Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 7
There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.
Dallas Wings (+5.5) (-115) vs. New York Liberty
The Dallas Wings (13-8) are riding a two-game winning streak, and both of those wins came on the road. That kind of road toughness tells you something real about this team right now. Paige Bueckers and Jessica Shepard are both playing at a high level, giving Dallas the offensive firepower to stay competitive against anyone on any given night.

New York (13-8) is also on a two-game winning streak and their offense is finding its rhythm. Sabrina Ionescu is rounding back into form after dealing with injury, which makes the Liberty a dangerous team. But “dangerous” doesn’t automatically mean they cover a 5.5-point spread, especially against a Dallas squad that has shown it can hang on the road.
Given their current form and the performances of Bueckers and Shepard, it’s a very reasonable ask for Dallas to cover 5.5 points on the road. The juice (the -115 price on the Wings) is slightly worse than even, but the value is still there.
Chicago Sky vs. Phoenix Mercury (-3.5) (-110)
The Sky (6-14) come into this one cold. Chicago has dropped two straight (both losses to Las Vegas) and their road record sits at a rough 3-7 on the season. At -3.5, Phoenix (8-13) needs to win by four or more. Given Chicago’s struggles away from home and a defense that ranks among the league’s worst, that’s a very reachable number for a Mercury squad playing its best basketball right now.

Phoenix is riding a three-game winning streak and looks dialed in on both ends of the floor. Kahleah Copper has been especially hot lately, and when she’s cooking, the Mercury offense is tough to contain. A defense-challenged Sky team on the road is exactly the kind of matchup Phoenix should be able to exploit and cover with room to spare.
The public often gravitates toward the underdog and the points, but the situational edge here points firmly toward Phoenix. A team playing better basketball at home against a road-weary opponent on a losing streak is a classic spot to back the favorite at WNBA betting sites.
