New York (4-4) finally stopped its own skid with that win, and the offense looked much sharper. Marine Johannes caught fire with 21 points and went 7-of-9 from three, while the Liberty shot 47% from deep as a team and were perfect on 14 free throws.

Phoenix is searching at both ends right now. I like New York to build on the win and cover at home.

The Minnesota Lynx have been one of the WNBA’s hottest teams lately, and they look well positioned to keep that momentum rolling against a struggling Chicago Sky squad.

Chicago (3-4) is heading in the opposite direction. The Sky have lost three straight, including a 111-104 home defeat to Toronto in which they allowed the opposition to shoot 56% from the floor. Sydney Taylor had 27 points off the bench.
However, defensive issues continue to be a concern, and injuries to several key players have only made matters more difficult.
