Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), May 14
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:
Doosan Bears vs. KIA Tigers: Tigers (-145)
The Doosan Bears look like a strong play in this matchup, with a favorable pitching edge and a starter who should be able to control the game against KIA.
Wes Benjamin gets the start for Doosan and, while his 4.43 ERA isn’t dominant, he remains the more trustworthy arm in this matchup. Benjamin has a solid track record in the KBO and has shown the ability to settle in and work deep into games when he’s locating effectively.
KIA counters with Hwang Dong-ha, who continues to struggle with consistency. He enters with a 5.02 ERA and 1.43 WHIP this season, numbers that closely match his overall career profile. Through four years in the league, Hwang has yet to show reliable improvement and remains vulnerable to big innings.

His history against Doosan is especially concerning, as he owns a 10.80 ERA in two starts versus the Bears. That matchup history suggests Doosan’s lineup sees him well and should be able to generate offense again here.
With the edge on the mound and a favorable matchup against Hwang, Doosan is in a strong position to secure the win. Back the Bears on the moneyline as one of the best KBO bets today.
NC Dinos vs. Lotte Giants: Giants (-110)
The Lotte Giants look like a strong value play at home, with a clear pitching advantage in this matchup against the NC Dinos.
Na Gyun-an has been one of the more reliable starters in the KBO this season. He enters Thursday’s game with a 2.63 ERA and 1.20 WHIP and has consistently limited damage throughout the year. Na has allowed two or fewer earned runs in six of seven starts and no more than three in any outing, giving the Giants a steady presence on the mound every time he pitches.
He also handled the Dinos well earlier this season, posting a solid outing and continuing to show he can work effectively against this lineup. NC counters with Toda Natsuki, who has struggled badly through six starts.
Natsuki owns a 6.11 ERA and 1.61 WHIP and has been hit hard recently, surrendering 11 earned runs over his last 11 innings. His inability to limit baserunners has created major problems, especially against offenses capable of capitalizing on mistakes.
With Na pitching at a consistently high level and the Dinos’ starter in poor form, the edge clearly favors Lotte. So, the Giants on the moneyline are one of the best KBO picks today.
