An injury-riddled Buccaneers team heads to Dallas to face the Cowboys and kick off Week 5. Tampa Bay will be without several starters, including QB Baker Mayfield (thumb) and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (ribs).

Injuries are not the only reason the 0-4 Bucs are 9.5-point underdogs this weekend. Dallas has one of the best offenses in the league and is coming off a major road win over the Houston Texans.

Dak Prescott is seventh in the NFL with 266.3 passing yards per game, and Dallas is averaging 30.5 PPG.

Jalon Daniels moved the ball well enough to help the Bucs to cover against the Packers on Sunday. He has a chance to do that again this week against a Cowboys defense allowing 150.3 rushing YPG and 28 PPG, so this one might be closer than the odds suggest.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

The Eagles (2-2) are another team riddled with injuries ahead of their matchup with the Jaguars (3-1) in London. Following Sunday’s loss to the Rams, Philly’s injury report includes, among others:

• • RB Saquon Barkley (hamstring)
  • OT Lane Johnson (retired)
  • CB Quinyon Mitchell (knee)
  • RB Tank Bigsby (IR – core muscle)
  • WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring)
  • G Landon Dickerson (IR- knee)

As a result, Philadelphia is an 8-point underdog against the Jaguars (-390 on the moneyline) this weekend. That is up from 5.5 points at the start of the week.

Jacksonville, which plays in London more than any other team, is 7-7 across the pond since 2013. They have been better than .500 with Trevor Lawrence under center, going 3-1 with the former first overall pick in their lineup.

Lawrence has eight passing TDs so far and has led the Jaguars to 26 PPG this year. The Jags’ defense has also done its part, limiting opponents to 74.3 rushing YPG, the second-fewest in the league.

With Barkley, Bigsby, and multiple OL on the injury report or now retired, the Eagles will not be able to run on a stout Jaguars’ defense. Lawrence and company should dominate a one-dimensional Philly offense.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Miami Dolphins Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Cincinnati (2-2) is a 6.5-point road favorite against the Dolphins (0-4) in Miami (+260) on Sunday. The Bengals lost at home last week, falling 22-17 against the Jaguars.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor said WR Ja’Marr Chase remains in concussion protocol, and Tee Higgins is now considered day-to day due to his adductor injury.

Miami is one of the worst teams in the league and has the worst point differential in the NFL at -55. That being said, they nearly beat the Vikings last week in a close 15-10 loss in Minnesota.

The Dolphins have a chance to contain Cincy’s normally explosive offense. WRs Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (adductor) both picked up injuries in Week 4. If either or both receivers miss this game, the Bengals’ offense will be severely limited.

Cincinnati’s defense, which has allowed 22+ points in three of its four games, is also a concern. Miami’s run-heavy approach should tax the Bengals’ defense in the Florida heat and allow the Dolphins to cover the 6.5-point spread.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. New England Patriots Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Las Vegas (3-1) lost a 30-27 thriller at home to the Chiefs in Week 4. The Raiders will attempt to bounce back against the Patriots (2-2) in Foxborough this weekend.

New England has been one of the least consistent teams in the NFL but is coming off a major win over the Bills in Buffalo. Drake Maye and the Pats are 3.5-point favorites against the visiting Raiders this weekend.

The Raiders beat the Pats in New England to start last season, but both teams have changed a lot since then. Las Vegas should not be overlooked, though, as Kirk Cousins is 11th in the NFL with 256.5 passing YPG. Cousins also has 11 passing TDs, and the Raiders are averaging 28.8 PPG, the eighth-most in the NFL.

New England CB Christian Gonzalez, their best defensive player, missed last week’s win with a shoulder injury. If he is out again, the Pats will struggle to contain TE Brock Bowers and open the door to a Raiders upset.

Cleveland Browns vs. New York Jets Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Cleveland (3-1) is the top team in the AFC North through four weeks. The Browns have extra time to prepare for this week’s matchup with the Jets after playing on TNF last week.

Despite the extra prep time, Cleveland is a 2.5-point underdog against the Jets (1-3) this weekend. New York won its first game of the season, but has lost three straight since, including their lone home game so far this season.

Cleveland is well positioned for another win this weekend if it can take advantage of New York’s issues stopping the run. The Jets are giving up 123.5 rushing YPG this year. RB Quinshon Judkins, who had a season-high 96 scrimmage yards last week, should have another big game and help the Browns pull off the upset this week.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Indianapolis took down an injury-riddled Washington team in London for its second consecutive win. The Colts can get above .500 this week with a matchup in Pittsburgh against an inconsistent Steelers’ team.

