Daily WNBA Picks for June 17
WNBA BETTING PICK | ONLINE BOOKMAKER |
---|---|
Connecticut Sun vs. Indiana Fever (OVER 164.0) (-115) | Bovada |
Golden State Valkyries (+3.0) vs. Dallas Wings (-115) | Bovada |
Connecticut Sun vs. Indiana Fever (OVER 164.0)
Indiana (5-5) kicks off a six-game slate in the WNBA tonight against Connecticut (2-8), whose 88.2 points per game allowed is second-worst only to Dallas’ 88.5 points. The Sun also have the worst defensive rating in the league at 112.2. That’s not good news as they visit the Fever, who got Caitlin Clark back over the weekend.
Caitlin Clark returned to the lineup and dropped 32 points (7 3PM), 9 assists & 8 rebounds & Kelsey Mitchell added 22 points as we handed the Liberty their first loss of the season and improved to 3-1 in Commissioner’s Cup play with a 102-88 win at @GainbridgeFH yesterday 🔥… pic.twitter.com/4x4dMlc6dv

After missing five games with a quad injury, Clark exploded on Saturday for 32 points and nine assists in a 102-88 win, handing New York their first loss. The Fever shot 48.1% from the floor and went 17-of-35 from three-point land against the best defense in the league.
The Fever and Sun met May 30 in Indiana, and the two combined for 168 points in an 85-83 upset win for Connecticut. With Tuesday’s WNBA online betting total of 164.0 at Bovada, I think they hit that mark again. Let’s take the OVER between Indiana and Connecticut tonight at -115!
Golden State Valkyries (+3.0) vs. Dallas Wings
The Valkyries (5-5) are underdogs on the road against the Wings (1-11), and as I noted above, Dallas is an awful defensive team. They’re 11th in defensive rating, and dead last in points allowed per game.
A tough early-season schedule might have something to do with. The Wings’ 12 games played are tied with Los Angeles and Phoenix for the most in the WNBA so far.
When we said KT physically couldn’t stop getting double-doubles, we meant it.#VotetheValks → https://t.co/WZuW5XvBec pic.twitter.com/2IlvNnKR4t

They’re hosting a Golden State team on a three-game winning streak, and Kayla Thornton is on a tear. The forward has three straight double-doubles, averaging 20.7 points and 11.3 boards over that time! The expansion Valkyries are also a good defensive team, ranking sixth in defensive rating.
I think getting Golden State plus points on Tuesday night is a steal! The Wings can hang offensively, but they can’t stop a nose bleed on defense. Give me the Valkyries at +3.0 points at -115 tonight!
