Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), June 17
There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.
Dallas Wings (+133) vs. Golden State Valkyries
The Dallas Wings (9-5) head to San Francisco with plenty of momentum after delivering one of their most impressive performances of the season. Dallas rolled past Las Vegas 96-66 on Monday, dominating both ends of the floor and holding the Aces to just 40% shooting. Arike Ogunbowale led the charge with 22 points, while the Wings controlled the glass by a 41-31 margin. Jessica Shepard was brilliant with 15 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists.

Golden State (9-5) enters this matchup in strong form as well after a convincing 78-58 win over Los Angeles. The Valkyries forced mistakes throughout the night, won the turnover battle 15-9, and received another steady effort from Gabby Williams, who finished with 16 points.
This looks like a good spot to back the underdog. Dallas has won three of its last four games and is coming off a confidence boosting statement victory over a championship contender. The Wings are getting contributions on both ends of the floor and have shown they can compete with anyone when their defense is locked in.
Golden State has won three straight, but that streak comes to an end here. Take Dallas to carry its momentum on the road and come away with the outright win at WNBA betting sites.
Las Vegas Aces (-7) vs. Phoenix Mercury (-110)
Expect a focused response from Las Vegas after one of its worst performances of the season. The Aces were blown out 96-66 by Dallas on Monday, struggling to generate offense outside of Jewell Loyd and A’ja Wilson, who was named the Western Conference Player of the Week. Loyd scored 21 points off the bench, while Wilson added 18, but no other Las Vegas player managed to reach double figures in a forgettable effort.

Championship caliber teams rarely stay down for long, and the Aces have consistently shown an ability to respond after disappointing losses. With Wilson leading the way and a veteran roster eager to make a statement, this sets up as a strong bounce-back spot.
Phoenix enters on a three-game losing streak after allowing 111 points in a loss to Los Angeles. Kahleah Copper poured in 41 points, but the lack of secondary scoring was impossible to ignore. Natasha Mack was the only other Mercury player to score more than 11 points, while the defense matched its season high in points allowed.
Las Vegas should come out with urgency from the opening tip. Look for the Aces to reestablish themselves on both ends of the floor and pull away late to cover the 7-point number.
