The pop superstar has been among the top Coachella 2027 headliner rumors for the last two years. In 2024, it was reported by Variety that Lipa rejected an offer to perform at Coachella due to timing issues. Lipa never acknowledged the report, and she’s been relatively mum about headlining the event.

Having already checked off bucket-list slots at major global festivals like Glastonbury, Lipa has proven she possesses the production capability and deep catalog required to close out the Empire Polo Club.

With her massive stadium run wrapped up and her scheduling conflicts in the past, the logistical hurdles that previously kept her out of the desert are resolved. If Goldenvoice is looking for a lock to lead the pop side of the 2027 bill, Lipa stands out as the most logical option on the market.

That being said, she has been in this position before. Her fans have been discussing Lipa as the main headliner for a while and have come up disappointed. It’s only a matter of time then, right?

Although it’s a distinct possibility, including the fact that she doesn’t have a tour planned in 2027, so her schedule is open right now, laying -250 odds doesn’t appear like the best option on the board. I identify another act that offers better value and is likely a more profitable headliner for organizers.

Sitting as the second favorite on early boards at +175, Radiohead presents a massive temptation for bettors looking to back an iconic rock headliner. On paper, the stars are aligning for a potential run.

After ending a seven-year performance hiatus with a limited European tour, guitarist Ed O’Brien confirmed the band plans to hit the road again in 2027 with a structured global schedule. Add in the band’s ongoing relationship with Goldenvoice, which included launching a custom KID A MNESIA art bunker in the desert, and a third headlining trip to Indio seems entirely plausible.

However, despite the short odds, laying money on Radiohead to headline Coachella feels like a trap.

While they have the catalog and pedigree, their 2017 headlining set was famously plagued by major sound system dropouts, leaving a sour taste for both the band and casual festivalgoers.

More importantly, Goldenvoice’s booking strategy has shifted drastically toward pop, hip-hop, and global acts. Radiohead could easily anchor a North American tour in 2027 by playing multi-night standalone residencies, just as they did in Europe, without needing to compromise their set for a younger, trend-driven festival crowd.

Sitting tied for the second-lowest odds at +175, BTS represents one of the most intriguing bets on the entire board. Having fully reunited following the completion of their mandatory military service, the K-pop titans are currently commanding massive global attention on their ongoing Arirang World Tour.

Historically, Goldenvoice has embraced K-pop on the main stage, most notably with BLACKPINK’s landmark headlining slot, and booking BTS would guarantee instant sellouts and unprecedented global streaming numbers. The “BTS ARMY” would be camping out for days ahead of their performance.

But is there an opening in their schedule to headline one of the two weekends?

Yes. The band’s massive stadium itinerary leaves a clear opening for an April appearance in Indio. The current leg of their Arirang World Tour wraps up its Asian stadium dates in mid-March 2027 in Bulacan, Philippines.

The schedule is completely open starting in late March and running through all of April, leaving a perfect month-long gap right during Coachella. While scheduling isn’t an issue, the primary hurdle is production setup.

BTS’s tour relies heavily on custom, complex stage designs that don’t always translate easily to shared festival main stages. At +175, the odds are slightly short given those logistical trade-offs, but the April schedule gap makes them a very real threat to close out the weekend.

Goldenvoice is highly likely to inquire to BTS management about a potential stop at Coachella. With a potential monster payday on the horizon, it could be tough to reject the offer. So, BTS ranks as one of the best Coachella 2027 headliner predictions.
