The NFL Week 3 schedule kicks off with an AFC West matchup between the Dolphins and Bills in Buffalo. Josh Allen and the Bills are double-digit favorites over their divisional rival.

This week’s other prime-time matchups include a battle between two desperate 0-2 teams on Sunday Night Football, as the Chiefs face the Giants at MetLife. Then, on Monday Night Football, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens host Jared Goff and the Lions.

Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Miami Dolphins +12 (-110) +525 Over 49.5 (-105)
Buffalo Bills -12 (-110) -800 Under 49.5 (-115)

Buffalo dominated the Jets on Sunday, improving to 2-0 with its 30-10 win. The Bills have scored 71 points in their first two games, and they are favored by 12 points this week against Miami.

The Dolphins beat the Patriots last week, but De’Von Achane’s game-winning touchdown was called back after he stepped out of bounds. Miami was unable to score again, dropping to 0-2 to begin the season and putting Mike McDaniel definitely on the hot seat.

Reigning MVP Josh Allen and the rest of Buffalo’s offense should have their way with the Dolphins’ defense on TNF. However, Miami’s explosive skill players could create similar issues for the Bills.

Buffalo struggled to stop Baltimore in Week 1, allowing 40 points in the win. If those issues reemerge this week against Miami, then the Dolphins should cover the 12-point spread.

Dolphins vs. Bills NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Miami Dolphins +12 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Buffalo Bills (-800)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 49.5 (-105)

Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Atlanta Falcons -5.5 (-110) -240 Over 43.5 (-105)
Carolina Panthers +5.5 (-110) +200 Under 43.5 (-115)

The Falcons’ offense was clicking on all cylinders in the team’s SNF win over Minnesota. Atlanta (1-1) is a 5.5-point road favorite this week against NFC South rival Carolina. The Panthers are listed as +200 moneyline underdogs for their home opener this week.

Atlanta’s Bijan Robinson is fifth in rushing yards (167) and is tied for the most receiving yards (125) by a running back this year. Carolina’s defense, for comparison, has allowed 282 rushing yards his season, the seventh-most in the NFL through two games.

If Robinson continues to be the Falcons’ driving force on offense, he will power them to a win this weekend and improve his Offensive Player of the Year odds. Carolina has lost by at least five points in each of its first two games, so I believe the Falcons can cover the 5.5-point spread.

Falcons vs. Panthers NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Atlanta Falcons -5.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Atlanta Falcons (-240)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 43.5 (-115)

Green Bay Packers vs. Cleveland Browns Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Green Bay Packers -7.5 (-110) -430 Over 42 (-115)
Cleveland Browns +7.5 (-110) +320 Under 42 (-105)

Green Bay’s defense has dominated opponents this year, allowing just 15.5 PPG this season. The Packers hit the road for the first time this weekend, taking on the Browns. Bovada lists the Packers as 7.5-point road favorites in Week 3.

The Browns suffered a big loss last week, falling 41-17 to their division rival, Baltimore. Despite the final score, Cleveland’s defense was able to hold the Ravens’ typically dominant rushing attack to just 45 total yards on 21 attempts.

Cleveland’s rush defense is top-notch. Unfortunately, the Browns’ pass defense and their offense as a whole need a lot of work.

Green Bay’s defense will get after 40-year-old Joe Flacco early and often, leading Green Bay to its third win of the season. However, I think the Browns will play better at home than they did on the road, and Cleveland will cover this weekend.

Packers vs. Browns NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Cleveland Browns +7.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Green Bay Packers (-430)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 42 (-115)

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Houston Texans +1 (-110) -105 Over 44.5 (-110)
Jacksonville Jaguars -1 (-110) -115 Under 44.5 (-110)

Houston and Jacksonville square off this weekend in a vital AFC South matchup. The Texans (0-2) are searching for their first win of the season. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars, on the other hand, could not beat the Joe Burrow-less Bengals last week.

The Texans’ defense has played well despite its back-to-back losses to start the season. Houston has allowed just 17 PPG through the first two weeks. Unfortunately, the Texans have only scored 13.5 PPG.

Houston will have an easier time moving the ball against Jacksonville. The Jaguars, conversely, are 1-1 despite playing two of the weakest defenses in the NFL. Taking on the Texans will be a culture shock for Lawrence and company, and the Jags will likely lose at home this weekend.

