Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), June 17

There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:

Hanwha Eagles vs. NC Dinos: Eagles (-110)

The Eagles offer solid value in this matchup behind one of the KBO’s most accomplished pitchers and one of the league’s most productive offenses.

Ryu Hyun-jin continues to perform at an elite level, posting a 2.84 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 69.2 innings. The veteran left-hander has been particularly sharp recently, allowing just two earned runs over his last 12 innings and holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in five straight starts. His consistency gives Hanwha a significant edge every time he takes the mound.

The Dinos counter with Riley Thompson, who has put together a respectable season with a 3.40 ERA. While Thompson has pitched well overall, he faces a much tougher challenge against a Hanwha lineup that has been among the KBO’s best.

Hanwha’s offense is a major reason to back the Eagles. They rank near the top of the league with a .277 team batting average and lead the KBO with 70 home runs and 364 RBIs. That combination of power and run production gives Ryu plenty of support and creates pressure on opposing pitchers throughout the lineup.

With the superior starter, home-run power, and overall offensive production, Hanwha appears to be the stronger option for your best KBO bets today.

LG Twins vs. KIA Tigers: Tigers (-125)

The Tigers appear to have the advantage in this matchup thanks to a significant edge on the mound.

Adam Oller has been one of the KBO’s most effective starters this season, posting a stellar 2.66 ERA and 0.95 WHIP through 81.1 innings. Oller has been especially dominant recently, allowing no runs in three of his last five starts while consistently working deep into games and limiting baserunners.

LG counters with Jang Hyun-sik, who has primarily worked in a relief role this season. Jang enters with a 4.30 ERA overall and has struggled against KIA, posting a 6.00 ERA in the matchup this year. His limited workload as a starter could also force the Twins to rely on their bullpen earlier than desired.

The contrast between the starters is difficult to overlook. Oller has provided ace-level production throughout the season, while Jang is still adjusting to a larger role and has yet to demonstrate the same level of consistency.

With KIA holding the clear pitching advantage and Oller in excellent form, the Tigers are well-positioned to control this game for one of the best KBO betting picks today.
