As horse racing season starts to heat up, major online sportsbooks have released the 2026 Dubai World Cup odds. Dominant runner Forever Young is aiming to add another major victory to his impressive resume after faltering last year, but is there a dark horse lurking in the shadows ready to spoil the party?
In this guide, I’ll break down the latest odds to win, analyze the top favorites, and share my best Dubai World Cup predictions.
Dubai World Cup 2026 Winner Odds
The following Dubai World Cup betting odds are courtesy of BetOnline:
| HORSE | ODDS |
|---|---|
| Forever Young | -225 |
| Magnitude | +550 |
| Imperial Emperor | +700 |
| Meydaan | +800 |

| Tumbarumba | +1200 |

| Walk of Stars | +4000 |
Forever Young (-225) enters as a heavy favorite to win the 2026 Dubai World Cup at top horse racing betting sites. The five-year-old trained by Yoshito Yahagi is the superstar of the field, and the odds reflect that much in the futures market.
There is a sizable drop between Forever Young and the next closest contender in the Dubai World Cup betting market, Magnitude (+550). At +550, the second most likely winner according to the bookies has a 15.4% implied probability, while Forever Young sits at a commanding 63.6%.
That’s a significant gap between the top choice and the second favorite. It’s Forever Young in a class of his own, followed by a second tier that includes Magnitude, Imperial Emperor (+700), and Meydaan (+800). Imperial Emperor owns 12.5% implied odds, while Meydaan checks in at 11.1% as a live longshot.

As one of the richest horse races in the world, the event offers a staggering purse of US$12 million, with the full nine-race card boasting a total of US$30.5 million in prize money.
A field of nine horses will head to the starting gate, including Hit Show, who will be looking for back-to-back wins after cashing as a longshot in 2025.
Dubai World Cup 2026 Betting Favorites
Three favorites stand above the rest of the field in the Dubai World Cup in 2026. Let’s break down each of these wonderful horses and their team before delving into our best Dubai World Cup picks:
Forever Young (-225)
After suffering a stunning upset last year, Forever Young is back at the Dubai World Cup looking to claim the crown finally. Sent off as a -175 favorite in 2025, he had to settle for third after a tight finish, crossing the wire 1 ½ lengths behind Hit Show.
That narrow defeat has been the lone blemish on an otherwise remarkable run of form.
Coming into the 2025 Dubai World Cup, Forever Young was riding back-to-back wins, including a statement victory in the $20 million Saudi Cup (G1). Since December 2024, his only loss is that third-place effort in Dubai. After finishing on the board on April 5, he regrouped and has not lost since.
Forever Young has now reeled off three consecutive wins, a streak highlighted by a trip stateside for the prestigious Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1). He captured the $7 million race, the richest prize in North American horse racing, digging in gamely to hold off Sierra Leone by a half-length in the stretch.
He followed that success with an encore performance back in Riyadh, returning to the Saudi Cup (G1) for the second time in his career. Once again, he rose to the occasion, securing another massive payday and banking $10 million from the $20 million purse in February.

With two Saudi Cup titles and a Breeders’ Cup Classic victory on his resume, Forever Young’s career earnings are now approaching the $30 million mark. Overall, he’s won 11 of 14 starts since debuting in 2023, an elite strike rate at the highest level of the sport.
Given that portfolio, there’s every reason to believe Yahagi will have Forever Young primed for redemption after failing to secure the win in last year’s Dubai World Cup. He has already conquered nearly every major target in front of him. The Dubai World Cup is the one glaring omission, and 2026 looks like the year he may finally fill that gap.
Magnitude (+550)
If there’s going to be an upset in the Dubai World Cup, the odds suggest Magnitude is the most likely spoiler. The Kentucky-bred colt ships overseas with solid momentum, but the key question is whether he can truly threaten powerhouse favorite Forever Young.
Magnitude enters off back-to-back wins in the $500,000 Clark Stakes (G2) and $500,000 Razorback Handicap (G3). While neither spot represented the deepest Grade 2 or Grade 3 fields, he does bring legitimate top-level experience to the table.
In August 2025, Magnitude finished 3rd in the Travers Stakes (G1) in what turned out to be one of the slowest races of his career. He earned only an 88-speed figure in a paceless affair. If he had been closer to his current form that day, he might have at least made Sovereignty work harder for the win.
Since that effort, Magnitude has taken a clear step forward, posting figures of 111, 109, and 110, the latest coming in the Razorback Handicap on February 28, 2026. Led by veteran Jose Ortiz, he dominated that field as the favorite, drawing off to win by 3 ¾ lengths with something left.

Steven Asmussen’s colt appears to be peaking at the right time, and on paper he has the profile of a live outsider. Can he go with Forever Young late? It’s certainly possible if he brings his absolute best.
From a betting standpoint, though, the current price feels a bit too short. At +550, there isn’t enough value for me to back Magnitude in my Dubai World Cup picks. I’d need a more generous number on the tote board before considering him as a serious wager against a star like Forever Young for my Dubai World Cup 2026 predictions.
Imperial Emperor (+700)
Ireland’s Imperial Emperor steps up in class after a strong Dubai campaign and will have the advantage of racing on his home track at Meydan Racecourse. Since transferring from the UK to the Middle East in January 2024, he has made nine consecutive appearances at Meydan, so the surroundings are as familiar as they come.
That familiarity could be crucial in the Dubai World Cup. While others ship in and adjust, Imperial Emperor stays put, bringing both comfort with the surface and a wave of positive momentum into the race.
The Bhupat Seemar-trained gelding has been in outstanding form, winning back-to-back races in the Al Maktoum Mile (G1) and $1 million Al Maktoum Challenge (G2). He has finished first or second in six of his last seven starts, with five victories in that span. In total, he has recorded seven wins from 13 career outings as he heads into the biggest test of his four-year-old season.
Nice, IMPERIAL EMPEROR! 👌

That’s where the doubts begin. Despite his impressive recent record, he has yet to face a field of this depth or perform on a global stage of this magnitude. The $300,000 purchase has justified his price tag so far, but there is still a question of whether he can rise to this level.
From a betting perspective, though, Imperial Emperor offers more appeal at +700 than Magnitude. He’s in winning form, clearly loves Meydan, and there’s every chance that confidence translates to another big run in the Dubai World Cup. Even so, toppling Forever Young remains a formidable challenge.
Top Sleepers for the Dubai World Cup 2026
It’s important to include a couple of dark horses on your card to win the Dubai World Cup! Let’s break down the top sleeper 2026 Dubai World Cup picks below:
Dubai World Cup 2026 Predictions and Betting Pick
The Dubai World Cup features one horse head and shoulders above the rest. If Forever Young is Forever Young looks primed to add another major trophy to his resume in the 2026 Dubai World Cup. He didn’t break as sharply as expected last year, but against this eight‑horse field he shouldn’t face many obstacles if he gets anything close to a clean start.
Based on the latest futures odds, Magnitude shapes up as his main danger. Still, Magnitude looks more like a +700 contender, while Forever Young appears to be in a class of his own. After last year’s disappointment, I’m confident Yahagi will have him fully cranked and ready to fire on Saturday.
Yes, -225 on the morning line isn’t the most attractive number at first glance, but consider where he’s likely to close. I wouldn’t be shocked if Forever Young is bet down to 1/5 in the pari‑mutuel pools by post time. More realistically, he probably lands around 2/5, with a flood of public money backing him to win.
With that in mind, I still see ample value at -225, and Forever Young is my top pick to win the 2026 Dubai World Cup.
