Best KBO Predictions Today (With Reasoning), August 13

There are important things to know before betting on the KBO. Luckily, if you don’t have time to do your own research, you can discover how we came to a conclusion for each one of our KBO picks today:

Hanwha Eagles vs. Doosan Bears: Under 7.5 (-115)

The Hanwha Eagles and Doosan Bears set up as an excellent pitching matchup, making the under 7.5 runs one of the stronger KBO bets on the board. Both teams send reliable starters to the mound, with Ryu Hyun-jin and Choi Min-seok capable of keeping the opposing offenses in check.

Ryu enters with a 3.41 ERA and 1.16 WHIP through 18 appearances in 2026. He has been particularly effective against Doosan, posting a 2.84 ERA in his matchups with the Bears this season. His recent success against this lineup gives Hanwha a strong chance to limit scoring opportunities.

Doosan counters with Choi Min-seok, who has been even more dominant throughout the season. Choi owns an elite 2.64 ERA and 1.30 WHIP, ranking among the KBO’s best current pitchers. His ability to consistently prevent big innings makes it difficult to expect significant offensive production from Hanwha.

With both starters pitching at an elite level and each having demonstrated success against the opposing lineup, runs should be difficult to come by. A low-scoring game would also put pressure on both offenses to manufacture runs rather than relying on big innings.

The matchup strongly favors the pitchers, making the 7.5-run total appealing. If Ryu and Choi perform anywhere near their season averages, this game should stay comfortably below the number.

KT Wiz vs. NC Dinos: Dinos (-115)

The NC Dinos offer strong value on the moneyline in this matchup, with Curtis Taylor getting the start at home against Davis Daniel in his KBO debut. Taylor’s recent form and his success against KT gives NC the pitching edge in what should be a competitive game.

Taylor enters with a 4.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP overall and has been in solid form lately, allowing three or fewer runs in three of his previous four starts. He’s also been particularly effective against the Wiz this season, carrying a 2.45 ERA in the matchup. That track record gives the Dinos confidence that Taylor can keep KT’s offense under control.

KT counters with 29-year-old Davis Daniel, who is making his KBO debut after struggling during his time in the Braves’ organization. Daniel posted a 5.40 ERA across 10 innings last season and also recorded a 6.23 ERA over 30.1 innings the year before. The move to Korea represents an opportunity to reset, but making a first KBO appearance against a Dinos’ team at home is a difficult introduction.

The experience and recent form clearly favor Taylor. He’s familiar with the KBO environment and has already demonstrated that he can limit the Wiz lineup, while Daniel will be adjusting to a new league, hitters and pitching environment in his first appearance.

The Dinos should also benefit from playing at home, where Taylor can set the tone early. If he continues his recent consistency and keeps KT’s offense in check, NC should have enough opportunities to secure the win.
