Best College Basketball Player Prop Bets (With Reasoning)

Let’s explore the reasoning behind our best NCAAB props today, November 2.

Total Points: Thomas Haugh (FLA) Over 15.5 (-115)

No. 1 Florida should get off to a strong start, and Thomas Haugh should continue right away. After an impressive junior campaign, Haugh is poised to take another step forward as a senior and become an even bigger part of the Gators’ offensive attack.

Haugh averaged 17.1 points per game while shooting 46% from the floor, demonstrating his ability to score efficiently and contribute consistently. His combination of size, athleticism, and scoring ability should create problems for Miami’s defense, particularly if Florida establishes their offense early.

Miami also faces a difficult matchup against Florida’s experienced and physically imposing frontcourt. Haugh should have opportunities to score around the basket, attack mismatches, and knock down perimeter shots. He averaged 6.1 rebounds per game last season, too, highlighting his ability to stay involved on both ends of the floor.

With Haugh coming off an All-American season and earning preseason SEC Player of the Year honors, I expect him to lead the way offensively. Over 15.5 points is one of my best college basketball player props today.

The Bet
Haugh Over 15.5 Points
-115

Total Points: Caden Pierce (PUR) Over 13.5 (-125)

Purdue’s Caden Pierce is a player I expect to make an immediate impact in Monday’s season opener against the Gonzaga Bulldogs. After transferring from Princeton, Pierce is entering his senior season with an opportunity to become one of Purdue’s leading offensive contributors. He brings plenty of experience and an impressive scoring pedigree to the Boilermakers.

Pierce averaged 11.9 points per game across his three seasons at Princeton, including a career-best 16.6 points per game in 2023-24 when he was named Ivy League Player of the Year. He also averaged 9.2 rebounds that season, showcasing his ability to contribute beyond scoring.

This should be an entertaining, high-scoring matchup between two good programs, and Pierce should have plenty of opportunities to get involved offensively.

With Purdue looking for new scoring options following several key departures, I expect the veteran forward to take on an expanded role. Over 13.5 points on Pierce is one of my favorite college basketball prop bets today.

The Bet
Pierce Over 13.5 Points
-125
