DRIVER ODDS
Connor Zilisch +160
Justin Allgaier +200
Sam Mayer +500
Austin Hill +700
Jesse Love +700
Carson Kvapil +2500
Brandon Jones +2800
Sammy Smith +2800
Sheldon Creed +2800
Taylor Gray +3500

Rising star 19-year-old JR Motorsports’ Connor Zilisch (+160) is favored to win the 2025 Xfinity Series Championship at the best NASCAR betting sites. Zilisch holds a 38.5% implied probability to continue rolling and clinch his first NASCAR title. He’s in fantastic form and has all the momentum entering the playoffs.

2024 Xfinity Series champ Justin Allgaier trails Zilisch closely, with +200 odds and a 33.3% chance to go back-to-back. Aside from Zilisch and Allgaier, there isn’t much confidence in another driver having enough to prevail.

Sam Mayer (+500) has the third-best odds to win the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Championship. At +500, there is a decent drop from 33.3% to 12.5%, so Ailisch and Allgaier are in a group of their own heading to Bristol Motor Speedway. Following Mayer, Austin Hill (+700) and Jesse Love (+700) remain in the hunt.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Favorites

The Xfinity Series Championship is likely going to come down to the following three drivers. Let’s break down the leading contenders and where they stand before the opening race of the playoffs:

Connor Zilisch (+160)

Zilisch might be the most exciting Cup Series prospect in over five years. In an era that includes a thinning talent pool in the lower ranks, Zilisch is well above the competition.

He’s dominated the Xfinity Series and is running laps around his peers. Zilisch leads all drivers with eight trips to Victory Lane, including wins in four straight races heading into the postseason! Zilisch booked his seventh pole of the year and then dominated to capture another win at WWT Raceway.

With nine wins in 28 races, Zilisch owns the record for the highest winning percentage in the Xfinity Series at 31.2%. Kyle Busch won 27.8% of races over a 367-race span, but it’s nevertheless still impressive from the 19-year-old Zilisch.

He has seven wins over his last eight showings, making an incredible run to prominence.

The Trackhouse Racing development driver has proven that he can win on a road course, short track, and at superspeedways. He’s a versatile driver who can win on a multitude of different circuits.

In addition to the nine wins, Zilisch has 14 top 5 finishes with one race remaining in the regular season! The No. 88 car has been a machine, and Zilisch is rightfully the leading betting favorite to win the Xfinity Series title.

Justin Allgaier (+200)

The championship race tilts in favor of Zilisch, but Allgaier shouldn’t be underestimated. Allgaier is the defending champion and has been here before. He has the experience and confidence to spoil Zilisch’s party in short order.

Allgaier is second in the Xfinity Series standings, putting him 20 points behind Zilisch’s 924. Zilisch’s JR Motorsports teammate has three victories and 12 top 5 performances. He is having a great season, and if it wasn’t for Zilisch’s insane year, we would be talking about how good Allgaier has been again.

The 39-year-old part-time Cup Series driver hasn’t been able to catch on with a full ride at the top level of stock car racing. However, Allgaier has made a nice living in the Xfinity Series and is finding more success in 2025. It took him years to capture the Xfinity title, and now, he could make it two in a row.

Unfortunately, Allgaier hasn’t won since Nashville on May 31. He was a runner-up at Pocono three races back and has two top 5 finishes in four races. Zilisch has managed to keep his distance from Allgaier, though.

Sam Mayer (+500)

Mayer has kept within striking distance of Zilisch and Allgaier in the Xfinity Series standings. The 22-year-old native of Franklin, Wisconsin, is ranked third in the regular season standings with one win and 12 top 5 performances for Haas.

He recorded one win in his No. 41 Ford Mustang in the regular season but showed solid consistency to be competitive. Mayer’s average finish of 9.6 puts him roughly one position behind Zilisch.

This is about three positions better than Allgaier, so despite only one victory, he has proven to be more consistent. On August 2, Mayer won his first race of the season in the Hyvee Perks 250 at Iowa Speedway. He followed up with a runner-up effort at The Glen on a road course, and then 5th at Daytona.

Mayer is in strong form at the right time and could be a sneaky driver in the playoffs. I’m not counting him out, but is he worth a look for your 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship picks?

2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Longshot Bets

The NASCAR Xfinity Championship odds have two underdogs on the board that present strong value for bettors. It’s going to be tough for the long shots to compete with the top 5 drivers, but these two are worth a small play:

  1. 1. Carson Kvapil (+2500)

22-year-old Carson Kvapil is finding a nice groove with the playoffs right around the corner. Kvapil is sixth in the Xfinity Series standings with 728 points on the season.

He doesn’t have a win in 25 starts, but he is in solid form with 12 top 10 finishes in 2025. Kvapil has progressively gotten stronger later in the season. It took him a minute to find his stride in the No. 1 Chevy, but Kvapil has figured it out down the stretch, despite reliability issues in the regular season finale.

Minus the car problems to end the season, if Kvapil had been in this shape all season long, he’d have had much more than 12 top 10 performances. The driver you saw in the spring, with eight of 10 races outside of the top 15, isn’t what we have now. In short, there is decent value on Kvapil to win the championship at +2500!

  2. 2. Taylor Gray (+3500)

Another small bet to consider as one of the best 2025 Xfinity Series Championship betting picks is on Taylor Gray at +3500. This is one of the best value bets on a driver who has led more laps than Mayer this season!

Despite being a bubble driver for the playoffs, Gray has led more laps than all but four in the field. Additionally, with six top 5 finishes, Gray has more than four drivers ahead of him in the standings, and only one shy of Jesse Love.

Some more consistency would be appreciated, but at +3500, you are betting on Gray finding his hot form over seven races. He’s a hot and cold driver, though the value is certainly there on the 20-year-old from New Mexico.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship 2025 Predictions and Betting Pick

Is Zilisch really that good, or is he racing against a weak field in the Xfinity Series? It’s a little bit of both. The Xfinity Series isn’t as competitive as it was over a decade ago. The talent pool of younger drivers isn’t as strong as it was then.

However, Zilisch would have been regarded as a good driver in that era regardless. He’s one of the best prospects that has come up through the Xfinity Series in several years. It doesn’t always translate to the Cup Series, but Zilisch will most certainly have a full-time ride soon.

Everything considered, Zilisch should probably be closer to a +110 favorite to win the Xfinity Series Championship. He’s a solid step ahead of the rest of the playoff field, including Allgaier and Mayer. If Zilisch can avoid getting wrecked, he’s the clear driver to beat!

At +160 odds, Zilisch is the top bet to win the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship.
