Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), May 19
There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:
Lotte Giants vs. Hanwha Eagles: Eagles (-125)
The Hanwha Eagles look like a strong moneyline play here, driven by both recent pitching improvement and a clear offensive edge over Lotte. Wilkel Hernandez takes the mound for Hanwha and has shown encouraging signs after a rocky adjustment period in his first KBO season.
He enters with a 4.86 ERA and 1.51 WHIP, but more importantly, he has tightened up recently, allowing just three earned runs across his last 21.2 innings. He has also handled Lotte well in earlier matchups this season, giving Hanwha confidence in this spot.
On the other side, Jeremy Beasley has struggled significantly in this matchup, carrying an 11.57 ERA against the Eagles, which puts Lotte at a clear disadvantage from the start.
Hanwha’s offense adds another major edge. The Eagles rank second in the league with a .280 team batting average and lead the KBO in both home runs (50) and RBIs (252), giving them consistent run production and lineup depth.

With the better offensive profile and a pitching staff trending upward, Hanwha is positioned well to control this game. Back the Eagles on the moneyline as one of the best KBO bets today.
Kiwoom Heroes vs. SSG Landers: Landers (-150)
The SSG Landers are in a strong position here against a struggling Kiwoom squad that continues to sit at the bottom of the KBO standings.
Kiwoom enters at 16-26-1 and remains one of the weakest offensive teams in the league, ranking last with a .226 batting average, 23 home runs, and 129 RBIs. That lack of production puts constant pressure on their pitching staff, which has also struggled overall with a 5.16 team ERA.
Park Jeong-hun gets the start for the Heroes, but his transition into a starting role has been uneven. While he has been serviceable in relief, his limited starting sample (4 earned runs in 9.1 innings) suggests uncertainty in a longer outing. Combined with a taxed bullpen, Kiwoom’s pitching depth remains a concern.

SSG counters with Takeda Shota, who has not been at his best this season but is in a favorable bounce-back spot. More importantly, the Landers provide strong offensive support, ranking third in the league with a .268 batting average and 45 home runs, giving them multiple paths to generate runs.
Consider adding the Landers on the moneyline as one of the top KBO picks today.
