs-9.5 (-110)-430Over 45 (-110)
Las Vegas Raiders+9.5 (-110)+320Under 45 (-110)

The Raiders have been dealt a tricky hand with the Dolphins and Chiefs on consecutive weeks. Fortunately, for the Raiders, the Chiefs are on the heels of their highly anticipated matchup against the Eagles.

Backing the Raiders to win outright is a tough ask, but they can keep the final score within single digits. The Chiefs’ offense has not been running up and down the field like they have in previous years.

Maxx Crosby and the Raiders’ pass rush is key for a successful attempt against the Chiefs. It may not result in a win, but covering 9.5 points should be within reach as home underdogs.

Chiefs vs. Raiders Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Las Vegas Raiders +9.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Kansas City Chiefs (-430)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 45 (-110)

Baltimore Ravens vs. Los Angeles Chargers Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Baltimore Ravens-4 (-110)-185Over 46.5 (-110)
Los Angeles Chargers+4 (-110)+160Under 46.5 (-110)

The Ravens fly to the West Coast after a comfortable two-touchdown win over the Burrow-less Bengals on Thursday Night Football.

Immediately after the Bengals took a 10-7 lead early in the second quarter, Burrow exited the game to give the Ravens a significant advantage. They weren’t the only team hit by the injury bug.

Lamar Jackson finished the game, but injured his ankle. Additionally, tight end Mark Andrews is out for the rest of the season. With this in mind, the Chargers are worth considering as home underdogs.

Ravens vs. Chargers Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Los Angeles Chargers +4 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Los Angeles Chargers (+160)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 46.5 (-110)

Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Chicago Bears+3.5 (-110)+165Over 45.5 (-110)
Minnesota Vikings-3.5 (-110)-195Under 45.5 (-110)

Week 12 opens with an NFC North battle in the “Black and Blue Division” in Detroit, Michigan, and then concludes on Monday Night Football in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Bears are coming off a brutal loss after surrendering a 12-point lead over the Lions with only three minutes remaining. To Justin Fields’ credit, he played well and appeared to be over his hand injury.

The defense played well until folding in the final minutes. They picked off Jared Goff three times and could have had at least one more.

With Fields back in the starting lineup, the Bears should keep this game within a field goal.

Bears vs. Vikings Prediction

  • Point Spread Bet: Chicago Bears +3.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Chicago Bears (+165)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 45.5 (-110)

Best NFL Bets This Week

Now, let’s examine the NFL best bets to lock in for Week 12 at the top sports betting sites. Our best NFL bets have been incredibly profitable this season, including 2-0 on the Jaguars and Bills in Week 11.

Jacksonville Jaguars (+1) at Houston Texans

With the 21-16 win over the Cardinals, the Texans are 6-4 and a game behind the Jaguars in the AFC South. In the first meeting, the Texans blasted the Jaguars at EverBank Stadium by a score of 37-17. In other words, this is a significant matchup that could give the Texans the lead in the division.

The Jaguars are 7-3 and got back on track last week. After a 34-3 loss to the 49ers, the Jaguars responded with a 34-14 win over the Titans. Everything was working for the Jaguars, as the defense and offense equally held their own.

If Stroud plays how he did against the Cardinals, the Texans are not beating the Jaguars. Unlike the Cardinals, who failed to take advantage of three Stroud interceptions, Trevor Lawrence will take advantage of multiple turnovers.

The Jaguars have had this game circled since getting kicked in the teeth by the Texans in September. After getting their poise back last week, expect the Jags to look like the best team in the AFC South.

The Bet
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS +1

Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles (-3)

The Bills were among our NFL best bets for Week 11. As expected, the Jets’ offense looked clueless and unprepared. This week, we are fading the Bills on the road in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

For an already injury-riddled secondary, the Bills didn’t need any more bad news. However, three more members of the secondary joined the injury report.

Cornerbacks Dane Jackson and Taron Johnson left early, and safety Taylor Rapp exited the game in an ambulance after a scary neck injury.

The Bills held up defensively due to the pass rush against a shoddy Jets offensive line. This will not be the case against one of the best offensive lines in Philadelphia.

A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are likely to have strong performances at home against a depleted Buffalo secondary. For the Bills, the best they can likely hope for is a shootout and Josh Allen outduels Hurts.

We don’t see the Bills having enough personnel on their defense to limit Hurts, though. The Bills should make this one interesting, but expect the Eagles to edge ahead to win by a touchdown.

The Bet
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -3
