The following PGA US Open 2025 odds are courtesy of Bovada:
PLAYER | ODDS |
---|---|
Scottie Scheffler | +275 |
Bryson DeChambeau | +700 |
Rory McIlroy | +1100 |

Ludvig Aberg | +2500 |
Justin Thomas | +3000 |
Joaquin Niemann | +3500 |
Shane Lowry | +3500 |
Scottie Scheffler (+275) is a huge favorite to win the fourth major of his career and first US Open. The two-time winner of the Masters and one PGA Championship will be eager to add a US Open title to his resume.
According to the latest US Open 2025 winner odds at golf betting sites, Scheffler has a 26.7% implied probability to win, which is high for a PGA Tour event! You don’t see +275 pre-tournament favorites often, but Scheffler is a special player who can command that price.
Following him, defending US Open winner Bryson DeChambeau (+700) has the second-best odds, with a 12.5% implied chance. Rory McIlroy (+1100) is the third likeliest winner, which represents an 8.3% probability at Oakmont. Already with a win at the Masters, can McIlroy find the same form after struggling recently?

US Open 2025 Favorites
As noted above, three golfers stand out as the clear favorites to win the third major of the year. Before delving into my best US Open betting picks, find a rundown of the top contenders:
Scottie Scheffler (+275)
Can anyone stop this well-oiled machine from winning the US Open 2025? With two Masters and a PGA Championship to his name, Scheffler needs the US Open and the Open Championship to complete the grand slam.
He’s the best golfer in the world right now and will undoubtedly attract the most money at the betting windows. Considering Scheffler’s odds to win, the money is following the 28-year-old as the tournament approaches.
Ranked No. 1 in the OWGR rankings with 756 points, he’s over 200 points ahead of the next closest golfer! Is there any value at +275, though? Let’s break down Scheffler’s chances below.
Recent Form
DATE | TOURNAMENT | FINISH | SCORES |
5/29 – 6/1 | Memorial Tournament | 1st | 70-70-68-70 (278) |
5/22 – 5/25 | Charles Schwab Challenge | T4 | 68-71-64-69 (272) |
5/15 – 5/18 | PGA Championship | 1st | 69-68-65-71 (273) |
5/1 – 5/4 | THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson | 1st | 61-63-66-63 (253) |
4/17 – 4/20 | RBC Heritage | T8 | 64-70-68-70 (272) |
No golfer on the PGA Tour comes close to Scheffler’s stroke right now. The world number 1 has won three of his last four entries, including his latest outing in the Memorial Tournament.
That was a clinic from Scheffler, as he pulled away from the field to win by four strokes! Ben Griffin had a solid performance, but couldn’t keep pace with the unstoppable Scheffler. Even when Scheffler isn’t winning, he’s always been in the hunt this year.

Scheffler has finished in the top 10 in seven straight tournaments and top 5 in six of seven since March 30. Riding a wave of confidence, there isn’t another golfer who touches his current form. He struggled at the 2024 US Open with an uncharacteristic T44 finish, so expect a much better effort here.
Scottie Scheffler 2025 Stats:
STAT | VALUE | RANK |
SG: Total | 2.687 | 1st |
SG: Tee-to-Green | 2.328 | 1st |
SG: Off-the-Tee | 0.776 | 1st |
SG: Approach to Green | 1.342 | 1st |
SG: Around-the-Green | 0.210 | 43rd |
SG: Putting | 0.359 | 27th |
Driving Distance Avg. | 303.3 Yds | 70th |
OWGR Ranking | 756 | 1st |
As expected, Scheffler’s stats are incredible this season. Aside from his work around the green and average driving distance, he has done everything to perfection. Considering how good Scheffler has been with an iron in his hand from the fairway, the driving distance isn’t anything to be concerned about.
Scottie Scheffler showed up at Oakmont Sunday to start preps for the @usopengolf. He played the US Open here at Oakmont in 2016 as an amateur and missed the cut. This week he is the betting favorite. pic.twitter.com/KJiYbF0Zh0

