Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), August 5
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we selected our KBO baseball picks each day.
Lotte Giants vs. Kia Tigers: Under 4.5 in the First 5 Innings (-135)
The clash between the Giants and the Tigers promises a tightly contested duel featuring two high‑caliber arms locking in early command.
James Naile takes the mound for the Tigers sporting a stellar 5‑2 record and a 2.50 ERA. He has routinely silenced opposing offenses, so I expect more of the same against the Giants.
Opposing him is Alex Gamboa for the Giants. He’s been even more dominant this season, working to a 7‑2 mark with a 2.08 ERA. The pitcher has been very consistent, so the Tigers will struggle to find many runs against him.
These two starters should largely shut down runs through the first five innings. Since both teams possess shaky bullpens, I prefer targeting the opening five innings. The line is set at 4.5 runs, so the under at -135 is one of the best KBO picks for the day.
Doosan Bears vs. KT Wiz: Doosan Bears (+134)
The Bears come into this one catching plus money in a spot where they have a solid chance of winning against a pitcher they’ve punished in the past.
KT’s Son Ju-young has been steady on the mound against most lineups, but the Bears have completely destroyed him. The pitcher has two defeats against this opponent, with a 21.60 ERA in these two games.
The worst part is that Son Ju-young can’t rely on much run support. KT Wiz is winless in six in a row, scoring more than 2 runs only once during that stretch.
The Bears have been inconsistent this year, but they have a prime opportunity to win. Getting +134 for them given the opposition’s current form and starting pitcher is excellent value.
