Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 31

There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.

Dallas Wings -2.5 (-112) vs. Washington Mystics

The Wings (18-10) are coming off a tough loss, one of those games where they let a late lead slip away against Atlanta. That kind of gut-punch finish tends to light a fire under competitive teams, and Dallas has the offensive firepower to respond. Arike Ogunbowale is in the middle of a hot streak right now, and when she’s rolling, the Wings are a dangerous team to bet against.

Washington’s (15-12) offense has looked better recently, which is worth noting. But “recently better” and “consistently good” are two very different things, and the Mystics have been inconsistent enough this season that laying just 2.5 points with a motivated Dallas squad is an easy call. That’s a small margin to cover against a team that can’t sustain offensive production.

The juice at WNBA betting sites is reasonable for a spread this tight. Dallas has the motivation, the star player, and the matchup advantage. That combination is enough to back the Wings with confidence.

The Bet
Dallas Wings -2.5
Lucky Rebel
-112

Indiana Fever -9 (-105) vs. Portland Fire

Indiana’s (18-10) offense is playing some of the best basketball in the league right now, averaging 111.5 points over their last four games. Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Aliyah Boston are all firing on all cylinders. When all three of those players are locked in at the same time, the Fever are nearly impossible to slow down. That kind of multi-layered offensive attack puts enormous pressure on any defense trying to contain them.

Portland (11-17) simply doesn’t have the offensive firepower to match Indiana’s output on the other end. The Fire can’t outscore the Fever, which means their only path to covering a spread is to keep this game close defensively. Against this version of the Fever, that’s a tall order.

The juice of -105 on the Fever spread is extremely reasonable for a team playing at this level. We’re getting a red-hot Indiana squad at a fair price against an opponent that lacks the weapons to compete with them for a full 40 minutes.

The Bet
Indiana Fever -9
Lucky Rebel
-105
