Week 2 starts with one of the most anticipated matchups of the 2026 season. Detroit (1-0), fresh off an OT win against New Orleans, heads to Buffalo to play the Bills (1-0) on TNF. This is the Bills’ first regular-season game in their new stadium.

Buffalo scored 36 points against a respected Texans’ defense on Sunday. Considering that, it is not surprising that the Bills are listed as 4-point home favorites this week.

Detroit’s defense fell apart in the second half of their win over New Orleans, giving up 30 points in the second half and overtime. On the other hand, the Bills have limited time to recover from a physical game against Houston, and Buffalo still has a questionable run defense.

The Lions should cover, but Buffalo are likely to open its new stadium with a narrow win on TNF in a high-scoring game.

Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

The toughest game of the week to pick is Panthers vs. Falcons. Carolina (0-1) is a slight road favorite at -2.5, but some books have this game as low as a pick’em.

Both teams lost in Week 1, but they did so in radically different ways. Atlanta’s (0-1) high-powered offense was held back by QB Cooper Rush. The Falcons have named Rush as the starting quarterback for Week 2, so we could have more of the same.

Carolina, on the other hand, hung with Chicago in the first half, scoring 24 points in the first two quarters. However, the Panthers could not sustain their offense in the second half and lost 59-37.

The Panthers swept Atlanta last season, including a 30-0 shutout win early in the season. Also, there are fewer questions about who will be on the field for Carolina, making the Panthers the safer pick for this NFC South matchup.

New Orleans Saints vs. Baltimore Ravens Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

The Jesse Minter era in Baltimore (1-0) started off with a bang as the Ravens won 41-23 over the Colts in Indianapolis. Now, Minter gets a shot at his first home win as a head coach with the Saints (0-1) coming to town.

Baltimore is an 8.5-point favorite at home, the second-largest favorite of Week 2.

New Orleans showed last week that it can hang with the big dogs, losing 31-30 against the Lions in Detroit after missing a 2-point conversion in OT. The Ravens are a different animal, in more ways than one, and their defense is much better than the Lions’.

The Saints allowed Jahmyr Gibbs to rack up 156 rushing yards last week, which led the NFL. Derrick Henry was a close second at 144 yards on the ground. If Henry can replicate Gibbs’s success against the Saints, he will power the Ravens to a 2-0 start.

However, New Orleans has the skill players to keep the game within a score, assuming that WR Chris Olave is able to play. Olave led all receivers last week with 182 receiving yards, so if he’s available, the Saints should keep it respectable. Olave was limited in Friday’s practice, so keep an eye on that ahead of game time.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

After a close first half, Chicago (1-0) literally ran away with the win over the Panthers in Carolina last week. The Bears won 59-37 and racked up 291 rushing yards on 39 attempts, averaging 7.5 yards per run.

D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai both hit triple digits and combined for four rushing TDs, while Caleb Williams also ran for two scores.

The Bears are up 4.5 points against the visiting Vikings (1-0) in the NFL Week 2 odds. Minnesota scored 22 unanswered points in their 39-22 comeback win over the Packers in Week 1.

Brian Flores’s defense should present more hurdles for the Bears and hopefully slow down the Chicago offense. However, Minnesota’s offense is up in the air as QB Kyler Murray is in concussion protocol, and has been ruled out for Week 2. Carson Wentz played great in relief of Murray last week, but it will be challenging to replicate that performance on the road against the Bears this weekend.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Houston Texans Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Houston (0-1) lost a back-and-forth home matchup in Week 1, falling 31-36 to the Bills. Cincinnati (1-0), on the other hand, won a 33-27 shootout against the visiting Buccaneers.

Despite last week’s loss, the Texans are 2.5-point home favorites against Joe Burrow and the Bengals this weekend, as Cincinnati is a +130 moneyline underdog.

On paper, Houston’s defense is worlds better than Tampa Bay’s. It should present new issues for a Bengals’ offense that was able to lean on its running backs when Cincy’s receivers struggled. The Texans struggled to contain Josh Allen, but Burrow is not the same threat to run the ball himself as Allen was.

Houston matches up better against Cincy than it did against Buffalo, potentially setting the Texans up for their first win of the season.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New England Patriots Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Pittsburgh (1-0) opened the season with a 20-13 win over Atlanta. New England (0-1), conversely, lost 13-10 in Seattle to a Seahawks’ team that was led by Drew Lock for most of the game.

