Best Anytime TD Scorer Bets for Week 8 (With Reasoning)

Here’s the reasoning behind my anytime TD scorer picks this week:

Zay Flowers (+140): Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills

Zay Flowers is an appealing anytime touchdown scorer at +140, especially if Baltimore gets Lamar Jackson back under center. Even with Jackson sidelined, Flowers has remained a consistent part of the Ravens’ passing attack, recording at least 10 targets in three of his last four games.

He averages 15.2 yards per reception this season, showing his ability to turn opportunities into explosive plays.

Jackson’s expected return against Buffalo would provide a significant boost to Baltimore’s offense and could create more scoring opportunities for Flowers. With their usual quarterback connection back in action, the wide receiver has a strong chance to make an impact in the red zone.

The matchup is also favorable. Buffalo allows 285.8 passing yards per game, the second most in the NFL, and has surrendered 15 passing touchdowns, including 11 to wide receivers. With Flowers consistently involved and the Bills struggling against the pass, +140 offers an appealing price for him to find the end zone.

Samaje Perine (+229): Tennessee Titans vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Samaje Perine is worth a look as an anytime touchdown scorer at +229 after finding the end zone in back-to-back games for Cincinnati.

Despite operating as Chase Brown’s backup, Perine has been productive with his opportunities, recording both a rushing and receiving touchdown this season. He is also averaging 4.1 yards per carry, ahead of Brown’s 3.5, giving the Bengals another reliable option when they need to move the chains.

The matchup against Tennessee is another reason to like Perine’s chances. The Titans are allowing 4.12 yards per carry and 9.38 yards per reception to opposing running backs. They have also surrendered six touchdowns to the position this season, with at least one running back touchdown in five of their seven games.

Perine’s role in Cincinnati’s short-yardage offense adds to his appeal. He has recorded 11 rushing first downs, just three fewer than Brown, while both backs have four receiving first downs. With his recent scoring form and a favorable matchup, Perine offers intriguing value at +229.

Jonah Coleman (+210): Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos

Jonah Coleman is an intriguing anytime touchdown scorer at +210 after making an impressive return from an ankle injury in Week 7. Following a four-game absence, Coleman led Denver with nine rushing attempts and finished with 54 yards on the ground, the most by a Broncos’ running back in their win over Arizona. That workload suggests he could be in line for another significant role this week.

Denver should have plenty of incentive to lean on its ground game against Kansas City. Establishing the run would help the Broncos control the clock and limit the Chiefs’ offensive possessions, giving Coleman additional opportunities to find the end zone. If he maintains the workload he saw in his return, his scoring chances should follow.

Kansas City has been stingy against the run, allowing just 3.6 yards per carry, but the Chiefs have surrendered four touchdowns to running backs this season. At +210, Coleman offers appealing value, especially if Denver makes its rushing attack a priority to turn the tables after its blowout loss last time around.

Elijah Moore (+1400): Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Commanders

Elijah Moore is a long shot worth considering in the anytime touchdown scorer market at +1400, particularly with Philadelphia dealing with injuries in its backfield. Dameon Pierce was placed on injured reserve this week after scoring in back-to-back games, opening the door for Moore to step into a larger role as the Eagles’ RB2.

Moore could see more playing time than a typical backup, especially with Saquon Barkley battling hamstring, back, and neck issues this season. If Barkley is limited to a pitch count, Moore should get more opportunities to contribute and could handle valuable goal-line touches.

Washington has allowed four rushing touchdowns to running backs over its last three games. While the Commanders have limited opposing backs to 3.82 yards per carry, Philadelphia could lean heavily on its ground game with Tanner McKee under center. Moore’s expanded opportunity and the Eagles’ potential commitment to the run make +1400 an intriguing price for a touchdown gamble.
