The following NFL MVP odds for 2025-26 are courtesy of Bovada:

PLAYER ODDS
Josh Allen (BUF) +110
Patrick Mahomes (KC) +525
Jordan Love (GB) +850
Baker Mayfield (TB) +1400

Josh Allen (+110) continues to lead the NFL MVP betting markets through Week 5. Despite losing to the New England Patriots, Allen’s NFL MVP odds have shortened to +110 from +250. In other words, the defending MVP has witnessed an implied shift from 28.6% to 47.6%.

Kansas City Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes’ MVP price has skyrocketed recently. Over the last two weeks, Mahomes has seen plenty of movement to win the top prize as MVP. He was down the board at +2800 after Week 3 and has only seen a massive bump in public favorability following his latest outing.

Following Mahomes, Green Bay Packers’ QB Jordan Love (+850) has seen a decent jump in his 2025-26 NFL MVP odds. At +850, Love has improved from an earlier price of +1200, or a 7.7% implied probability, to 10.5%.

NFL MVP Betting Favorites for 2025-26

The MVP race is expected to be a tight battle and go deep into the 2025-26 schedule. Let’s break down the leading favorites, according to the best NFL betting sites:

Josh Allen (+110)

In a first for Allen, the Bills’ signal caller collected the MVP award last season. Allen didn’t have the stats on Jackson or Burrow, but the Bills had the better record and were viewed as the most serious contender.

Additionally, Allen did it without WR Stefon Diggs and proved that he doesn’t need an elite No. 1 target to have success. It was a close call against Jackson, but Allen made more plays down the stretch to lead the Bills into the playoffs.

The 29-year-old from Firebaugh, CA, passed for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions on 63.6% completions. He also scampered for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns on 5.2 yards per attempt.

When the Bills needed a play, Allen was always there to answer the call. That was the deciding factor in the end for voters, who sided with Allen’s arm and legs. The Bills are once again going to have a strong team aided by their QB’s decision-making.

Allen is off to a fast start to the 2025-26 campaign for the Bills. He’s thrown for 1,217 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions on 70.4% completions. The dual-threat QB has also picked up 212 yards rushing on the ground and three touchdowns.

Allen struggled mightily against the Patriots in the Bills’ Week 5 matchup at home. Nevertheless, his numbers are still holding strong, and it didn’t have an impact on his NFL MVP betting odds. More people remember the fantastic show that Allen put on against the Ravens in Week 1.

He finished that contest with 394 yards passing, two touchdowns, and 30 yards on the ground. Allen remains out ahead thanks to this season-opening performance. He’ll need a few more games like the one against the Patriots to hurt his chances at repeating and odds!

Patrick Mahomes (+525)

The two-time league MVP is back up to his old tricks in the 2025-26 season. After entering the season as a long shot to win MVP, Mahomes’ odds have been on the move.

The Chiefs went into the new season with fewer expectations than we’ve seen in the past. After getting beaten up in the Super Bowl by the Philadelphia Eagles, public sentiment was its lowest we’ve seen in a while. That was exacerbated after the Chiefs fell short in the season opener with a 27-21 loss to the Chargers.

However, the mood improved in Chiefs Kingdom again following a 37-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens. They are 2-3 after a 0-2 start, which also included a loss to the Eagles in a tight final at Arrowhead Stadium, 20-17.

Mahomes had a standout performance against the Ravens that rejuvenated his MVP chances. He passed for 270 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions on 67.6% completions. The 30-year-old has also rushed for 130 yards and two scores on the ground for the Chiefs.

How can you doubt Mahomes? With Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson out of the equation due to a hamstring injury, and Allen within striking distance, don’t look past Mahomes at +525.

The problem here is that the Chiefs are in a tough spot. If they don’t improve quickly, Mahomes’ shot at the MVP award might be demolished by the lack of team success.

Jordan Love (+850)

Love and the Packers have Super Bowl dreams this season after opening the season with some key wins. They ousted the Detroit Lions in Week 1, 27-13, and then proved it wasn’t a fluke with a 27-18 victory over the Commanders in Week 2.

