Trey Kaufman-Renn has come out firing to start his senior year at Purdue, and the matchup against Memphis sets up perfectly for another big night.

Averaging 18 points per game on an efficient 61.5% shooting, Kaufman-Renn continues to be a nightmare for opposing frontcourts. His physicality and footwork in the post make him one of the toughest covers in college hoops.

Memphis hasn’t shown much resistance defensively, giving up 81.7 points per game and ranking 263rd in the nation. That’s a bad recipe against a forward like Kaufman-Renn, who torched teams for 20.1 points on 64.8% shooting last season.

With the Tigers struggling to hold the paint, look for Kaufman-Renn to impose his will and surpass the 18.5-point line. This prop is well-positioned in a game where Purdue’s interior strength should take control early.

Total Points: Dug McDaniel (MEM) Under 13.5 (-125)

Dug McDaniel’s scoring line is set at 13.5 points, but the numbers suggest it’s a bit too ambitious given the matchup. The Memphis guard has struggled to find any consistency offensively, averaging just 10.7 points per game while shooting a rough 27% from the field.

Coming off a 1-for-10 performance against UNLV, McDaniel enters Thursday’s clash with Purdue searching for answers. Unfortunately for him, Purdue’s defense is not the place to find them.

The Boilermakers are disciplined, physical and well-equipped to make life difficult for opposing guards. Given McDaniel’s recent shooting woes and the tough defensive assignment ahead, the under on 13.5 points looks like the sharper side.

Expect Purdue to keep him in check and limit his scoring opportunities in what could be another inefficient outing.
