There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we selected our KBO baseball picks each day.

Hanwha Eagles vs. SSG Landers: SSG (-120)

The Hanwha Eagles and SSG Landers open a three-game series at SSG Landers Field on Friday. The Landers are looking to improve on a 37-35-3 record, and remain in the postseason hunt. On Thursday, the Landers were in solid form with a 4-1 win over the Doosan Bears.

They take on a club at the top of the standings, as the Hanwha Eagles enter at 44-30-1 following a 3-1 win over the Lions. However, SSG should have the advantage on the mound in this one. They are scheduled to assign Moon Seung-won to the hill for his 10th start in 2025.

Moon enters with an ERA of 3.40 and a 1.15 WHIP across 47.2 innings. The 35-year-old veteran heads into the matchup with two earned runs in two consecutive starts. He hasn’t conceded more than three runs since April 13 against the KT Wiz.

In eight of his nine performances, Moon has allowed three or fewer runs. He is the better starter in this one against Eagles’ starter Um Sang-back. Um heads into Friday’s billing with a 6.06 ERA and a shaky 1-6 record in 52 frames. The 28-year-old former KT Wiz pitcher is coming off a tough outing, with six hits and five earned runs in 3.2 innings.

The Landers have value at home with Moon on the bump, so consider backing them on the moneyline for your best KBO bets today!

Samsung Lions vs. Kiwoom Heroes: Samsung -1.5 (-120)

The Samsung Lions aim to bounce back after a 3-1 loss to the Eagles yesterday. The Lions struggled to put runs on the board in a two-run loss at home. However, they were coming off a 7-2 victory a day earlier, and have what should be a simple series versus the lowly Kiwoom Heroes.

The Heroes head into tonight with a 22-54-3 record, and rank dead last in offense and pitching in the KBO. As a team, the Heroes’ pitching staff owns a 5.58 ERA, which is the worst mark by a large margin. Additionally, they are at the bottom in team batting average, with a lousy .233 mark.

Lions’ starter Choi Won-tae enters with a pedestrian ERA of 5.18 and a 1.48 WHIP. That being said, he should handle the inept Heroes, who can’t score against most pitchers in the league. Furthermore, Choi allowed two or fewer earned runs in six of his last eight performances.

I expect Choi to have a strong effort on the road on Friday. Rookie Jung Hyun-woo gets the call, as the rookie looks to improve on an ERA of 3.33 and 1.68 WHIP. He has a solid ERA, but the 1.68 WHIP suggests he’s allowing too many base runners. Despite managing to get out of jams, Jung is going to pay for that soon.

It could be the Lions, who rank second in the league, with a team batting average of .269. They’re also first in home runs and second in RBIs. In short, I recommend siding with the Lions on the runline for your best KBO picks on Friday.
