AFC Division Winners Odds

Let’s take a closer look at the NFL division winner odds for the AFC.

AFC North Division Odds

Team Division Odds 2024 Finish
Baltimore Ravens -160 1st
Cincinnati Bengals +265 3rd
Pittsburgh Steelers +425 2nd
Cleveland Browns +3300 4th

Baltimore overcame a slow start in 2024 to defend its AFC North crown. The Ravens are -160 favorites to win the division for the third consecutive year.

Cincinnati has the next-best odds at +265, followed by the Steelers at +425. Pittsburgh made the playoffs last year but lost its chance at a divisional crown after dropping four straight games to end the regular season. Cleveland rounds out the divisional odds as a distant fourth at +3300 odds.

AFC East Division Odds

Team Division Odds 2024 Finish
Buffalo Bills -350 1st
New England Patriots +575 4th
Miami Dolphins +700 2nd
New York Jets +2000 3rd

Buffalo is the heaviest favorite in the preseason 2025-26 NFL division odds. The Bills are listed at -350 to win their sixth consecutive division title.

The Patriots are a distant second at +575 odds. New England finished last in the division last season, but expectations are high entering year two of the Drake Maye experience. Miami is listed at +700, and the Jets round out the division at 20-1 odds.

AFC South Division Odds

Team Division Odds 2024 Finish
Houston Texans -115 1st
Jacksonville Jaguars +300 3rd
Indianapolis Colts +340 2nd
Tennessee Titans +950 4th

The Texans are also favored to repeat as division champs at -115. Houston is available at -115 to win its third division title in three years with CJ Stroud at quarterback.

Jacksonville and Indianapolis are in a close battle for second place at +300 and +340, respectively. Tennessee and first overall pick Cam Ward have the lowest chances to win the AFC South at +950 in the latest division odds at NFL site

AFC West Division Odds

Team Division Odds 2024 Finish
Kansas City Chiefs -130 1st
Denver Broncos +275 3rd
Los Angeles Chargers +325 2nd
Las Vegas Raiders +1600 4th

The Chiefs are -130 favorites to win their 10th straight AFC West division title. If they win the West again, Kansas City would be one short of the all-time record. Tom Brady’s Patriots set the record with 11 consecutive division wins from 2009 to 2019.

Denver has the shortest odds to upset the Chiefs for the divisional title at +275. The Los Angeles Chargers are close third at +325. Las Vegas, which is now partially owned by Brady, has the longest odds at 16-1.

NFC Division Winners Odds

Unlike the AFC, only two teams in the NFC are odds-on favorites to repeat as champions in the latest 2025-26 NFL division winner odds.

NFC North Division Odds

Team Division Odds 2024 Finish
Detroit Lions +135 1st
Green Bay Packers +250 3rd
Minnesota Vikings +325 2nd
Chicago Bears +525 4th

The NFC North is arguably the toughest division in the NFL, so it is only fitting that no team has an implied win probability over 50%. Detroit, which won the North last year, has the best odds at +135. The Lions’ odds offer an implied win probability of 42.55%.

Green Bay and Minnesota, which both made the playoffs last year, are listed at +250 and +325, respectively. Chicago has the lowest chances at +525 odds.

NFC East Division Odds

Team Division Odds 2024 Finish
Philadelphia Eagles -160 1st
Washington Commanders +230 2nd
Dallas Cowboys +575 3rd
New York Giants +2200 4th

The NFC East has not had a repeat champion in two decades, but the defending champion Eagles are -160 favorites to end that streak.

Washington has the second-best odds to win the NFC East at +230. The Commanders made it to the NFC Championship Game last year and split their regular-season series with Philly. Dallas is third at +575 odds, with the Giants rounding out the division at 22-1.

NFC South Division Odds

Team Division Odds 2024 Finish
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -110 1st
Atlanta Falcons +205 2nd
Carolina Panthers +425 4th
New Orleans Saints +1500 3rd

Tampa Bay is also an odds-on favorite to successfully defend its division crown. The Buccaneers are listed at -110 to win the NFC South for the fifth consecutive season.

Atlanta has the best odds to upset the Bucs for the division at +205. Carolina (+425) and New Orleans (+1500) are both long shots in the latest NFC South Division odds. If the Panthers win, it would be their first divisional title since their 15-1 season in 2015.

NFC West Division Odds

Team Division Odds 2024 Finish
San Francisco 49ers +160 4th
Los Angeles Rams +175 1st
Arizona Cardinals +450 3rd
Seattle Seahawks +475 2nd

The 49ers are the only team favored to go from worst to first this season. Despite finishing last in the NFC West last year, San Francisco is listed at +160 odds to win the division. They have the longest odds of any division favorite.

