Team Canada is expected to thoroughly dominate the short track speed skating events at Milano Cortina 2026. William Dandjinou is the front runner ahead of teammate Steven Dubois and in strong form entering the 1000m event.

Dandjinou heads into the 1000m with plenty of momentum. He had a breakout campaign two years ago and has been riding a major high ever since the 2023-24 season. The 24-year-old from Sherbrooke, Quebec, is the gold medalist at Rotterdam in the 2024 World Championships.

During that season, Dandjinou captured four gold medals and followed up with three more gold medals the following season. Women’s 3000m Short Track Relay Odds and Prediction

The Netherlands and Canada are expected to duel in the grueling women’s 3000m short track relay at Milano Cortina 2026. If they can stay on their stakes, Italy or Korea are unlikely to keep it close with them.

The Netherlands are coming off a dominant performance in the 3000m short track relay at Beijing 2022. The team captured the gold medal with an Olympic record of 4:03.409. This has been their signature speed skating event, and I don’t see any reason there will be any changes in Italy.