Adding to the Patriots’ woes is WR AJ Brown’s high-ankle sprain, which will knock New England’s WR1 out for up to six weeks. Drake Maye and the offense struggled without Brown, but they will have over a week to prepare for this matchup against Pittsburgh.

Rest and home-field advantages are two reasons the Pats are 5-point favorites against the visiting Steelers this weekend.

Pittsburgh won last week, but the offense managed just 264 total yards. The Steelers’ offense will struggle again this week against a tough Patriots’ defense, but Pittsburgh’s D should keep the score close. They forced five turnovers, including four fumbles, to beat the Pats 21-14 in this matchup last year.

The absence of Brown opens the door for Pittsburgh’s defense to keep the game close and cover. However, New England will do just enough to secure the Pats’ first win of the season.

Green Bay (0-1) looked the part of a playoff contender for three quarters in Week 1, taking a 22-17 lead into the fourth quarter. The Packers fell apart in the final frame, giving up 22 unanswered points in their 39-22 loss to the Vikings.

The Jets (1-0), on the other hand, led wire-to-wire in their 23-10 victory over the Titans in Tennessee.

Oddsmakers are siding with the Packers in this matchup, with Green Bay entering the clash as 3-point road favorites. They collapsed last week against a stout Vikings’ defense, but Jordan Love and company will have an easier time against an untested Jets D.

Tennessee could not move the ball against New York. However, the Packers’ offense is significantly better across the board and is extra motivated after their Week 1 loss. Green Bay should win and cover as road favorites this weekend.

Cleveland Browns vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

The Buccaneers (0-1) and the Browns (0-1) are both looking to bounce back from disappointing season-opening performances. Tampa Bay lost 27-33 against the Bengals in Cincy, thanks in part to Baker Mayfield’s three fumbles.

Cleveland, for comparison, trailed 31-0 in the third quarter of their 34-10 loss against the Jaguars in Jacksonville. The Browns are getting 8 points as road underdogs in Tampa Bay this week.

Mayfield and the Bucs’ offense will be better this weekend, even against a tougher Browns’ defense. More importantly, Tampa’s defense will have an easier time containing Cleveland, which is arguably the worst offense in the league.

Tampa Bay should win, but the Bucs will struggle to cover if Mayfield’s turnover issues continue this weekend.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tennessee Titans Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Philadelphia (1-0) earned an important division win over Washington in Week 1. Now, the Eagles are laying 7 points as road favorites over the Titans (0-1) in Tennessee.

The Titans added a late TD to make their 23-10 loss look more respectable, but Tennessee’s offense finished with fewer than 200 total yards. Cam Ward was sacked three times and had a QBR of 34.4 in the opener.

Philadelphia’s defense will present even more issues for Ward and the Titans. The Eagles’ offense should also have an easier time moving the ball against a Tennessee defense that allowed 152 rushing yards last week.

A soft Titans’ defense is great news for the Eagles, who just put LG Landon Dickerson on IR. The three-time Pro Bowler will be missed, but Tennessee will still struggle to contain the Eagles’ rushing attack this Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Denver Broncos Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

The Jaguars (1-0) made a statement in Week 1, dominating the Browns 34-10. Denver (0-1), conversely, was blown out by the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

Despite their 31-10 loss and a slight rest disadvantage, the Broncos are 3-point home favorites against the Jaguars this weekend in Denver.

In their matchup last year, the Jaguars dominated the Broncos 34-20 at Mile High. Trevor Lawrence accounted for four TDs, and Parker Washington had 145 receiving yards. Denver is in danger of another double-digit loss this week if it cannot fix its issues from MNF.

The Broncos missed 28 tackles against the Chiefs on Monday. Their offense also struggled under new play caller Davis Webb, racking up just 176 total yards. That will simply not be enough to hang with the Jaguars, making Jacksonville a great upset pick this weekend.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Chargers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

The Chargers (0-1) were the biggest disappointment of opening weekend. They were favored by 10 points, but lost 26-14 to the visiting Cardinals. LA has the chance to bounce back against the visiting Raiders (0-1) this week.

Las Vegas won 27-13 over the lowly Dolphins, rushing for 130 yards. Kirk Cousins also had three passing TDs in his debut as the Raiders’ QB.

LA’s offense was out of sync last week, and their defense could not contain the Cardinals. Las Vegas can take a similar approach, especially if Brock Bowers returns early from his knee surgery. The tight end is listed as doubtful for this game.

