Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), August 1
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we selected our KBO baseball picks each day.
Hanwha Eagles vs. KIA Tigers: Hanwha (-134)
The Hanwha Eagles are the strongest option on the moneyline at −134 in this showdown with the KIA Tigers. With Ryu Hyun‑jin taking the mound for his 18th start of the season, Hanwha has a clear edge.
Back for a second year in the KBO after a distinguished Major League career, Ryu has posted a solid 3.56 ERA and 1.29 WHIP across 86 innings. He’s also proven effective against KIA, compiling a 3.00 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in his six innings versus the Tigers.

On the other side, the Tigers are sending 23‑year‑old Lee Eui‑lee, who has struggled through just two starts with a 9.00 ERA and 1.86 WHIP. After an unconvincing fourth season in the KBO last year, Lee has shown no meaningful improvement in 2025.
The contrast in consistency and track record is stark, so I’m happy to back the Eagles in this one at -134.
SSG Landers vs. Doosan Bears: Under 8 (-123)
The SSG Landers and Doosan Bears are poised for a low‑scoring duel in Friday’s match at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. With both starting pitchers sporting strong track records against these lineups, the under 8 total runs stands out as a sharp play at -123.
SSG’s Kim Kwang‑hyun brings a 3.96 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 19 games and 104.2 innings this season. His performance is especially impressive against Doosan, where he owns a clinical 2.04 ERA and a 1‑0 record across three starts. He’s clearly locked in and ready to limit the Bears’ offense once again.
Doosan counters with right‑hander Gwak Been, who has been equally stingy against the Landers, producing a fantastic 1.29 ERA and 0.57 WHIP in seven innings this season. Recently, he’s allowed one or no earned runs in three of his last four outings. His season totals back it up, too, with a 3.67 ERA and 1.11 WHIP overall.

With both arms in sync and offenses held in check the under 8 total is the best value play of the day.