Texans vs. Jaguars NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Houston Texans +1 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Houston Texans (-105)
  • Over/Under Bet: Houston Texans (-105)

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Minnesota Vikings Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Cincinnati Bengals +3 (+100) +140 Over 41.5 (-110)
Minnesota Vikings -3 (-120) -165 Under 41.5 (-110)

Up next is the battle of backup QBs between the Bengals and the Vikings. Joe Burrow suffered a turf toe injury in Week 2, and J.J. McCarthy hurt his ankle. As a result, Jake Browning and Carson Wentz will lead Cincinnati and Minnesota, respectively.

The Vikings are 3-point favorites at home. However, Cincy is only a +140 underdog on the moneyline, suggesting a 41.67% implied win probability.

Wentz’s last start was a 38-0 blowout loss to Denver in the Chiefs’ regular-season finale a season ago. On the bright side, Wentz will have other starters around him this time around for his first meaningful start in two years.

Browning, on the other hand, went 4-3 as the Bengals starter in 2023. Like Wentz, the Vikings QB has plenty of playmakers around him. It should be a close one, so getting the Bengals at plus odds is where the value lies.

Bengals vs. Vikings NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Cincinnati Bengals +3 (+100)
  • Moneyline Bet: Cincinnati Bengals (+140)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 41.5 (-110)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New England Patriots Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Pittsburgh Steelers -1.5 (-110) -125 Over 44.5 (-115)
New England Patriots +1.5 (-110) +105 Under 44.5 (-105)

Pittsburgh’s defense allowed just 20.4 PPG last season. The Steelers have allowed 30+ points in both games this season, and their offense looked lifeless in the second half of their home loss in Week 2.

Despite their disappointing 1-1 start, the Steelers are 1.5-point favorites on the road in New England this week.

The Patriots are also 1-1 to start the 2025 season. New England’s offense made significant improvements between Week 1 and Week 2. They lost as home favorites on Week 1 but won their shootout with the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday.

The Steelers have multiple defense starters who are questionable for this matchup.
Also, they have lost their last 3 matchups against the Patriots. If New England can maintain the momentum from last week, they will beat Pittsburgh.

Steelers vs. Patriots NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: New England Patriots +1.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: New England Patriots (+105)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 44.5 (-115)

Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Los Angeles Rams +3.5 (-120) +160 Over 44 (-115)
Philadelphia Eagles -3.5 (+100) -185 Under 44 (-105)

One of the marquee matchups of Week 3 is the Divisional Round rematch between the Rams and the Eagles. These teams met in Week 12 last year, and the Eagles won 37-20 thanks to Saquon Barkley’s 300+ scrimmage yards.

Los Angeles and Philadelphia played again in the playoffs, and Saquon had another 200+ rushing yards. However, the Eagles were lucky to escape the game with a 28-22 win at home.

Philly is a 3.5-point favorite for this matchup of undefeated teams. LA’s defense has looked great to start the season, but Barkley has decimated them in their last two meetings. I trust the RB to have another career day against the Rams, leading the Eagles to a win at home.

Rams vs. Eagles NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Philadelphia Eagles (-185)
  • Moneyline Bet: Philadelphia Eagles -3.5 (+100)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 44 (-115)

New York Jets vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
New York Jets +7.5 (-115) +280 Over 45.5 (-110)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7.5 (-105) -360 Under 45.5 (-110)

Baker Mayfield has two game-winning drives through the first two weeks of the season. It was not easy, but the Buccaneers knocked off the Falcons and the Texans on the road. Now, Baker and the Bucs are 7.5-point favorites for their home opener against the Jets.

New York narrowly lost in Week 1, falling 34-32 at home to Pittsburgh. The Jets’ offense struggled to find its rhythm in Week 2, resulting in a 30-10 loss against the Bills.

To make matters worse, Justin Fields suffered a concussion in the loss to Buffalo, putting his Week 3 status in doubt. If Fields is unable to play, then Tyrod Taylor will start his first game since 2023.

New York’s defense has allowed 30+ points in back-to-back weeks, and it should be the easiest matchup the Bucs offense has had this season. Tampa Bay should win and cover the spread with ease if Fields misses the game.

