Serbia (+160) is the clear leading contender to win the EuroBasket 2025 title. At +160, the talented Serbian side has a 38.5% implied probability to win gold in Europe for the quadrennial tournament.
According to the best basketball betting sites, Serbia doesn’t have much competition at the top of the ladder. Behind the Serbs, Germany (+500) has the next best odds to win EuroBasket 2025. And that price, this is only a 16.7% implied chance to win!
Chasing Germany, France (+600) has the third-shortest price at 14.3%. These three nations represent the top favorites, as there is a significant drop to Greece (+1000) afterward. Spain (+1400) rounds out the top 5, but they have weak odds, with just a 6.7% probability.

EuroBasket 2025 Favorites
The top teams will present a challenge to the rest of the field. There is a stark difference in talent between these three rosters and the competition. Let’s dive into each team in more detail:
Serbia (+160)
Led by three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, the top team in the tournament is undoubtedly Team Serbia. The Serbs bring a talented group to the court featuring five NBA players.
Along with Jokic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Nikola Jovic, Nikola Topic, and Tristan Vukcevic join Team Serbia from the NBA. With Jokic and Bogdanovic, the Serbians are covered in the back and frontcourt.
Bogdanovic’s biggest issue has been staying healthy, but he is ready to go in this tournament. When Bogdanovic is playing pain-free, he is an asset on the floor. In 54 games between the Hawks and Clippers, the 33-year-old averaged 10.8 points and 2.7 assists per game.
The real X-factor for Serbia is most likely going to be Jovic, though. In his third season in the NBA, Jovic had the best year of his career with 10.7 points per game on 45.6% shooting.

He’s only 22 years old and should grow in the coming season, with this tournament an excellent springboard into the 2025-26 NBA campaign. So, Serbia isn’t just Jokic, as he’ll have a superb supporting cast.
The Serbian national team is on fire on an 11-game win streak since last year. Their most recent loss was a hard-fought 95-91 defeat against the USA in the semifinals at Paris 2024.
They responded to win the bronze with a 93-83 victory over Germany. Serbia also defeated Germany by 10 points in the DBB SuperCup final on August 16!
Germany (+500)
The Germans are the second-ranked basketball team in Europe. However, they can’t seem to strategize their way past Serbia.
Germany has lost back-to-back matchups against Serbia, with their latest victory coming in 2023. Since that win, Serbia has managed to build more depth and add to its firepower.
On the contrary, Germany has taken some steps forward on the court, too. It just hasn’t been good enough to keep pace with how potent the Serbian side has become.
There isn’t a shortage of talent on Team Germany. The NBA’s Dennis Schroder and Franz Wagner give the Germans a solid 1-2 punch up front and in the backcourt.

Germany has won six of their previous seven matchups. They were on a six-game win streak before running into Jokic’s squad. Was Germany that dominant in their wins during that stretch, though?
They let Bulgaria hang around in a 94-85 game in February in the EuroBasket qualification stage. Also, Turkey nearly upset Germany in a 73-71 final in the DBB SuperCup semifinals.
Nevertheless, if a flu bug or injuries ravage Serbia, the Germans are going to be in the driver’s seat. Otherwise, they aren’t recommended for your EuroBasket 2025 picks!
France (+600)
The French squad brings a stripped-down version of their national team with them to EuroBasket. Unfortunately for Team France, Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert will be absent from this tournament.
With this in mind, France needs a big effort from their young core. Led by the No. 1 and No. 2 picks of the 2024 NBA Draft, Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr, the group shouldn’t be underestimated.
29-year-old Guerschon Yabusele, who broke out at Paris 2024, parlayed that effort into a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. Yabusele, who last played in the NBA with the Celtics in 2018-19, scored 11 points per game on 50.1% shooting with the 76ers.

He needs to play a big role, while Risacher and Sarr must develop and reach their full potential. France handled their prep games for EuroBasket 2025 well, with four straight wins, including twice over a fairly decent Spain squad.
Dating back to the qualification matchups for EuroBasket, France has won eight consecutive contests. They are in a close battle with Germany for Serbia’s top challenger.
Best EuroBasket 2025 Sleepers
This doesn’t look like a tournament that bodes well for the underdogs, but anything could happen! I’ve selected two long shots to consider including for your EuroBasket betting picks.
EuroBasket 2025 Predictions and Betting Pick
For my top EuroBasket betting pick, it’s really hard to look past Serbia at +160. While they are the clear favorite, there is still strong value here. I expected Serbia to be closer to even money, or even -125 to win EuroBasket 2025.
So, at +160, backing Jokic and co feels like a steal. And, with the development of Jovic, Serbia doesn’t have to rely solely on Jokic to spearhead this charge. I expect Tovic and Topic to have productive tournaments, so it’s going to take a load of weight off Jokic’s shoulders.
No team in the tournament can match Serbia’s depth and experience. Also, you can bet that they will be motivated to represent their country in such a prestigious tournament. In short, Serbia, at +160, is the best bet to win EuroBasket 2025!
