TEAMODDS
Miami 305+325
Los Angeles Riot+400
Detroit Amps+500
Dallas Power+600
Houston Rig Hands+800
Chicago Triplets+800
DMV Trilogy+1400
Boston Ball Hogs+1400

In a competitive field for the Big3 title in 2025, the Miami 305 (+325) are favorites to win the Julius Erving Championship Trophy. As a +325 betting favorite at the top online basketball sportsbooks, Miami has a 23.5% implied probability to win the title in their inaugural season.

The Los Angeles Riot (+400), who are also in their first season in the Big3, have the second-shortest odds to win. They’re right on the 305’s heels, with a 20% implied price to oust Miami and the rest of the league.

The Detroit Amps (+500) and Dallas Power (+600) are within striking distance of the top spot as well. So, the Big3 2025 odds suggest that there is a wide-open race for the eighth championship in league history.

Big3 Championship 2025 Favorites

While it’s expected to be a competitive season between all eight franchises, three squads come through as having the best chance to win the Julius Erving Championship Trophy.

Let’s flush out all the details to identify the best Big3 bets on the board for this season:

Miami 305 (+325)

    • Head Coach: Michael Cooper
    • Impact Players: Mario Chalmers, Michael Beasley, Lance Stephenson
    • Big3 Championships: 0

In their first season in the Big3, the Miami 305 front office signed some recognizable names to get started. The 305’s core includes former NBA players, including the Miami Heat’s Mario Chalmers and Michael Beasley.

Beasley recorded a career-high 19.2 points per game in 2010-11 with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In 11 seasons in the NBA, Beasley scored an average of 12.4 points on 46.5% shooting and 4.7 rebounds per game.

He had the potential to be so much more, but mental health challenges held Beasley back from his full potential. He is only 36 years old, which for the Big3 is a youngster by all accounts.

There is no pressure on Beasley in the Big 3, so I think he’s going to excel alongside his former Heat teammate. In the season opener against the LA Riot, Beasley was the most dominant force on the floor. He netted 21 points and nine rebounds to down a quality Riot squad.

Stephenson was in the NBA as recently as 2021-22 with the Atlanta Hawks. The former Pacer is another talent who had more potential than what his career suggests. He was a focal point of the Pacers’ squad in 2013-14 but was unable to stay on pace.

Nevertheless, Stephenson is still only 34 years old, and combined with Beasley, they are the best 1-2 duo in the Big3 Tournament. The 305’s 50-44 win over the Riot in the opener was a statement, and I expect them to stay on course. In short, the 305 are one of the best Big3 betting picks in 2025!

Los Angeles Riot (+400)

    • Head Coach: Nick Young
    • Impact Players: Jordan Crawford, Dwight Howard, Elijah Stewart
    • Big3 Championships: 0

In his fourth year in the Big3, Jordan Crawford is one of the veterans in Ice Cube’s league. In 2023, Crawford scored the most points in the tournament with 154. He and Elijah Stewart were two of the most important combos in the Big3, but the Enemies fell short in a 6-2 season.

It was a solid year for Crawford and Stewart, though, as one of the favorites to win last season, the Enemies came short of their goal. Now, Crawford and Stewart are in Los Angeles, teamed up with former NBA star Dwight Howard.

After exiting the NBA in 2022, Howard spent time playing basketball in Taiwan. He’s back home in the US and looking for success in the Big3. 3×3 basketball is for players with quick, lateral movement and who can shoot the ball. Howard is none of these, so I don’t know if we’re going to see him dominate the league.

He’ll have his moments, but as we saw in the season opener, Howard was too slow to defend Beasley. The real catalyst for the Riot has to be Crawford, who is the veteran and knows his way around the floor on a 3×3 court. That said, he needs some help, and I don’t know if it’s going to be enough.

In any event, the Big3 Championship 2025 odds suggest that the Riot are going to be one of the top contenders throughout this season.

Detroit Amps (+500)

    • Head Coach: George Gervin
    • Impact Players: Joe Johnson, Ray Nixon, Jeremy Pargo
    • Big3 Championships: 0

The Detroit Amps have one of the legends of the Big3 in their first season in the league. Joe Johnson joined the Amps for his fourth year in the 3×3 competition. The former Atlanta Hawks’ sharpshooter led the Big 3 in scoring with 22.8 points per game in 2021.

Two years later, in 2023, Johnson ranked fourth with 19 points per game. He put in another strong effort a season ago, with 15.8 points per game for seventh in the Big3. Additionally, Jeremy Pargo finished with 18.3 points per game to finish in the top 5.

Despite Johnson’s success playing 3×3 basketball, he’s 43 years old now and has lost a step since leading the league in scoring in 2021. For the Amps to have success, they need Johnson to be at his best. I don’t know if we’re going to see it this season, at least not consistently.

The 305 are too young and fast on their feet for Johnson at this stage of his career. His dangerous presence opened up the floor for Pargo last year, but it won’t be the same if he is a step behind this season.

In review, the Amps are a touch too one-dimensional. Relying on a 43-year-old Johnson, while the rest of the teams are getting younger, isn’t a winning strategy. I’m tossing out the Amps for my 2025 Big3 Championship predictions!

Best Big3 Championship Sleepers

There are strong Big3 Championship odds on the board for a couple of teams this season. Let’s dive into the best longshot Big3 picks for the 2025 campaign:

1. Houston Rig Hands (+800)

The Houston Rig Hands are off to a quick start with a 50-46 win over the DMV Trilogy. Corey Brewer had a huge showing with 17 points and 12 rebounds in the win for the Rig Hands.

The former LA Laker fits in well alongside Jaylen Johnson, who is coming off a solid season in the G League with the Motor City Cruise. Johnson averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game in 2022-23 in the G League.

He’s found a new home in the Big3, and at 28 years old, the 6’9” forward is one of the younger players. Look for Brewer and Johnson to put the Rig Hands in a solid position to compete this year. At +800 odds, they are worth a look for your Big3 Championship picks!

2. Chicago Triplets (+800)

Amir Johnson’s NBA career ended in 2019, but he’s still etching out a career in 3-on-3 basketball. The 38-year-old Johnson has been in the Big3 since 2021 and has collected two titles with the Trilogy.

The 6’9” forward still has some athleticism left and has a huge wingspan to clog up passing lanes. Johnson is joined by a solid core that includes former NBA center Montrezl Harrell. I’d also keep an eye on guard Nasir Core as a solid contributor for the Triplets.

At +800 odds, Johnson and the Triplets are worth considering for a longshot bet to win the championship.

Big3 Championship 2025 Predictions and Betting Pick

The 2025 Big3 season should be tightly contested between the top contenders. When it comes down to it, the Miami 305 are the team to beat for the Julius Erving Championship.

Beasley and Chalmers on the same team will prove to be an unstoppable combination in the Big3. Add Stephenson, and this is without a doubt the most well-balanced and talented team in the league right now.

There are many teams in the Big3 too dependent on one or two players. But when it comes to the 305, they should manage to get production from all three players on the floor. If one has an off day, that’s fine because there is enough depth for the 305 to win games.

The way I see it, the Miami 305 should have a shorter price to win the title than +325. I have them as a +250 favorite, so there is solid value as the best Big3 Championship pick!