Jets vs. Buccaneers NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7.5 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-360)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 45.5 (-110)

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Indianapolis Colts -3.5 (-105) -185 Over 43 (-115)
Tennessee Colts +3.5 (-115) +160 Under 43 (-105)

The Colts and Titans had similar expectations entering the year, but the start of their seasons could not have been more different. Tennessee is 0-2, and the offense has struggled against two of the top defenses in the league.

Indianapolis, conversely, is off to a surprising 2-0 start, and Daniel Jones is playing the best football of his NFL career. The Colts have a +4 turnover differential, which is the best in the league through two games. Indy’s defense has forced three interceptions and one fumble so far this year.

The Colts’ defense should continue to play well against rookie QB Cam Ward. Another point in Indy’s favor is the team’s 161.5 rushing yards per game, which is third-most in the NFL. Tennessee has allowed the fourth-most rushing yards (150 YPG) this year, so the Colts’ running game should carry them to a win this week.

Colts vs. Titans NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Indianapolis Colts -3.5 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Indianapolis Colts (-185)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 43 (-105)

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Washington Commanders Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Las Vegas Raiders +3.5 (-110) +155 Over 44.5 (-110)
Washington Commanders -3.5 (-110) -180 Under 44.5 (-110)

One of the toughest matchups to predict in Week 3 pits the Raiders against the Commanders in Washington. When healthy, the Commanders are clearly the better team.

Unfortunately, second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels was one of several passers to get injured in Week 2. Daniels has a sprained knee and is questionable to play this week against Las Vegas. If Daniels is out, then the Commanders could be in trouble.

Even with the reigning Rookie of the Year under center, Washington has struggled to move the ball over the last six quarters. The Commanders were down 17-3 entering the fourth quarter of their TNF loss to Green Bay.

Las Vegas had plenty of issues of its own moving the ball in its Week 2 prime time loss. The Raiders’ defense should be in for a big day if Daniels misses this contest, and I trust them to stop the opposition in this one.

Raiders vs. Commanders NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Las Vegas Raiders +3.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Las Vegas Raiders (+155)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 44.5 (-110)

Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Denver Broncos +2.5 (+100) +130 Over 45.5 (-115)
Los Angeles Chargers -2.5 (-120) -150 Under 45.5 (-105)

Bo Nix’s slow start to his sophomore season has the Broncos sitting at 1-1. Denver’s defense was the driving force in their Week 1 win over Tennessee. Sadly for them, the Broncos could not repeat that performance in their 29-28 loss to the Colts.

The Chargers, on the other hand, have held the Chiefs and Raiders to a combined 30 points. Los Angeles’s offense has also looked more explosive in the second year of the Jim Harbaugh Era.

LA has averaged 270 passing YPG this season, the fourth-most in the NFL. Justin Herbert’s 9.2 yards per pass attempt are the second-most in the NFL among quarterbacks with at least 10 attempts. Herbert has seven completions of 20+ yards this season and has not thrown an interception.

The Chargers swept the Broncos last season and, given Nix’s struggles, I think they will win again this weekend. LA should win and cover at home, improving to 3-0 against divisional opponents and taking a massive lead in the race to win the AFC West.

Broncos vs. Chargers NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Los Angeles Chargers (-150)
  • Moneyline Bet: Los Angeles Chargers -2.5 (-120)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 45.5 (-105)

New Orleans Saints vs. Seattle Seahawks Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
New Orleans Saints +7 (-105) +295 Over 41.5 (-110)
Seattle Seahawks -7 (-115) -390 Under 41.5 (-110)

Seattle’s slow offensive start cost them in Week 1 against San Francisco. However, the Seahawks put their opening week loss behind them and upset the Steelers 31-17 in Pittsburgh.

After being down 14-7 at halftime, Seattle outscored Pittsburgh 24-3 in the second half. Seattle’s offense had over 400 yards in the road win.

The Seahawks are back home this week and will host the lowly Saints. New Orleans is a 7-point road underdog this Sunday. The Saints are 0-2 and averaging under 200 passing YPG this season.

It has not been all bad for the Saints, though. Second-year quarterback Spencer Rattler has yet to throw an interception and has completed 65% of his passes this season.

New Orleans was competitive in last week’s loss to the 49ers. I think they will keep the game interesting again this week and stay within the 7-point spread in a losing effort.

