Best Bets for the Champions League Today, November 4 (With Reasoning)

Here are the detailed versions of my UCL best bets for today, November 4.

Slavia Prague vs. Arsenal: Arsenal to Win to Nil (-118)

I’ve backed Arsenal to win to nil multiple times this season, and they have consistently delivered. I’m not quite sure why the bookmakers keep offering close to even odds on that outcome, but I’m happy to take it.

The Gunners have only conceded 3 goals in 15 games in all competitions this season and are yet to concede in the Champions League after three games. They are bound to let more goals in at some point, but Slavia Prague doesn’t strike me as the kind of team to create many chances against Arsenal’s stellar defense.

The Czech side has two goals in the Champions League and lacks the quality to trouble the Gunners. You never know in soccer, but Arsenal’s injuries up front mean that they will rely on defense even more than usual.

Viktor Gyokeres will be out of this one, joining the likes of Havertz, Madueke, Odegaard, Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus. The lack of firepower means that Arsenal will focus on keeping a clean sheet and controlling the game.

Something like 1-0 or 2-0 makes the most sense in this one, so the -118 available for the Gunners to record a shutout win is one of the best UCL bets today.

Liverpool vs. Real Madrid: Real Madrid to Win (+172)

Arne Slot got back to basics for Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa, putting on the field essentially a starting lineup of players from last season + Ekitike up front. It worked, but I don’t think it was convincing enough to believe that the Reds are back.

Sure, they got the win and looked better than recently, but Villa had chances to open the scoring and it could’ve went in a completely different direction.

That doesn’t bode well when you’re about to face one of the best teams in Europe. Real Madrid are convincingly leading the Spanish La Liga and look excellent under Xabi Alonso.

They play with excellent discipline at the back and hit hard on the counter. Stylistically, this is a bad matchup for Liverpool, but it’s even worse based on recent form.

The Reds are inconsistent and looking for their identity with so many new players in the squad, while Real are firing at all cylinders right now. Kylian Mbappe is leading the way with 18 goals in 14 La Liga and UCL games combined, so I won’t be shocked if he scores today.

Overall, I believe the odds for a Real Madrid are generous at +172, making this one of the top Champions League betting picks today.