The Raiders might not win, but no one should confidently bet the Chargers to cover a 6.5-point spread after last week’s showing. LA is the safer bet to win, but Las Vegas can cover 6.5 points in SoFi this weekend.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

The Seahawks (1-0) and the Cardinals (1-0) square off in Arizona for the first of their two divisional matchups this season. Seattle will be without Sam Darnold, but the visitors are still favored by 4 points over their NFC West rivals.

Arizona’s offense was surprisingly competent in the team’s 26-14 win over the Chargers. QB Jacoby Brissett had 277 passing yards, and the team had nearly 400 yards of offense. Rookie RB Jeremiyah Love also found the end zone in his pro debut.

Repeating that performance against a stout Seattle defense will be tough. However, the Seahawks’ offense will also struggle without their starting QB.

The best unit in this matchup is Seattle’s defense, which has historically travelled well under head coach Mike Macdonald. Seattle is 15-2 on the road since Macdonald took over and is 22-2 as a favorite during his tenure.

Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Washington (0-1) and Dallas (0-1) both lost tough road divisional matchups in Week 1. The Commanders fell 24-22 in Philadelphia, while the Cowboys lost 28-20 to the Giants on Sunday Night Football.

They both have a chance to right the ship this weekend, and the Cowboys are 4-point favorites at home. Washington is a +175 underdog on the moneyline.

Dallas’s offense was inconsistent, and the defense was non-existent in the loss to New York. On the bright side, they usually play better at home. The Cowboys were 4-3-1 at home last year and have only lost once at home against the Commanders in the last five seasons.

That being said, Dallas will lose this game if they fail to stop the run. The Cowboys allowed 165 rushing yards last week. Washington leaned heavily on its rushing attack last week, gaining 132 yards on 32 attempts against the Eagles.

Another strong performance on the ground will be key to the Commanders’ chances of pulling off the upset this week. The value is on them, even if the Cowboys are favored by the Week 2 odds.

Miami Dolphins vs. San Francisco 49ers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

San Francisco (1-0) pulled off a dominant upset win over LA in the first-ever regular-season game in Australia last week. The 49ers have a tough task ahead of them, playing just over a week after traveling home from the Land Down Under.

The good news for San Fran is that they host the Dolphins (0-1), the frontrunners for the worst team in the league. Oddsmakers have the 49ers favored by 13 points in their home opener.

In addition to being a bad team, the Dolphins are also playing their second road game in as many weeks. Miami had a few explosive plays against the Raiders last week, but they could not capitalize on them.

The 49ers’ defense, jet-lagged as they may be, will be tougher for Miami to move the ball on than Las Vegas was. San Francisco is a virtual lock to win, but their tired offense could struggle to cover a 13-point spread.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Kansas City Chiefs Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Kansas City (1-0) opened the season with an impressive, dominant win over Denver on MNF. The Chiefs will attempt to repeat that performance this week on SNF against the visiting Colts (0-1).

Patrick Mahomes and company are 6.5-point favorites against Indy.

The Chiefs leaned heavily on free-agent signee Kenneth Walker III in Week 1. KW3 lived up to the hype, gaining 191 scrimmage yards on 26 total touches. He should see another heavy workload this weekend against a Colts’ defense that allowed 202 rushing yards to the Ravens last week.

Indy’s defense was bad, but the Colts’ running attack remained efficient. Jonathan Taylor had 98 yards on 19 carries and two rushing TDs.

Leaning on Taylor is the Colts’ best shot at an upset or, at the very least, covering the spread. A heavy rushing attack from both teams favors the under, and the Chiefs’ advantage at QB gives them the edge to pull out the win.

New York Giants vs. Los Angeles Rams Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Week 2 concludes with an MNF showdown between the Giants (1-0) and Rams (0-1) in Los Angeles. The Giants are riding high after a huge win over the Cowboys, but traveling across the country will be tough to manage. LA has its own travel issues after playing in Australia last Thursday.

The Rams also have injury concerns to manage. Aaron Donald is not ready to return yet, although head coach Sean McVay is “hopeful” he can play on Monday night. DE Myles Garrett is on IR after having knee surgery.

A depleted Rams’ defensive line will struggle to stop the Giants’ run-heavy attack. Historically, teams have also struggled the week after playing the 49ers due to San Francisco’s physical defense.

Matthew Stafford and the offense looked out of sync last week in Australia. If those issues persist, the Rams will be unable to cover the large spread against the Giants on MNF. Still, they are much better overall and should find a way to win this one.
