Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), June 19
There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.
Toronto Tempo (-2.5) vs. Connecticut Sun (-108)
Toronto (7-8) enters this matchup looking to stop the bleeding after three straight losses, including a 113-91 defeat against Indiana. While the recent defensive performances have been concerning, with the Tempo allowing 215 points across their last two games, this sets up as an ideal opportunity to get back on track against one of the league’s least productive offenses.
Laura Juskaite provided a bright spot with 19 points in the loss to the Fever, and Toronto should have enough firepower to take advantage of a favorable matchup. The Sun (2-14) continue to struggle on both ends of the floor and enter Friday after falling 88-81 at home against Washington.

Connecticut’s offensive issues remain a major concern. Annesah Morrow and Leila Lecan led the way with just 11 points apiece in that defeat, while the Sun connected on only 4-of-20 attempts from beyond the arc. They also rank near the bottom of the WNBA in scoring, making it difficult to trust them against a team that desperately needs a bounce back performance.
Toronto has shown more overall talent throughout the season, and this matchup should allow the Tempo to tighten up defensively and pull away. The pick is Toronto to cover the 2.5 point spread at WNBA betting sites.
Minnesota Lynx (-2.5) vs. Golden State Valkyries (-112)
Friday’s showdown features two of the WNBA’s stingiest defensive teams, but Minnesota brings a level of offensive versatility that gives them the edge in what should be a tightly contested matchup.
The Lynx (12-3) put up an impressive 99-83 road victory over Los Angeles. Rookie Olivia Miles continued her breakout campaign with 31 points, showcasing the scoring punch that has helped elevate Minnesota into the league’s upper tier. Natasha Howard added 15 points and nine rebounds, while the Lynx shot an efficient 56% from the field. When Minnesota is operating at that level offensively, few teams can keep pace.

Golden State (10-5) enters on a four-game winning streak after defeating Dallas 91-80. Gabby Williams led the way with 25 points, and the Valkyries knocked down 12 of 25 shots from beyond the arc. While Golden State’s defense has been a major strength throughout the season, their offense remains more reliant on hot shooting nights.
With both teams expected to make life difficult defensively, Minnesota’s deeper collection of scoring threats should prove decisive. The Lynx have more ways to generate offense and are well positioned to secure the win while covering the 2.5-point spread.