Pittsburgh (2-2) is coming off a loss to the Browns, but oddsmakers have the Steelers listed as 3-point favorites. The Steelers are undefeated at home this season. However, Pittsburgh’s run defense will face its toughest test of the year so far with Jonathan Taylor coming to town.

In 2025, the Steelers held Taylor to 45 yards on 14 carries. However, when they met in 2024, Taylor racked up 88 yards on 21 carries and helped the Colts earn 133 total yards on the ground.

Taylor and the Colts are at a major rest disadvantage. Not only did Indy play in London on Sunday, but the Steelers have extra rest time following their TNF appearance. The added rest should help Pittsburgh pick up the win this weekend.

Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Houston (0-4) and Tennessee (0-4) square off this week in a battle of winless AFC South teams. The Titans have home-field advantage, but are getting 7.5 points against the visiting Texans (-390).

CJ Stroud and the Texans’ offense looked better last week with the return of WR Nico Collins. Collins missed two games with a hamstring injury. He led the team with seven catches for 118 yards and two TDs in the 34-30 loss to Dallas.

Collins should have another productive day against a Titans’ defense allowing 13.36 yards per reception to WRs this season. Tennessee has also allowed 11 catches of 20+ yards in four games so far. Collins is averaging a career-high 12.9 average depth of target (ADOT) and has three catches of 20+ yards this season.

Tennessee has kept three of their four games within one score, and divisional matchups are usually close. Houston’s defense has also allowed 27.3 PPG this season. With that in mind, I expect the Texans to win, but I don’t like them to cover such a high line.

New York Giants vs. Washington Commanders Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

The Giants (3-1) can earn an important division win and stay atop the NFC East with a victory this week. New York is a 4-point road underdog against Washington (1-3) this weekend.

Washington is coming off a 30-12 loss to the Colts in London. The trip back across the pond could put the Commanders at a rest disadvantage for this divisional matchup. The G-Men, on the other hand, won 36-24 at home against the Cardinals on Sunday.

New York’s chances of pulling off the upset hinge on the Giants’ ability to run the ball. The Commanders have allowed only 93.5 rushing YPG, the sixth-fewest in the NFL. However, with Jameis Winston’s inconsistent play, the Giants have no choice but to lean heavily on their rushing attack, which has racked up 110.5 YPG.

Another variable to consider is the potential return of Jayden Daniels, who has been out since Week 2 with a dislocated elbow. If Daniels cannot go, then rookie Athan Kaliakmanis will likely be the starter.

Either QB could struggle against a Giants’ defense giving up just 205.3 passing yards and 19.8 PPG. A Daniels-led Commanders team can win, but New York should cover the 4-point spread.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Chicago improved to 3-1 last week with its 23-12 win over the Jets. The Bears look to improve to 3-0 without starting QB Caleb Williams as they head to Green Bay to face the Packers (2-2).

Green Bay is .500, but the Packers have a point differential of -32 and were embarrassed in their only home game so far this season, a TNF loss to Atlanta. They allowed 242 rushing yards in that loss.

The Packers have allowed 139.3 rushing YPG, the fourth-most in the NFL. Chicago, on the other hand, leads the league with 196.3 rushing YPG. With Williams sidelined at least another week, the Bears are likely to lean heavily on their rushing attack again.

Green Bay’s best bet for staying competitive is its passing attack. Jordan Love and company are averaging 249.3 YPG through the air. Unfortunately for Love, the Bears have allowed just 179.8 passing YPG, the third-fewest in the league, and should stymie the Packers this weekend for an important division win.

Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Denver (2-2) takes on the Chargers (0-4) in LA this weekend as both teams try to bounce back from a loss last week. LA is a 3.5-point home underdog and is listed at +160 to win its first game of the season.

Broncos’ CBs Patrick Surtain II (ankle) and Riley Moss (ribs) both exited last week’s loss with injuries. Surtain is out for this game, and if Moss also cannot go, then Denver’s defense could be significantly hindered this week.

Bo Nix will also be without one of his best weapons, WR Pat Bryant. The receiver was in the midst of a second-year breakout season but sprained his ankle and is out for this divisional matchup.

Denver’s offense has also struggled to start fast. The Broncos have just one TD and 13 total points in the first half of games this season. If the Chargers can take advantage of a weakened Broncos’ secondary, they could build a lead too big for Denver to overcome in the second half.

Detroit Lions vs. Arizona Cardinals Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Detroit’s offense stalled out in Sunday night’s loss in Carolina, dropping the Lions to 2-2 on the season. They are 5.5-point favorites to get back over .500 this weekend against the Cardinals (1-3) in Arizona.

The Cardinals have lost three straight games and have a -30 point differential, the third-worst in the NFC.

