The NFL worst record odds present substantial value for the 2025-26 season. While most bettors are wagering on which team is going to win the Super Bowl, there is a solid opportunity to bet on the worst NFL team.
Which team is going to finish with the worst NFL regular season record? Let’s dive into the odds and analyze the teams before I share my predictions for 2025-26.
2025-26 NFL Odds for Worst Record
Here are the latest NFL fewest wins odds, courtesy of Bovada:
TEAM | ODDS |
---|---|
Cleveland Browns | +400 |
New Orleans Saints | +400 |
New York Giants | +600 |
New York Jets | +900 |
Tennessee Titans | +1000 |
Carolina Panthers | +1400 |
Las Vegas Raiders | +1400 |
Indianapolis Colts | +1500 |
Miami Dolphins | +2000 |
Jacksonville Jaguars | +2500 |
The lowly Cleveland Browns (+400) and New Orleans Saints (+400) are co-favorites to finish with the worst record in the NFL. At +400, they share a 20% implied probability to win the fewest games this season.
It’s a dubious honor, but someone must finish in the basement of the NFL. The best NFL betting sites believe that the Browns and Saints have the best chance of having the worst NFL record in 2025-26.
The New York Giants (+600) are also regarded as a losing team this season. That is to be expected for a Giants squad that remains in rebuild mode with a rookie quarterback. They have a 14.3% implied probability, so not quite as bad as the Browns and Saints.

Favorites to Finish with the Worst Record in the NFL
The best of the worst NFL teams aren’t surprising this season. All three favorites lack depth and talent, which doesn’t bode well for their records. Let’s dive into the details:
Cleveland Browns (+400)
Veteran QB Joe Flacco is the Week 1 starter for the Cleveland Browns. Need I say more? The Browns are expected to go into the season with the 40-year-old under center against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Along with Flacco, head coach Kevin Stefanski had rookie quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders to choose from. Yikes. That’s a shaky quarterback room, with Flacco the best option right now.

Last season, Flacco passed for 1,761 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions with the Indianapolis Colts. In 2023-24, Flacco rejuvenated his career with 1,616 yards, 13 touchdowns, and eight interceptions as an emergency starter.
Flacco can be serviceable, but there isn’t much to work with on offense. RB Nick Chubb signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans, leaving the Browns without a potent running game. The biggest star on the offense is WR Jerry Jeudy, and he doesn’t have anyone to draw attention away.
The Browns’ defense took a step back last season. They finished 18th with 342.1 yards allowed and 27th with 25.6 points against per game in the NFL. There is talent on the defense, including DE Myles Garrett and rookie DT Mason Graham. The secondary is in good order with CB Denzel Ward, Greg Newsome, and Martin Emerson.
The defense is the only redeeming feature, but the offense will continually put them in tough spots. Still, I don’t think the Browns are the worst NFL team this season!
New Orleans Saints (+400)
The New Orleans Saints had a doozy of a quarterback situation in training camp. Their options for QB1 were Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener, and rookie Tyler Shough. Yikes x3.
Shough, who was drafted with the No. 40 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, was being touted as the starter for much of the offseason. That’s not a good situation for any NFL team to be in, relying on a second-round draft pick to step in for Week 1.

Rattler ultimately won the training camp battle, as he enters his second season and first as QB1. His rookie campaign was filled with ups and downs. Rattler finished with 1,317 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions on a shaky 57% completion rate.
Look for Rattler to show a bit of growth, but don’t expect the world from him. Someone has to get WR Chris Olave and WR Brandin Cooks the ball, but it’s going to be difficult. The offense will feature a heavy dose of RB Alvin Kamara, which will allow defenses to crowd the line and stop the run.
On the other end, the defense offers little to get excited about, with this possibly being the worst unit in the NFL. DE Cameron Jordan and LB Demario Davis are in their mid-30s now and have lost a step, while the secondary is in rough shape.
The Browns have some talent on defense, but the Saints are barren without any depth! In short, New Orleans is a serious candidate for my worst NFL team predictions.
New York Giants (+600)
Are the NFL odds for the worst record accurate with the New York Giants at +600? I’d say they are positioned correctly behind the Browns and Saints. The Giants are going to run into issues, but I’m optimistic that they are better than those two clubs.
If anything, the Giants have a quarterback who can confidently run a playbook. Former Seahawks’ QB Russell Wilson will be in the starting role for the Giants in Week 1. He is unlikely to give up the starting job in the near future, but QB Jaxson Dart is waiting to get his shot.

The Giants drafted Dart with the 25th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Ole Miss product is expected to play a critical role in the future but has the luxury of learning behind a Super Bowl winner.
Overall, the offense has something to offer. WR Malik Nabers and WR Darius Slayton round out a solid receiving core.
However, the running game should be nonexistent with RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the backfield. The offensive line offers no confidence, so Wilson should be a sitting duck in the pocket. Still, the Giants’ defense is far superior to the Saints and Browns.
The pass rush should be dangerous with rookie Abdul Carter joining Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Also, DT Dexter Lawrence is coming off a standout campaign with nine sacks in 12 games. This defense is too good to claim that the Giants are the worst team in the NFL this season!
2025-26 NFL Worst Record Prediction and Betting Pick
The Saints and Browns are going to tank for the worst record in the NFL in 2025-26. It’s going to be a tight battle to the end, but I am confident that the Saints’ NFL worst team odds are the best value.
With three inexperienced quarterbacks on their roster this season, there isn’t any good option. It’s going to be a continual learning experience for whoever is on the field. Rattler will open the season as the starter, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Shough and Haener get an opportunity.
Not only is the offense going to be a mess, but the defense is old and going to give up big plays. I can lean on the Browns’ defense and point out some quality characteristics. That isn’t the case with the Saints, who are going to be ripped with this unit.
Considering that the offense will put them in difficult spots all season, it’s a messy formula in New Orleans! The way I see it, the Saints are the worst NFL team in 2025-26. At +400, this is a strong price.