He leads four of the major metrics on the PGA Tour, including SG: Total and Tee-to-Green. Given his insane results in tournaments this season, it comes as no surprise that Scheffler is demolishing the competition statistically as well. It’s difficult to find any faults in Scheffler’s game in 2025.
The Texas native has continued to get stronger and stronger over the last two years, too. He put up some impressive numbers last year, and Scheffler has only built on what was accomplished a season ago. In 2024, Scheffler ranked 1st in SG: Total and SG: Approach to Green, so no, there is no fluke in his numbers.
Nevertheless, as unbelievable as Scheffler is right now, it’s hard to justify betting on him at +275! That price is too short for my US Open golf predictions.
Bryson DeChambeau (+700)
LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau is back on the PGA Tour seeking back-to-back wins in the US Open. He’s coming off a solid effort at Augusta National in the Masters despite failing to catch Scheffler.
Last year, DeChambeau left Scheffler in his dust after his opponent couldn’t find any confidence. The 31-year-old Modesto, CA, native settled for T2 alongside Harris English at 6-under par. Can DeChambeau win another US Open title for LIV? I think he’s going to be in the mix!
Recent Form:
DATE | TOURNAMENT | FINISH | SCORES |
6/6 – 6/8 | LIV Golf Virginia | T4 | 66-69-65 (200) |
5/15 – 5/18 | PGA Championship | T2 | 71-68-69-70 (278) |
5/2 – 5/4 | LIV Golf Korea | 1st | 65-66-66 (197) |
4/25 – 4/27 | LIV Golf Mexico City | 2nd | 63-66-71 (200) |
4/10 – 4/13 | Masters | T5 | 69-68-69-75 (281) |
While matching Scheffler’s form is next to impossible right now, DeChambeau gives him a run for his money. DeChambeau has finished in the top 5 in six straight tournaments and the top 10 in seven consecutive assignments!
Five of those tournaments were LIV Golf events, but the competition is respectable in LIV now, and he showed up at the Masters and the PGA Championship. DeChambeau trailed only Scheffler in the PGA Championship and notched a top 5 performance at Augusta National.
Additionally, the two-time US Open winner picked up a win in the LIV Golf Korea tournament on May 4. If LIV golfers were awarded OWGR points, then DeChambeau would be right up there near the top. Aside from the majors, PGA fans haven’t been exposed to DeChambeau this year, but I assure you he’s in top form.
Bryson DeChambeau 2025 Stats:
STAT | VALUE | RANK |
Fairway Hit | 63.10% | 14th |
Greens in Regulation | 71.53% | 8th |
Scrambling | 68.29% | 1st |
Putting Average | 1.58 | T8 |
Driving Distance Avg. | 331.9 Yds | 1st |
DeChambeau’s booming driver has helped put him among the best golfers in the world right now. The SMU product is averaging 331.9 yards off the tee in an impressive display. DeChambeau leads LIV by far in driving and would be at the top of the PGA Tour if he were a full-time member.

Even more impressive, DeChambeau’s scrambling ability around the green has been second to none in LIV. If he gets himself into trouble, you can count on DeChambeau to get himself out of it with a brilliant save to the green. Additionally, the putter has treated him kindly enough heading into the US Open.
After winning the US Open in twice in the past five years, DeChambeau enters with a world of confidence on his side. At +700 odds, I think considering DeChambeau for your 2025 US Open picks is worthwhile.
Rory McIlroy (+1100)
If McIlroy goes the rest of the year without winning another tournament, he will probably be content. As the sixth player to complete the career Grand Slam, McIlroy waited years to win the Masters and finally got his green jacket in April in a playoff over Justin Rose.
Can McIlroy find that form again and get back on track? He hasn’t been in his best shape since winning the Masters, but discarding McIlroy could be dangerous. Let’s break down the details below.
Recent Form:
DATE | TOURNAMENT | FINISH | SCORES |
6/5 – 6/8 | Canadian Open | Missed Cut | 71-78 (149) |
5/15 – 5/18 | PGA Championship | T47 | 74-69-72-72 (287) |
5/8 – 5/11 | Truist Championship | T7 | 66-67-69-68 (270) |
4/10 – 4/13 | Masters | 1st | 72-66-66-73-3 (277) |
3/27 – 3/30 | Texas Children’s Houston Open | T5 | 70-66-65-64 (265) |
McIlroy was one of the hottest golfers on the PGA Tour, which reached an apex after winning the Masters! He was on a complete heater with three wins, also including the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and THE PLAYERS Championship.
He did it.

— PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) April 13, 2025
With wins in the Masters and THE PLAYERS, he’s already won two of the biggest events of the year. In any event, after finishing T7 in the Truist Championship, McIlroy has been well out of form.
The 36-year-old from Northern Ireland was non-competitive in the PGA Championship and then had an abysmal effort in the Canadian Open. McIlroy typically plays well in Canada as a fan favorite, though he couldn’t generate anything.
If McIlroy finds his swing, he’ll be fine, but his latest work leaves a lot to be desired.
Rory McIlroy 2025 Stats:
STAT | VALUE | RANK |
SG: Total | 1.974 | 2nd |
SG: Tee-to-Green | 1.347 | 3rd |
SG: Off-the-Tee | 0.776 | 1st |
SG: Approach to Green | 0.353 | 39th |
SG: Around-the-Green | 0.217 | 41st |
SG: Putting | 0.627 | 6th |
Driving Distance Avg. | 319.3 Yds | 3rd |
OWGR Ranking | 507.63 | 2nd |
McIlroy ranks second behind Sheffler in SG: Total. Despite the poor effort in the PGA Championship and missing the cut this past weekend, his numbers are still among the best on the PGA Tour.
He is top 5 in several key metrics, including SG: Tee-to-Green, SG: Off-the-Tee, and driving distance. If you look at McIlroy’s play before hitting this recent speed bump, it’s evident that these stats are indicative of how good he can be when playing at his best.
However, his game at the Canadian Open was all over the place. He couldn’t nail down any consistency in any aspect. That’s the concern with McIlroy heading into the US Open, but I expect him to put things together at Oakmont Country Club.
Enough to win? That’s questionable, but expect McIlroy to be in the mix and at least have a top 10 performance.
US Open 2025 Longshot Bets
In what should be a competitive tournament, it’s always a good idea to lock in longshot US Open 2025 picks. You can find my complete list of best US Open sleeper bets, or continue reading for my top two selections:
Justin Thomas (+3000)
Earlier this month, I placed a bet on Justin Thomas to win the US Open at +3500. Since then, Thomas’ US Open odds have improved to +3000, so money is coming in on the 32-year-old recently.
Thomas is still worth a look to win at +3000 odds. The 32-year-old Kentucky native has finished as the runner-up or won in three of his previous six events. He can be inconsistent, but when Thomas is on, the PGA veteran has the talent to strike.
Despite sitting in the shadow of other top players this year, Thomas ranks fourth in SG: Total, eighth in SG: Approach to Green, and 14th in putting! Thomas should be closer to +2000, so there is plenty of value as one of the best US Open golf betting picks.
Ben Griffin (+6000)
One of the largest gems to win the US Open has to be on Ben Griffin at +6000. He is one of the most confident players heading into Pennsylvania. The 29-year-old former mortgage broker finished as the runner-up in his latest tournament in the Memorial Tournament after winning the Charles Schwab Challenge!

Also, note that Griffin was in great form in the PGA Championship with a T8 performance. He gained a plethora of confidence and momentum from that outing, which carried over to his latest starts.
Hanging with the top players at the US Open is going to be difficult, but a small play at +6000 is worth a bet!
US Open 2025 Predictions and Betting Pick
Scheffler will be the most popular pick to win the US Open. He has been just about flawless, so I understand where the money is coming from.
Nevertheless, at +275, your money is better spent elsewhere. If, however, Scheffler’s price rises to +500 or greater in the live betting markets, then that’s when he may be worth adding.
For my pre-tournament PGA US Open prediction, I am riding with the two-time winner of this event. DeChambeau isn’t bothered in the least by going back to the PGA Tour and playing with his former peers.
In fact, DeChambeau thrives and plays more motivated when he returns for major tournaments. In a tournament that he loves to play in, expect DeChambeau to put in a big showing at Oakmont. He’s well worth considering as such a solid price of +700, so I recommend him for your top US Open 2025 winner pick!