Los Angeles is a close second at +175 odds to win the NFC West. Arizona (+450) and Seattle (+475) round out the latest division winner odds.

AFC Division Favorites

Every AFC division winner from last season is favored to repeat as champion this year. However, defending a division crown is easier said than done.

AFC North Favorites

    • Baltimore Ravens (-160)
    • Cincinnati Bengals (+265)

Cleveland is Cleveland, and the Steelers are pinning their playoff hopes to a washed-up 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers. So, the AFC North will come down to Baltimore and Cincinnati.

The Ravens have a better defense, a functioning offensive line, and a great run game. So, it is not surprising that Baltimore is the -160 favorite. However, despite their flaws, the Bengals still almost made the playoffs last year and offer a lot of value at +265.

AFC East Favorites

    • Buffalo Bills (-350)

The only true contender for the AFC East title is the Buffalo Bills. Reigning MVP Josh Allen is far and away the best quarterback in the division. Buffalo also has the best defense in the division, as well as a nearly insurmountable home-field advantage.

AFC South Favorites

    • Houston Texans (-115)
    • Jacksonville Jaguars (+300)
    • Indianapolis Colts (+340)

The Texans have won the AFC South every year of CJ Stroud’s career, and they are -115 favorites to claim the divisional title again this season. Jacksonville (+300) and Indianapolis (+340) are in a close battle for the second-best odds to win the AFC South.

Houston was nearly derailed by injuries last season. The Texans have already been hit with injuries this year, which could open the door for the Jags or Colts to dethrone them.

AFC West Favorites

    • Kansas City Chiefs (-130)
    • Denver Broncos (+275)

Speaking of close divisional races, three of the four teams from the AFC West made the playoffs last year. KC is the -130 favorite to win the division again. However, Denver is not far behind at +275.

Kansas City has a near-perfect record against divisional opponents with Patrick Mahomes as its starting quarterback. On the other hand, the Chiefs face a tough schedule, and the Broncos are a team on the rise.

NFC Division Favorites

Three of the four division winners from last year’s NFC are also favored to repeat. However, only two defending champions are odds-on favorites to defend their titles.

NFC North Favorites

    • Detroit Lions (+135)
    • Green Bay Packers (+250)

Like the AFC West, three teams from the NFC North made the playoffs last season. Detroit’s 15-2 record just edged out Minnesota (14-3) for the division crown. The Lions are +135 to win the NFC North for the third consecutive year.

Green Bay are second in the current division winner odds at +250. Detroit is attempting to replace both coordinators, which is easier said than done. Green Bay, conversely, needs a receiver to step up to replace the injured Christian Watson. If they can find a WR1, and Jordan Love stays healthy, the Packers could dethrone the Lions.

NFC East Favorites

    • Philadelphia Eagles (-160)
    • Washington Commanders (+230)

Philadelphia is coming off a dominant win over the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, but now they face an even tougher test: repeating as NFC East champions. The East has not seen a back-to-back champion in over 20 years.

Philly is listed at -160 to win the division again. The only real competition preventing another Eagles’ division title is the Commanders, who are available at +230 odds. Washington split their regular-season series with Philadelphia last year, and expectations are high for second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels.

NFC South Favorites

    • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-110)
    • Atlanta Falcons (+205)

Atlanta swept Tampa Bay last season, but the Buccaneers got the last laugh by winning the division. It was Tampa’s fourth straight division title win, and they are listed at -110 to win the division again this year.

The Falcons, on the other hand, started 6-3 but fell apart in the second half of the season, finishing 8-9 and missing the playoffs. Atlanta made a change at quarterback, and second-year QB Michael Penix Jr. will attempt to win the Falcons their first division title since 2016.

NFC West Favorites

    • San Francisco 49ers (+160)
    • Los Angeles Rams (+175)

The NFC West has the closest battle for the top spot of any division. San Francisco is the betting favorite at +160, but LA is hot on their heels at +175. The 49ers and Rams have implied win probabilities of 38.46% and 36.36%, respectively.

LA won the division last year after a dismal 2-4 start. However, Matt Stafford’s back injury could derail their season before it starts.

San Francisco finished dead last in the division a year ago, due in large part to injuries to multiple offensive stars. Some of those starters, such as Brandon Aiyuk, are still recovering. Others were traded in the offseason, putting more pressure on quarterback Brock Purdy.

NFL Division Sleepers

Six of the eight division winners last year were repeat champions. However, that is unlikely to happen again. Here are my top sleepers to watch this year in divisional races.

AFC Division Sleepers

    • Miami Dolphins (+700)
    • Los Angeles Chargers (+340)

My two sleepers in the AFC are Miami (+700) and Los Angeles (+340).

