I expect Mendoza to shine on the big stage in his hometown of Miami. He’s been incredibly accurate in the red zone throughout his career, which will help him here.
The Hurricanes’ defense should offer plenty of resistance, but not enough to keep Fernando Mendoza out of the end zone.
Overall, the quarterback has piled up 3,349 passing yards with 41 touchdowns and just nine interceptions, completing 73% of his attempts. He’s thrown at least two touchdown passes in four of his last five starts, racking up 15 scores through the air over that stretch.
On the biggest stage of his career, Mendoza is well-positioned to eclipse 1.5 touchdown passes. That makes the over on his passing-touchdowns prop one of the most appealing 2026 CFP National Championship player prop bets on the board.

These numbers didn’t come against weak defenses, either. He beat Ohio State for 126 yards in the Big Ten Championship in a monster performance to help lead the Hoosiers to a 13-10 victory. This receiving total looks about 10 yards too short, so I recommend the over at 49.5 yards!

Indiana WR Elijah Sarratt has an inflated receptions prop at 4.5 catches. Sarratt is the leading wide out for the Hoosiers, but he isn’t a reception machine by any means. While Sarratt hauled in seven receptions in his last outing, he hasn’t caught five or more receptions in five of the last six games.
Mendoza likes to work the ball around and use a well-balanced offense to move the football. Whether that’s on the ground or to a variety of targets, there’s no single star playmaker. Sarratt has the talent to be that player, but there are a lot of mouths for Mendoza to feed.
Sarratt could reach five receptions, but I think Mendoza will work the ball around to keep a quality Miami defense off balance. In short, under 4.5 receptions looks like the right side as one of the best Miami vs. Indiana player prop bets.

For the season, Fletcher has scored 10 rushing touchdowns and added two more as a receiver. Over his last five games, he’s found the end zone three times, including two scores through the air. With his NFL stock underwhelming last year, Beck viewed Miami as an opportunity for redemption. He’s capitalized on it, and a strong performance at home in Hard Rock Stadium feels well within reach.
While asking him to throw for 300 yards and shred one of the best defenses in college football may be ambitious, expecting at least 200 passing yards against the Hoosiers is far more realistic.
Beck enters the title game with 3,581 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, and he’s thrown for 247 or more yards in six of his last eight games.
