Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), October 14
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we selected our KBO baseball picks each day.
SSG Landers vs. Samsung Lions: Lions -1.5 (+100)
The bookies expect a win for the Lions against SSG in this game 4 of the KBO playoffs, and it’s hard to argue with them given the starting pitchers.
Kim Kwang-hyun, the projected starter for the Landers, has struggled this season. He comes into this one with a 5.00 ERA and just gave up 7 runs in 5 innings against the NC Dinos in his latest start. Furthermore, the pitcher allowed 6 runs in less than 4 innings in his last encounter with the Lions back in August.
That doesn’t bode well for a team that strongly relies on pitching to win. The Landers were second-to-last in the league in runs scored this season, so I don’t think the offense can bail out Kwahg-hyun.
On top of that, the Lions are expected to start Ariel Jurado, who has been a rock with a 2.60 ERA and 1.08 WHIP this year. The guys just recorded 10 strikeouts and zero runs allowed in 7 innings in his latest start, so it’s not like current form is a problem for Jurado either.
The pitcher can also rely on his offense since the Lions were second in runs scored during the regular season and have scored at least 3 runs in 4 games in a row.
All things considered, I’m surprised to see the Lions -1.5 runs available at plus odds and more than happy to take that bet.
