Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), June 26

There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.

Portland Fire (+155) vs. Chicago Fire

The public money is sitting on Chicago here, and it’s easy to see why. The Sky hammered the Fire 101-78 just a few days ago in Wednesday’s matchup. But blowout losses have a way of lighting a fire (no pun intended) under a team heading into the next game. Portland is due for a bounce-back, and this feels like a spot where the revenge factor is real.

Bridget Carleton is the key piece to watch. The data tells us she’s typically a better player than what she showed in that Wednesday loss, which means she was likely below her standard. That’s a correction waiting to happen. Meanwhile, Chicago’s offense isn’t actually that dangerous on a consistent basis. The Sky put up big numbers in that last game, but that kind of production isn’t something they sustain night after night.

At +155, the Fire represent solid value on the moneyline. You’re getting a team primed for a bounce-back at a price that more than accounts for the risk. The Sky are the favorite for a reason, but laying -180 at WNBA betting sites on a team whose offense tends to underperform is a tough sell when the other side offers this much upside.

The Bet
Portland Fire
Lucky Rebel
+155

Atlanta Dream (-1) vs. Golden State Valkyries (-112)

The Atlanta Dream are coming off an ugly performance as they had a season-low 66 points in a 77-66 loss to these same Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday. Bounce-back spots like this one are exactly where sharp bettors look for value. When a team’s offensive output drops to a season low, regression toward the mean is almost always coming.

Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray are too talented to shoot as cold as they did in that first meeting. Expect both players to come out with something to prove, and Atlanta’s offense to look a lot closer to its normal self. The Dream aren’t a 66-point team. That was an outlier, and Golden State shouldn’t count on catching lightning in a bottle twice in a row.

On the other side, the Valkyries leaned heavily on their three-point shooting to fuel that win, and that isn’t expected to produce at the same rate in this rematch. Covering a spread of just one point is a low bar for a motivated Dream squad playing with a chip on their shoulder.

The Bet
Atlanta Dream -1
Lucky Rebel
-112
