Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), May 8
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:
KT Wiz vs. Kiwoom Heroes: Wiz (-135)
The KT Wiz are worth backing at -135 against the Kiwoom Heroes on Friday. This projects as a low-scoring duel, but KT’s advantages on the mound and at the plate point toward the Wiz ultimately grinding out a win.
KT starter Oh Won-seok has been in excellent form, recording a 3.18 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across six starts (34 innings). He’s allowed two or fewer earned runs in five of those six outings, providing steady, high-quality innings.
That matches up well against a Kiwoom lineup that has been one of the worst in the KBO, ranking last with a .228 team batting average, 102 RBIs, and only 16 home runs.

Heroes’ starter An Woo-jin has solid overall numbers with a 2.45 ERA, but he’s been ordinary against KT this year, posting a 4.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in limited work.
Meanwhile, the Wiz lead the league with a .274 team average and 175 RBIs, making them one of today’s best KBO bets.
LG Twins vs. Hanwha Eagles: Twins -1.5 (-130)
The defending champion LG Twins are in a strong spot to win this game comfortably, with clear advantages in both starting pitching and overall team depth.
Song Seung-ki gets the start for LG and continues to be one of the more dependable arms in the KBO. He enters with a 2.67 ERA and 1.25 WHIP across 30.1 innings and has pitched especially well against Hanwha, posting a 1.80 ERA in those matchups. His ability to work efficiently and limit damage gives LG a strong foundation.
Hanwha counters with Park Jun-yeong, who has struggled badly to keep runners off base. He owns a 4.50 ERA and an alarming 2.00 WHIP, and his limited workload is another concern. Park has primarily worked in relief and hasn’t pitched more than three innings in any appearance, meaning Hanwha will likely need heavy bullpen usage.

That’s a major issue considering the Eagles’ bullpen has been the worst in the KBO with a 5.42 ERA. LG’s offense should capitalize on those weaknesses. The Twins rank near the top of the league with a .273 team batting average and have the firepower to break this game open late.
Back the Twins on the runline as one of the top KBO picks today.
