The SSG Landers and Kiwoom Heroes have a strong setup for a high-scoring matchup, making the over 8.5 runs an appealing KBO betting option. These teams feature the two weakest pitching staffs in the league, and both starting pitchers enter in poor form.

SSG sends Kim Keon-woo to the mound with a 6.01 ERA and 1.73 WHIP. He’s struggled to limit damage recently, allowing 10 earned runs over his previous four starts. Kim has also been particularly vulnerable against Kiwoom, posting a 10.13 ERA against the Heroes in 2026.

Kiwoom starter Ha Yeong-min has also been inconsistent, entering with a 4.63 ERA and 1.52 WHIP across 22 outings. His recent form has been concerning, as he’s surrendered 19 earned runs over his last five appearances.

With two struggling starters and the KBO’s bottom two pitching staffs facing each other, this matchup offers plenty of paths to offense. Neither team needs an explosive performance to threaten this relatively low number.

Hanwha Eagles vs. KT Wiz: Wiz (-115)

The KT Wiz are in a strong position to secure back-to-back wins over the Hanwha Eagles, with So Hyeong-jun providing the edge on the mound. At -115, KT is the preferred moneyline side in this matchup.

So has been sharp throughout the season after pitching for South Korea in the WBC, posting a 3.36 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 17 starts. His recent consistency has been particularly encouraging, as he’s allowed two or fewer earned runs in six of his last eight outings. That gives the Wiz a reliable starting point against an Eagles lineup that will need to find success against a pitcher in good form.

KT also brings one of the KBO’s strongest offenses into the matchup. The Wiz rank second in the league with a .278 team batting average, creating a difficult assignment for Hanwha starter Ryu Hyun-jin.

Ryu owns a respectable 3.85 ERA overall, but his recent form has been a major concern. He’s allowed at least four earned runs in five of his last six starts, surrendering 23 runs over that stretch. He’s also struggled against KT this season, recording a 4.11 ERA versus the Wiz.

With So pitching consistently and KT’s offense providing plenty of support, the Wiz have the better overall setup. Ryu’s recent struggles could give one of the league’s top offenses enough opportunities to take control of the game for one of the best KBO picks today.
