Maye steered the Patriots to a 14-3 mark and won the AFC East. His playoff numbers aren’t the best, but the second-year QB out of North Carolina made big plays when he had to, in terrible weather conditions in both games.
Maye was an MVP finalist in his second year and is projected to have more total yards than Darnold on Sunday at the best Super Bowl betting sites.

Drake Maye Over/Under 1.5 Passing TDs
- Over 1.5 Passing TDs (+125)
- Under 1.5 Passing TDs (-165)
After an MVP-level sophomore season, Drake Maye has struggled in the playoffs. He has not completed more than 60% of his passes in any game. Maye has also been sacked 15 times, thrown two picks, and fumbled six times.
On the other hand, Maye and the Pats’ struggles came against three of the top five defenses in the NFL. Seattle has a great defense, too, but Maye and company are used to playing against high-level competition this postseason.

Furthermore, despite his struggles, Maye has accounted for all of New England’s TDs. He has four passing touchdowns and is the only Pats’ player with a rushing score this postseason.
Maye is listed at over/under 1.5 passing TDs in Super Bowl 60. The under is favored at -165, but New England needs Maye, who is battling a shoulder injury, to have over 1.5 passing TDs to keep this game competitive.
The Pats have moved the ball effectively on the ground, racking up 392 rush yards, the most of any team this postseason. However, New England’s inability to score on the ground will put more pressure on Maye to score through the air. Maye’s arm will have a big say in New England’s chances to overcome their Super Bowl 60 odds as the underdogs.
Drake Maye Over/Under 38.5 Rush Yards
- Over 38.5 Rush Yards (-115)
- Under 38.5 Rush Yards (-115)
Drake Maye’s legs have been an invaluable tool for the Patriots this postseason. His first-down scamper late against Denver secured New England’s spot in Super Bowl 60.
Maye has 141 rushing yards this postseason, second-most for the Pats, averaging 47.0 YPG on the ground. He is also the only New England player with a rushing TD this postseason and leads the team with two rushes of 20+ yards in the playoffs.

The second-year QB is listed at over/under 38.5 rushing yards for Super Bowl 60.
Maye only had 10 yards on four attempts against Houston in round two. On the other hand, he had 10 carries for 65+ yards against both the Chargers and the Broncos.
He also hurt his shoulder running the ball against Denver. However, Maye has had plenty of time to recover and has been a full participant in practice this week.
Maye’s mobility will help slow down the Seattle pass rush, giving the Pats an edge against one of the best defenses in the league. The Pats’ porous offensive line will also force Maye to scramble often. He used his legs effectively against the top defenses in the AFC playoffs, and I expect him to do it again on Super Bowl Sunday.
