Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), July 17

There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:

Doosan Bears vs. NC Dinos: Bears (-115)

The Bears have a favorable pitching matchup and offer solid value on the moneyline with one of the KBO’s hottest starters taking the mound.

20-year-old Choi Min-seok has emerged as one of the league’s most reliable arms, posting a superb 2.33 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 16 starts and 92.1 innings. He has been dominant over the past month, allowing one earned run or fewer in six consecutive outings. Choi also blanked the Dinos earlier this season, holding them scoreless while posting an outstanding 0.43 WHIP.

The Dinos counter with Curtis Taylor, who enters with a 4.26 ERA and 1.32 WHIP. While Taylor has shown flashes of effectiveness, he has struggled against Doosan this season, recording a 4.50 ERA in the matchup and facing a difficult test against a confident Bears lineup.

The biggest edge belongs to Doosan on the mound. Choi has been one of the KBO’s most consistent pitchers and has already demonstrated he can neutralize the Dinos’ offense. Taylor, meanwhile, has been far less consistent and has yet to solve the Bears.

With Choi Min-seok pitching at an elite level and owning a proven track record against NC, Doosan is positioned for one of the best KBO bets today.

KT Wiz vs. LG Twins: Twins (-165)

The Twins have a clear edge in this matchup behind one of the KBO’s most dependable starters. With Lachlan Wells on the mound and a favorable history against KT, LG is one of the top KBO picks today.

Lachlan Wells has been outstanding this season, posting a 2.82 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 79.2 innings. He has allowed two or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts and has consistently given LG quality outings. Wells has also excelled against the Wiz in 2026, recording a 1.64 ERA in the season series.

KT counters with So Hyeong-jun, who has struggled more against LG than against most opponents. He owns a 4.00 ERA versus the Twins this season, and he’ll face an LG lineup that has consistently produced against quality pitching.

The pitching matchup is the deciding factor. Wells has been one of the league’s most consistent starters, while his track record against KT suggests he can keep the Wiz’s offense in check. If he continues that form, the Twins should be in control throughout the game.