Through four games, the Packers are 2-1-1 after a wild 40-40 tie versus the Dallas Cowboys. Love has been the catalyst for the Packers under center. He’s passed for 1,000 yards, eight touchdowns, and one interception on 69.4% completions.

Love looks in command of the offense, and he put on another show on the road at AT&T Stadium. The 26-year-old finished with 337 yards and three touchdowns on 72.1% completions in a shootout against the Cowboys. He is putting up MVP numbers, which coincide with his QB rating.

Currently, Love has a 113 rating, which is amongst the top in the NFL. He and WR Matthew Golden have generated an instant connection in his rookie season. Along with Golden, WR Romeo Doubs has developed into one of the best wide outs in the league.

TE Tucker Kraft has also been outstanding for the Packers as a blocker and in the passing game. If WR Christian Watson returns from injury without any blemishes, the Packers’ offense is in great shape. With Love’s decision-making at an elite level, expect him to continue to blossom in 2025-26.

There is plenty of value to consider for your NFL MVP picks at +850!

Best NFL MVP Sleepers in 2025-26

If Eagles’ RB Saquon Barkley being left out of the MVP conversation last year is any indication, the award is essentially a quarterback award.

With that in mind, there are two quarterbacks having strong seasons, catching fantastic MVP odds, so consider adding them to your card:

  1. 1. Jalen Hurts (+1800)

Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts is getting some of the best value on the board to win MVP this season. After leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl last season, he might be ready to win the regular season MVP.

Hurts has been efficient through four games in 2025-26. He has tossed 889 yards and seven touchdowns on 66.9% completions. Hurts’ dual-threat talent is what makes him a dangerous quarterback.

He rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns on 4.2 yards per carry through Week 5. The highlight of Hurts’ season thus far has been spearheading the miraculous 19-point comeback over the Los Angeles Rams in the second half. That doesn’t happen without a quarterback who is poised and cool under pressure.

However, the Eagles blew a two-score lead in the second half in Week 4 against the Broncos. On the bright side, the Bills lost as well, and Hurts had another positive showing.

Hurts has room to make up to catch the top contenders. However, I think he should be at +1000 rather than the current NFL MVP odds of +1800.

  2. 2. Baker Mayfield (+1400)

Baker Mayfield as the NFL MVP? It’s not that crazy! Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are off to a fantastic start, and his MVP odds continue to improve this season.

The quarterback is in great shape to open this season and is playing some of the best football of his career. The former Oklahoma Sooner has passed for 1,283 yards, 10 touchdowns, and one interception on 65.1% completions.

As long as the Buccaneers keep winning games, Mayfield is going to have a chance at MVP. The Buccaneers have a solid team, and Mayfield is a catalyst for the offense. The Bucs are on the heels of a pivotal 38-35 win over the Seattle Seahawks, and have a great opportunity to advance to 5-1 with the hobbled 49ers coming to town.

I backed Mayfield at +2500 in Week 3 this season. That was incredible value, but as he just about enters the favorites conversation, Mayfield is still worth a piece at +1400 odds.

2025-26 NFL MVP Prediction and Betting Pick

With Jackson contending with a hamstring injury and the Ravens in bad shape, the door has opened wide open for Allen. However, at +110, there is no value in betting on the defending NFL MVP.

Instead, the top value play on the board points squarely to the Packers’ signal caller. Despite having a higher QB rating than Allen, Love’s odds to win NFL MVP aren’t in the same territory.

The Packers’ offense hasn’t even been at full strength without Watson on the field, so there is a chance that there is more to offer. Love’s decision-making on the field is exquisite this season. That is unlikely to change as the season progresses.

In addition to the offense, the Packers’ defense is going to win this team a lot of games. If Love and the Packers win the NFC North and are one of the top teams in the conference, he is going to be in the running alongside Allen. In short, at +850, this price is too much to pass on for MVP!