Jared Goff and the Lions, on the other hand, have an -8 point differential despite scoring 119 total points, the fifth-most in the league. The Lions’ defense has allowed 127 points (31.8 PPG), the most in the NFL. Arizona’s defense is not much better, giving up 29.3 PPG.

Detroit’s porous defense makes it challenging to trust the Lions to cover the 5.5-point spread.

Arizona rookie RB Jeremiyah Love suffered a high ankle sprain in the preseason that has limited him to start his pro career. Love suffered another ankle injury last week, potentially limiting him even more this week.

Even without a healthy Love, the Cardinals can cover the spread by leaning on TE Trey McBride and WR Michael Wilson against a Lions defense that allows a league-high 304 passing YPG.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Seattle (3-1) is a 3.5-point home favorite against San Francisco (4-0) in a pivotal early-season division matchup. The 49ers lead the NFL with a +58 point differential and have held teams to just 16 PPG, the third-fewest in the league.

Seattle’s defense has also been great, allowing 18.3 PPG, and has not lost at home since Week 5 of last season.

The Seahawks overcame Sam Darnold’s hip injury, but the former third overall pick has struggled since returning to action. Darnold threw two interceptions against the Commanders, including a game-losing pick-six. Against the Chargers, Darnold only completed 13 passes for 168 yards.

Seattle cannot beat the 49ers if Darnold continues to struggle this week. San Fran has held opponents to 308.8 YPG, the seventh-fewest in the league.

Brock Purdy and the 49ers’ offense have shredded opposing defenses this year, to the tune of 30.5 points and 389 total yards per game. If they exploit the same holes in Seattle’s defense that the Commanders did in Week 3, the 49ers can pull off the upset on Sunday.

Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Rams Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Week 5 concludes with a showdown between the Bills (3-1) and the Rams (2-2) at SoFi on Monday Night Football. The Rams are laying 3.5 points as home favorites in this potential Super Bowl preview.

Buffalo is coming off its first defeat of the season, a 29-26 home loss to the Patriots. LA, on the other hand, also played on the East Coast, but pulled off a double-digit comeback to beat the Eagles 24-20 in Philadelphia.

Josh Allen has had four turnovers in the last two weeks, including a costly interception to seal the Bills’ loss on Sunday. Allen has also fumbled in every game this season.

The Rams’ defense has only forced three turnovers this year, tied for the sixth-fewest in the league, and all three have been interceptions. But despite so few turnovers, the Rams’ defense has contained the run. LAR is allowing just 102 rushing YPG and holding QBs specifically to 3.44 YPC.

LA can take advantage of Allen’s recent turnover issues and secure an important home win over Buffalo on Monday night, but the Bills will cover the 3.5-points.

Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Minnesota (4-0) held off the winless Dolphins for a 15-10 win in Week 4. Now, the Vikings are 2.5-point favorites as they head to the Big Easy to face the Saints (1-3).

New Orleans is 1-3, but its offense has been one of the better units in the league. The Saints are ninth in total yards (367 YPG), fourth in passing (278.5 YPG), and 10th in scoring (26.3 PPG).

Their running game, however, has managed just 88.5 YPG, the sixth-fewest in the league. New Orleans’ lack of a rushing attack made it challenging to keep Atlanta’s pass rushers at bay in the Saints’ 45-24 loss on Monday night. It should be a similar story this weekend against Minnesota, which leads the NFL with 16 sacks.

The Vikings offense struggled without WR Justin Jefferson, who is questionable for this matchup. Minnesota could also be without two starting offensive linemen: G Donovan Jackson (meniscus) and OT Christian Darrisaw (concussion).

I like New Orleans’ chance to pull off the upset if Jefferson cannot go this week.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Atlanta Falcons Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Baltimore (3-1) pulled off a 24-18 win over the Titans, even though Lamar Jackson missed the second half. With Jackson’s availability uncertain, the Ravens are 3.5-point underdogs against the Falcons in Atlanta.

The Falcons were the worst offense in the NFL through the first two weeks, scoring a league-low 16 points. Since Michael Penix Jr. returned in Week 3, though, Atlanta has flipped the script. Their 80 total points are the most any team has scored in the last two games.

Bijan Robinson has benefited the most from Penix’s return, racking up 360 scrimmage yards and scoring four touchdowns over the last two weeks. It will be challenging to repeat those performances against a Ravens defense allowing just 100 rushing YPG.

The Ravens have allowed 3.9 YPC, though, and six rushing TDs this season.

If Jackson is out, then Baltimore will need to lean heavily on RB Derrick Henry. Like the Ravens, the Falcons also have a great run defense, giving up a league-low 48.3 rushing YPG. Shutting down King Henry will be key to the Falcons’ ability to win and cover this weekend, especially with Lamar Jackson out.
