Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 16

There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:

Kiwoom Heroes vs. Hanwha Eagles: Eagles -1.5 (-125)

The Eagles have a favorable matchup against the league’s worst team and are well-positioned to cover the runline behind one of the KBO’s hottest pitchers and a clear offensive advantage.

Owen White continues to impress in his first KBO season, entering this start with a stellar 2.64 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. White has been one of the league’s most consistent starters, and he draws an ideal matchup against a Kiwoom lineup that has struggled to produce runs throughout the year.

The Heroes remain at the bottom of the standings with a 29-57-1 record and rank near the bottom of the league on both sides of the ball. They own a .234 team batting average and a 5.04 team ERA, making it difficult to compete against one of the KBO’s stronger clubs.

Raul Alcantara gets the start for Kiwoom and is capable of keeping games competitive, but he is unlikely to receive much offensive support. Against a Hanwha lineup that ranks fourth in the league with a .274 team batting average, Alcantara will have little margin for error.

With Owen White anchoring the rotation and the Eagles holding decisive advantages in both offense and overall team form, Hanwha is one of the best KBO bets today.

KIA Tigers vs. SSG Landers: Tigers (-145)

The Tigers have one of the strongest pitching advantages on the KBO slate, making them an attractive moneyline play against an SSG club that enters with major questions on the mound.

Adam Oller gets the ball for KIA after an outstanding first half of the season. He owns a 2.36 ERA and 0.98 WHIP through 16 starts and has been especially dominant recently, allowing one earned run or fewer in four of his last five outings. Oller has consistently limited baserunners and given the Tigers a chance to win every time he takes the mound.

The Landers are expected to start Pedro Avila, who will be making his KBO debut. While Avila brings professional experience, making a first start in a new league can present a steep learning curve, particularly against a capable KIA lineup.

SSG’s pitching staff has also struggled throughout the season, ranking last in the KBO with a 5.84 team ERA. That places additional pressure on a newcomer to stabilize a rotation that has consistently allowed runs.

With Oller pitching at an ace level and the Landers relying on an unproven KBO starter backed by the league’s weakest pitching staff, the Tigers have a clear edge for one of the best KBO picks today.
