Norway vs. England: Erling Haaland Anytime Scorer (+120)

I feel this bet it’s self-explanatory at this point, but let me tell you why I’m taking it. For a start, Haaland is the best goalscorer in the world. He has delivered 7 goals in 416 minutes played, which is the best goal per game ratio in the entire World Cup.

On top of his individual brilliance, Norway has more than enough players up front to support him. Martin Odegaard is controlling the tempo from midfield, while forwards like Sorloth and Nusa make sure that the opposing defense can’t afford to focus only on Haaland.

If plan A doesn’t work, Norway can bring in guys like Oscar Bobb and Andreas Schjelderup, who assisted twice against Brazil.

You can also add England’s defensive struggles to the list of reasons to back Haaland. The team allowed two goals and many chances against both Mexico and Croatia. England also conceded against DR Congo, and even Ghana and Panama had chances against them, even if they didn’t convert them.

All things considered, getting +120 for Haaland is simply too good to resist and one of the best World Cup player props today.

Argentina vs. Switzerland: Switzerland Keeper 4+ Saves, Argentina Keeper 2+ Saves (+150)

I expect a fairly slow game between Argentina and Switzerland, which doesn’t mean it will be completely dull. Both teams are too good to allow many high-quality chances, but they also have excellent attacking players that should deliver some shots.

A good chunk of them should be low xG opportunities, like long-ranged shots and headers. These are fairly easy for the keepers to save most of the time, so I’m surprised by the high odds I see for this market.

If Argentina deliver 5-6 shots on target, which is completely reasonable, you can certainly expect to see most of them saved. On the other end, even two shots on target could be enough for this bet to cash-in, so I’m happy to take it.