The Dolphins were undercut by injuries last season, and Tua Tagovailoa struggles in the cold. However, if Miami can start hot and Josh Allen stumbles, the Dolphins are the best bet to steal the division title. A strong start would also help Mike McDaniel avoid being the first coach fired in 2025.

Los Angeles, on the other hand, finished fifth in the AFC last season but has the second-longest odds to win the AFC West. Kansas City is unlikely to win 15 games again, and the Chargers have a chance to earn an early half-game advantage over KC if they can beat them in Week 1.

NFC Division Sleepers

    • Chicago Bears (+525)
    • Seattle Seahawks (+475)

In the NFC, the Bears (+525) and Seahawks (+475) are the top divisional winner sleeper bets.

Chicago has the longest odds to win the North, but the teams ahead of them all have unique challenges. Detroit lost both its coordinators, Minnesota is transitioning to a new QB, and Green Bay does not have a WR1.

Seattle also has the lowest odds of winning its division at +475. The Seahawks revamped their offense, swapping Geno Smith and DK Metcalf for Sam Darnold and Cooper Kupp. San Francisco and LA are already dealing with injuries, giving Seattle a prime opportunity to win the NFC West.

2025-26 NFL Division Winner Predictions and Best Bets

Here are my official NFL division winner picks for the 2025-26 season.

AFC North Winner Prediction

The Cincinnati Bengals’ defense is bad, but they still finished 9-7 last year, missing the playoffs by just half a game. If they can get Trey Henderickson signed to a new deal, then he and rookie Shemar Stewart should make a formidable pass-rushing duo. Improving from one of the worst defenses to just an average unit would be enough to propel the Bengals to the winners of the AFC North.

The Bet
Cincinnati Bengals
+265

AFC East Winner Prediction

Buffalo has been one of the safest division winner bets in the NFL during the Josh Allen era. Barring an injury to the reigning MVP, the Bills will continue their streak of winning AFC East division titles.

The Bet
Buffalo Bills
-350

AFC South Winner Prediction

Houston has won the AFC South with a 9-  record in back-to-back years. As good as CJ Stroud is, the team struggled down the stretch last year.

If Jacksonville can get to double-digit wins, they should also take back the division crown from the Texans. The Jaguars have a new head coach and a unique weapon in two-way star Travis Hunter. Breakout star Brian Thomas Jr. set the league on fire as a rookie and should be even better in year two.

The Bet
Jacksonville Jaguars
+300

AFC West Winner Prediction

As with the Bills, Kansas City has dominated its division in recent years. The Chiefs have the longest active division-winning streak at nine years. Also, after a blowout loss in the Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes and company have plenty to prove this season.

Denver and LA took steps forward last year, but KC will hold onto the division crown for at least one more season.

The Bet
Kansas City Chiefs
-130

NFC North Winner Prediction

Starting my NFL predictions in the NFC is the North Division. The Lions are all but guaranteed to take a step back this season after going 15-2  a year ago. On top of battling history, Detroit is facing the monumental task of replacing two top-notch coordinators at the same time.

Minnesota is also likely to fall off after a 14-3 season in 2024. With the Lions and the Vikings out of the way, the path will be clear for the Packers to win the NFC North.

The Bet
Green Bay Packers
+250

NFC East Winner Prediction

Philadelphia is coming off a dominating performance in 2024, but history has not been kind to NFC East winners over the last 20 years. It will be nearly impossible for Philly to repeat, let alone improve on, their performance from last year.

The Eagles are much more likely to take a step back, especially after losing veteran leadership on defense this offseason.

Washington is ready to fill the void left by the Eagles at the top of the division. Jayden Daniels will be an MVP candidate if he can improve on his Rookie of the Year campaign from last season. Daniels’ ability to avoid the sophomore slump will be crucial for the Commanders to win the division.

The Bet
Washington Commanders
+230

NFC South Winner Prediction

Speaking of upsets, I think the Falcons (+205) will end the Buccaneers’ division-winning streak. Atlanta was close last year, but Kirk Cousins could not hold up down the stretch.

Now the Falcons are starting Michael Penix Jr. The second-year quarterback could be the key to many of Atlanta’s offensive stars, including Drake London and Kyle Pitts, finally living up to their potential in the NFL.

The Bet
Atlanta Falcons
+205

NFC West Winner Prediction

Rounding out 2025-26 NFL division winner bets is the NFC West. San Francisco and LA are jockeying for position at the top of the odds boards. However, both teams are already battling injuries, and the season has not even started.

Seattle (+475), conversely, has flown under the radar despite making significant offensive changes. If Sam Darnold can be even 80% of what he was last season, when he helped lead the Vikings to 14 wins, then the Seahawks will win the NFC West.

The Bet
Seattle Seahawks
+475