Saints vs. Seahawks NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: New Orleans Saints +7 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Seattle Seahawks (-390)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 41.5 (-110)

Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Dallas Cowboys +1 (-110) -105 Over 49.5 (-115)
Chicago Bears -1 (-110) -115 Under 49.5 (-105)

Dallas’s offense looked like one of the most explosive units in the league during the Cowboys’ 40-37 OT win over the Giants. Now, the Cowboys look to improve to 2-1 against the Bears in Chicago. Their defense struggled last week, but Dallas is well-positioned to pull off a road upset this weekend.

The Bears are 0-2 to start Ben Johnson’s tenure as head coach. Chicago was up 17-6 entering the fourth quarter of Week 1. However, the Bears allowed 21 unanswered points and lost to the Vikings 27-24.

Last week, Chicago did its best to hang with the Lions, but a late score gave Detroit a 28-14 halftime lead. The Lions tacked on another 24 points in the second half.

The Bears have been outscored 73-28 over the last five quarters. Chicago’s defense should improve, eventually. For this week, though, the Cowboys are in a prime spot to secure the win and move to 2-1 this season.

Cowboys vs. Bears NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Dallas Cowboys +1 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Dallas Cowboys (-105)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 49.5 (-115)

Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Arizona Cardinals +1.5 (-105) +110 Over 44 (-110)
San Francisco 49ers -1.5 (-115) -130 Under 44 (-110)

Arizona (2-0) and San Francisco (2-0) are both undefeated heading into their first matchup of the season. The Cardinals are 1.5-point road underdogs for this NFC West showdown.

San Fran survived its first game without Brock Purdy at quarterback. Mac Jones racked up 279 passing yards and three touchdowns while completing 66.7% of his passes against New Orleans. Christian McCaffrey also had over 100 yards from scrimmage in the win.

Arizona, on the other hand, barely topped 300 yards of offense in its win over Carolina. The Cardinals’ defense allowed Bryce Young to rack up 328 passing yards, the fourth-most of any QB in Week 2.

San Fran is still missing multiple playmakers on offense, but Jones should have a productive day against a weak Cardinals’ defense. The 49ers should win and cover in the NFC West divisional matchup.

Cardinals vs. 49ers NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: San Francisco 49ers -1.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: San Francisco (-130)
  • Over/Under Bet: San Francisco (-130)

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Giants Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Kansas City Chiefs -6 (-110) -275 Over 44.5 (-115)
New York Giants +6 (-110) +225 Under 44.5 (-105)

The Chiefs’ shocking 0-2 start has them firmly in last place in the AFC West. On the bright side, Kansas City has the perfect opponent for a get-right game against the 0-2 Giants on Sunday Night Football this week.

Kansas City is laying 6 points as a road favorite in this game. Russell Wilson and the G-Men are available as +225 moneyline underdogs for this game.

Winning this game will not be a walk in the park for the Chiefs. The Giants have a good defensive line and, if Wilson and Malik Nabers are in sync, the Giants can score from anywhere on the field.

The 6-point spread looks too big, so I’m backing the Giants in this market. However, the Chiefs’ defense should disrupt the Giants’ offense enough for KC to get its first win of the season.

Chiefs vs. Giants NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: New York Giants +6 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Kansas City Chiefs (-275)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 44.5 (-105)

Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Detroit Lions +6 (-110) +235 Over 51.5 (-110)
Baltimore Ravens -6 (-110) -285 Under 51.5 (-110)

Rounding out the betting lines for NFL Week 3 is a massive matchup between the Lions (1-1) and the Ravens (1-1) in Baltimore. Detroit struggled in Week 1 against Green Bay, but Jared Goff and company bounced back on Sunday by scoring 52 points against Chicago.

Baltimore, on the other hand, has scored 81 combined points this year, the most in the NFL. Unfortunately, the Ravens were unable to hold onto their 15-point fourth-quarter lead in the opener against the Bills, so they are just 1-1.

To make their 41-point performance against Cleveland even more impressive, the Ravens did it despite an inefficient day on the ground. Baltimore had just 45 rushing yards in the win, but Lamar Jackson made up for it by throwing four touchdowns.

Jackson is 24-2 against the NFC in his career as a starter. That record includes a 38-6 win over the Lions in 2023. The Ravens should win this game, but Detroit is a good bet to keep it close.

Lions vs. Ravens NFL Week 3 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Detroit Lions +6 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Baltimore Ravens (-285)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 51.5 (-110)
