There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we selected our KBO baseball picks each day.

Kiwoom Heroes vs. LG Twins: LG -1.5 (-140)

The LG Twins aim to make it back-to-back wins over the Kiwoom Heroes on Wednesday! They were able to put together a late-inning comeback to oust the Heroes in what would be described as not the best effort from the Twins.

Kiwoom is the worst team in the league by a wide margin. They are 24.5 games behind first place with a record of 26-59-3. In addition to a bad record, you can believe that they’re struggling to pitch and hit. The Heroes are last in the KBO, with a team batting average of .236 and a 5.42 ERA.

Expect the Twins’ offense to have the upper hand over Jung Hyun-woo in this one. The young 19-year-old rookie has impressed through 35.1 innings in his first season as a pro. He owns a 3.57 ERA and 1.56 WHIP over seven starts.

However, Jung has still made rookie mistakes on the mound. He’s coming off the worst start of his career, with five hits and five earned runs allowed versus the KT Wiz. Jung has had two poor efforts on the road, as he conceded four earned runs versus the KIA Tigers as well.

The Twins assign Son Ju-young to the mound for his 17th appearance in 2025. Son is in solid form with a 3.98 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 81.1 innings of work. He locked down the Heroes for a 1.29 ERA and 0.71 WHIP across seven frames back on April 8.

I trust Son to neutralize the lowly Heroes, so the Twins are worth a look as one of the best KBO bets today!

LG Twins -1.5

Kia Tigers vs. Hanwha Eagles: Over 9 (-112)

In what I anticipate to be a high-scoring contest, the KIA Tigers and Hanwha Eagles square off at Hanwha Life Eagles Park. With Yang Hyeon-jong and Um Sang-back scheduled to see the mound, the runs should flow in this matchup.

Yang makes his 18th start of the season with a 4.92 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. As one of the most reliable pitchers in the KBO for more than a decade, the 37-year-old Yang is showing some wear and tear this season. Entering the league in 2007, Yang has made 530 appearances in the KBO!

While Yang is still capable of delivering, he appears to have more of a tired arm recently. In two starts against the Eagles, Yang has posted a 5.40 ERA this season. The Eagles are likely to get to Yang’s arm in this one.

Likewise, I share the same pessimism for the Eagles’ starter, Um. The 28-year-old heads into Tuesday with a rocky 6.23 ERA and 1.70 WHIP through 14 games. Since posting a 4.88 ERA last season, Um hasn’t been able to find his form again.

Over his last three starts, Um yielded 12 earned runs in 12.1 innings of work. Um’s control was well off, as he notched a 1.91, 2.00, and 2.18 WHIP in those three showings. In other words, runs should be easy to come by, so consider the Over 9 runs for your best KBO picks Wednesday!
